EVELYN HARRIS (nee DANIEL) It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Evelyn Harris on Wednesday, December 1, 2004 in Fred Douglas Lodge with family by her side at the age of 87 years. Evelyn will be lovingly remembered by her husband Gilbert Thomas Harris; sons, David and Gordon; grandchildren
, Kyle, Andrea, Sheila, Selina, Chris and Jason; great-grandchildren, Riley, Emily, Colby and Joshua; and a brother Stanley. She was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Daisy. A celebration of Evelyn's life will be held on Monday, December 6 at 1:00 p.m. in Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. with Rev. John Lenshyn, D. Min. officiating. DORIS ANDREA HARZAN 1966 - 2004 With deepest sorrow we announce the passing of Doris on November 30, 2004. As parents, we lost the most special and precious daughter one could have. We'll miss her forever. She was a loved and wonderful sister, niece, aunt, cousin and friend to many. Whoever knew Doris loved her for her character and dedication. Nobody could be around Doris without being affected by her. Doris fought with illness for many years. Bedside service was held at St. Boniface Hospital with immediate family. NELLIE HUZEL Peacefully on December 1, 2004, on her 87th birthday, Nellie Huzel passed away at the Holy Family Nursing Home with family and Sisters at her side. Nellie was predeceased by her parents, Marie and Ludwig Kulczycki; her husband Andrew; sister Millie Kuchar; and brothers, Sam and Frank Kulczycki. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Lorraine and husband Jack Kisil; granddaughter Susan and husband Gary Bell; great-granddaughters, Kristen and Talianna residing in New Jersey; grandson Douglas and wife Kathy Kisil and great-grandsons, Max and Sam. Nellie was a very sociable person and enjoyed lawn bowling, badminton, swimming and the seniors club at the North End Y. She enjoyed cooking and baking and loved to travel. Her garden was enviable. Heartfelt appreciation is extended to, Lena Gawronski, her longtime friend, a caring individual who took Nellie for walks in the park and always brought Nellie creative and delicious treats. Prayers will be said on Sunday, December 5 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, December 6 at 10:00 a.m. at the Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Watt Street and Munroe with Rev. Darren Kawiuk officiating. Interment to follow in All Saints Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dr. Paul Kisil, Steven Kisil, Brian Huzel, Rozina Smith, Lawrence Kulczycki and Bernie Kulczycki. A special thank you is extended to the Sister Servants of Mary Immaculate for their love, compassion and prayers, along with the Holy Family Nursing Home staff and especially the St. John's unit who provided care with respect, sincerity and dignity as an extended family for the past seven years. ROMEO IMBEAULT Suddenly on November 27, 2004 at Riverview Health Centre, Romeo passed away at the age of 59. Predeceased by his parents, Antoine and Jeannette Imbeault; brothers, Ligory, Raymond, Joseph and Donald; sisters, Yvonne, Fabiola and Emelda. Left to mourn his passing are Daniel (Jackie), Lionel (Rolande), Jean-Paul, Laurie (Jean), Martha (Jimmy), Anita; many nieces and nephews from Thunder Bay, Winnipeg and Calgary. LAWRENCE LEO INGI ISFELD Peacefully on Friday, December 3, 2004 Lawrence Isfeld, aged 74 years, passed away at his home in Gimli, MB. Lawrence was born
in Gimli on June 22, 1930. He was a lifelong resident of Gimli and was a commercial fisherman for over 60 years. He was predeceased by his wife Peggy; parents, Jack and Madge; brothers, Victor and Harold; sister Gloria Thomas; infant son John; nephew Chris Thomas; and granddaughters, Anastasia and Crystal. Left surviving are daughters, Margaret, Brenda and Charlene; sons, Lawrence, Harold, Garth, Clarence and Henry; stepdaughters, Lillian, Eleanor and Trudy; stepsons, Laurie and Danny; 28 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother Steve; sisters, Valdina (Dennis) McFadden, Georgina (Percy) Crawford, Evelyn Harrison and Tammy Bolduc; and numerous nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 8 at 1:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Gimli with Mr. Steve Isfeld officiating. MARION FORSYTHE KENNEDY 1922 - 2004 Marion passed away at the Agape Hospice on December 1, 2004, at the age of 82 years. She is lovingly remembered by a sister Miriam Curtis; children, Nancy Langdon and Jean (Alan) Gardner; grandchildren, Bethany and Jared (Angela Schafer) Langdon, Ross, Laurel and Raina (Tim Riley) Gardner; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie and Bennett Langdon; and many nieces and nephews. Marion was born
and raised in Winnipeg where she met and married
Bill Kennedy in 1943 and raised her children. In 1961 the family was transferred to Montreal where she pursued an accounting career. Marion later moved to Toronto where she retired and became an active volunteer at Scarborough Village. From an early age, Marion was skilled in designing and dressmaking. She moved to Calgary in 1994, where her creativity was further expressed through knitting and crocheting for the Salvation Army and the Kerby Centre where she was an active volunteer in their Handicrafts Boutique. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family for a reception at Foster's Garden Chapel, 3220 4th Street NW, Calgary, on Monday, December 6 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made directly to the Alberta Cancer Foundation, in care of Tom Baker Cancer Centre, 1331 29 Street NW, Calgary, AB T2N 4N2.

