CVETA KRILIC (LAKATOS) November 26, 1931- October 30, 2004 Cveta Krilic passed away peacefully at Seven Oaks General Hospital on October 30, 2004 at the age of 72. Cveta is survived by her daughter Kathy (Cliff) Dryden; son Frank (Gail) Lakatos; grandchildren; Brandi, Steven, Corey, Charles, Joshua, Chelsea and Kyle. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, November 4 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home with interment to follow. The family would like to thank Ivan Rasic for helping Cveta and being a good friend to her and Trinity at Seven Oaks for helping us get through the last few difficult days. She will be missed dearly and always be remembered and loved by her family all over the world. We love you Mom and Grandma. CLARKE LEWIS July 8, 1919 - October 30, 2004 Clarke Lewis passed away on October 30, 2004 at the Morris General Hospital at the age of 85 years. He is survived by his sisters-in-law, Betty Lou March and Lorna Lewis; five nephews, Kim and wife Jo-Ann Lewis and their son Michael, Brock and wife Lori Lewis and their children, Owen and Kaela, Pat and wife Waltra Lewis and their sons, Sam and Tom, Tim Lewis, Barry Lewis; and one niece Lori and husband Bruce Lamont. Clarke was predeceased by his parents, Tom and Vera Lewis; stepmother Bertha Lewis; two sisters, June and Kathleen; and three brothers, Jim, Jerry, and Owen. Clarke was born
on July 8, 1919 and was raised and educated in Morris. When duty called during the Second World War he joined the Air Force and served as a wireless operator on Lancaster bombers during many raids over Germany. After the war Clarke returned home and attended the University of Manitoba where he received a Diploma in Agriculture. He did some farming, but made his living as an electrician in Winnipeg with the T. Eaton Co., where he worked until retirement. After his retirement he moved back to Morris. He was a life member and Past President of the Morris Branch No. 111 of the Royal Canadian Legion, and a life member of the Morris Museum. He was also a long time member and supporter of the Valley Agricultural Society. Clarke had been an avid golfer, curler, and down hill and cross country skier, sang in the United Church Choir, and was interested in gardening, travel, and all sporting events. The family would like to thank Dr. Manness and the nursing staff at the Morris General Hospital for their help and kindness during Clarke's stay. If friends so desire, donations can be made in Clarke's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba or the Morris United Church Memorial Fund. Cremation has taken place. The funeral services will be held at the Morris United Church on Wednesday, November 3 at 2:00 p.m. Interment in the Morris Cemetery with a reception to follow at the church. WALTER LINDEBLOM Peacefully on November 1, 2004, Walter Lindeblom passed away on his 82nd birthday at the Deer Lodge Centre. He was predeceased by his wife Ella in 2000, daughter Diane in 1975 and brother Ken. Walter is survived by three children, Murray (Debra), Judy (Gerry), John (Selma); grandchildren, Jeremy, Nikolee, Samantha, John, Keira, Erika and Derek; great-grandson Drake; brother Stanley (Janet); close friends, Ruth and Yvonne; Deer Lodge pals, Lloyd and Roy. Walter was born
November 1, 1922 in Scotsguard, SK and spent his youth in both Brock and Marshall, SK. Enlisting in 1942, Walter served overseas in England with the Bomber Command. Following the war, Walter helped his father set up a Massey - Harris dealership in Lashburn, SK. In 1949 he re-enlisted in the forces and served as an aero - engine mechanic. Following retirement from the military at age 47 he worked as an inspector of small engine parts for Standard Aero until cancer forced him to leave the work force in 1984. Walter married
in Lloydminster in 1946, and he and his wife had a wonderful 54 years together. Walter had happy memories of their family times and credited his wife with placing the family first. They visited all of the United States except Hawaii and Alaska. He was a member of both the Canadian Legion and the Masonic Order. Walter attended chapel regularly at Deer Lodge and believed strongly in the power of prayer. He appreciated the kindness of his children and grandchildren. Thank you to the staff at Deer Lodge, T5, Cafeteria and Recreation for their excellent care. CHRISTINA McDONALD MARTIN (nee SUTHERLAND) Peacefully on October 30, 2004 at the Riverview Health Centre, Chrissie passed away at the age of 90 years. Left to cherish her memory are her nephews and nieces, William Sutherland (Arlene), Alice Palmer (Gordon), Janet Bodner (Bruce), Stewart Martin (Donna), Carol Heiling-Maradyn (Nick) and numerous great-nieces and nephews. Chrissie was predeceased by Cam, her husband of 36 years in 1982; brothers, Benjamin and William; infant sister Elizabeth; sisters-in law, Helen and Lillian Sutherland and brother-in-law Stewart Martin. She was born