TEENIE KORPESHO Peacefully with her family at her side, on December 1, 2004, Teenie Korpesho aged 84 years, dearly beloved wife of Fred Korpesho passed away at Vita Hospital. Fred and farmed in the Hamrylik area. In October 1960 they moved to Winnipeg. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening, fishing, camping, and travelling. HENRY H. LOEWEN 1919 - 2004 On Wednesday, December 1, 2004 at the Boundary Trails Health Centre, Henry H. Loewen, aged 85 years, of Winkler, MB went to his eternal rest. Henry was the well known owner of Loewen Plumbing and Heating in Winkler for many years. He leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife Marie Loewen (nee Miller) of Winkler; three daughters, Louise and John Pauls of Winnipeg and their son Michael and wife Kelly and their son Jordan; Eileen and Jake Bartsch of Swift Current, SK and their three children, Doug, James and wife Crystal and their daughter Abby, Jodi and husband Paul; Myra and Ron Wiebe of Winkler and their three children, Kristin and husband Nathan and their son Noah, Jen and husband Tom, Joel; one son Barry and Val Loewen of Morden and their two daughters, Ashley and special friend Mike, and Katie. He also leaves to mourn one sister Anne and Frank Wiebe of the Burwalde, District; one sister-in-law Inez (John) Loewen; three brothers-in-law, Ed Janke; Jake Neisteter; George Towns. She was predeceased by her mother Helga Johnson on May 31, 2003. A private funeral service was held at Neil Bardal Funeral Home and burial at Brookside Cemetery in Winnipeg on November 26. WALTER WESLEY LUPAL December 23, 1919 - December 2, 2004 It is with sadness that we announce the death of Walter Lupal on Thursday, December 2, 2004 at the Concordia Hospital at the age of 84 years. A Second World War veteran he participated in the liberation of Holland and returned in 1995 to Heino, Holland to help celebrate the 50th anniversary of this event. He married
Cathlene May Cameron in 1946. He was predeceased by his mother Lottie (nee Stecyk) in 1972, his sister Louise (1975), and his father George (1987). He worked as a Maintenance Foreman at the Shell Oil Refinery in St. Boniface. He had a keen mechanical sense, having taken apart and reassembled a car engine at age 16. He will be remembered by his wife May; sons, Greg (Valerie) and Robert (Cheryl); and grandchildren, Daena, Dustin, and Perry. He travelled with May to Australia, Hawaii, Jamaica, Europe, and various destinations in the United States to golf. He liked and participated in gardening, baseball, curling, bowling, golf, hunting, fishing, and drinking beer. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service. Donations in Wally's name can be made to the charity of one's choice. A special thanks to the staff of North Geriatric Ward, Concordia Hospital for their compassionate care. A special thanks to Kurt Schwarz for his ministries. DIANE LYNNE MacARTHUR It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Diane at age 55 on November 21, 2004, following a valiant, unremitting battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Bob; their son Ian; aunts, Jean and Adele; uncle Danny; and cousins, Mike, Judy, Grant, Gwen, Susan, Kim and Darryl. Diane's radiant smile and love of life touched us all, and she will be fondly remembered by her entire family, including the MacArthurs and McLeods in Alberta and British Columbia, as well as her many dear friends and colleagues in Manitoba and across the country. Diane was born
in Winnipeg, the sole daughter of Sophie and George Hunka (both deceased), and attended Sisler High School. Following her father's transfer with Air Canada to Montreal in 1965, Diane completed high school there and graduated from McGill University with a B.Sc. (Science) in 1970. She then returned to Winnipeg to pursue postgraduate studies in the Department of Zoology, University of Manitoba, earning a M.Sc. in 1974. Diane has worked as a sessional lecturer and biology instructor at the Universities of Calgary, Winnipeg and, most recently, Manitoba, where she was employed as a senior instructor in the Department of Zoology at the time of her passing. Diane was a dedicated teacher committed to instilling in students an appreciation for the virtues of direct observation and "hands-on" experience in the learning of basic physiological principles and an understanding of how animals work. Whether counselling a student, family member, or close friend, Diane took their problems to heart and could always be counted on for sound, well-reasoned advice. She was a "straight-shooter" who called them as she saw them, and had a strong sense of fairness and natural justice. She was a loyal friend, loving wife and devoted mother who often put the interests of others ahead of her own. In caring for her aging parents, Diane was a model seniors' advocate who strived to ensure their final years were spent with dignity and in comfort. When she wasn't teaching or attending to her family, Diane divided her time between caring for her two Arabian horses, competing in dressage, gardening and cottaging on the Winnipeg River. Diane's cheery smile and upbeat personality provided a positive energy that will be deeply missed by all of us so fortunate to have known and loved her. KATHLEEN MacKENZIE R.N. 1928 - 2004 Peacefully on November 29, 2004, Kathleen passed away at St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 76 years. in Winnipeg and grew up in Elmwood attending Lord Selkirk Schools I and II and St. Johns High School. She graduated from Nursing School at the Grace Hospital Winnipeg in 1951 and received her nurses registration at that time.