in Regina, SK on June 22, 1914 moving to Winnipeg with her family in 1920. She went to school in Winnipeg, graduating from St. John's High school before entering the Normal School for teacher training. Chrissie taught in several schools in the Winnipeg division, mostly at Greenway school before leaving the teaching profession to marry her friend and colleague Cam. In her younger days Chrissie was highly competitive as both a curler and a bowler winning numerous awards in top level competition. She completed her final year of league bowling with the River Heights Ladies in May of 2003. Chrissie had lived on Borebank Street for over 40 years before moving to Rosewood Village at The Waverley and lastly to the Riverview Health Centre. The family thanks the staff of these homes for the kind and compassionate care they gave to our Aunt. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 3 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Reception and interment will follow. on February 13, 1967, grew up in Ile des Chenes, MB and later settled with his family in Lorette, MB. Left to mourn are his wife Janet and their children, Robert Jr. and Jaclyn; his father Orville; his mother Geraldine; sisters, Ingrid (Gilbert) Jamault; brother Tom (Dana); father and mother-in-law, Rudy and Denise Hudrick; sister-in-law Linda; brother-in-law Rudy Jr. (Brigitte); grandmothers, Olga Hudrick and Delia Fontaine; his adoring nephews and nieces, Erik and Jared Jamault, Owen Pickering, Ashley, Amanda and Amber Hudrick. Rob will also be missed by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Rob and Janet were married
in 1989 and soon started a family, Robert Jr. in 1990 and Jaclyn in 1992. In 1994, Rob fulfilled his dream of becoming a journeyman carpenter and worked many successful years for PCL Constructors. Rob took great pride in his work on numerous projects in Winnipeg, northern Manitoba, Ontario and Yellowknife, NWT. His strong work ethic and dedication were admired by many. Rob deeply loved his family. He and Janet, or as he would say "Toots", shared in supporting their children in various activities. They enjoyed playing cards and socializing with friends. Rob treasured his time with his kids. He and Robert shared an interest in cars, snowmobiles, and anything on wheels. Rob was proud to have Robert, his "Parch", helping him with many home projects. Rob and Jaclyn, "Daddy's Little Girl", shared a love of music and singing along. He was proud of her ringette abilities. They enjoyed their marathon shopping trips together. Rob was always happy to get together with friends and family to play games and have some laughs. We all miss you, Rob. You'll live on forever in our hearts. We love you Dad! Loving you forever and ever and ever, Babe. Rest in peace. Prayers and service will be held Tuesday, November 2 at 1:00 p.m. at Notre Dame de Lorette Parish Church. Private interment will be held at a later date. MARCELIA ROBINSON (nee THORKELSSON) March 3, 1907 - October 30, 2004 "Auntie Marcy" passed away peacefully at the Poseidon Care Centre after a prolonged illness. She was predeceased by three sisters, Fjola Mack of Los Angeles, Rae Flint of San Jose, and Sarah Thorkelsson of Winnipeg; three brothers, Stefan Olafson of Riverton, Paul Thorkelsson of Victoria, BC, and Thorkel (Monty) Thorkelsson of Minneapolis. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. Marcelia was born
in Winnipeg to Johanna Maria Fredricksdottor and Soffinias Thorkelsson. She lived and worked in Winnipeg all of her life. "Auntie Marcy" had a bout of infantile paralysis as a toddler and she suffered from the effects of this illness all her life. The family would like to thank the staff at Poseidon Personal Care Home for many years of care and compassion. Marcelia was an animal lover (especially cats). Donations made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., R2L 1X3 in Marcelia's memory would be appreciated. Rest in peace.
