Mario H. Ferraez, 79, of Pittsburg, died Sunday in a Concord hospital after a long illness.
A memorial Mass will be held at 1 p.m. today at Church of Visitation, 655 Sunnydale, San Francisco.
Arrangements were made by Passalacqua Funeral Chapel, Benicia.
Addie B. Maldonado

Addie B. Maldonado, 99, of Vallejo died Sunday at home.
A visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. Thursday at Twin Chapels Mortuary, Vallejo. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Vincent's Catholic Church, Vallejo. Burial will be in All Souls Catholic Cemetery.
Richard 'Dick' Magliari
April 16, 1922 - August 30, 2003
Richard "Dick" Magliari, 81, of Vallejo, passed away on Saturday in Vallejo following a brief illness.
A native of Vallejo, Mr. Magliari worked on Mare Island Naval Shipyard for 31 years, retiring in 1973.
He was a member of the B.P.O.E. #559, Vallejo Moose Lodge and the Vallejo Golf Club for more than 40 years.
Dick enjoyed playing golf, spending time with his family and friends and meeting with his morning breakfast group, "The Corner Crew" at Scotty's in Vallejo.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carole. They were married 46 years.
Survivors include his daughter Suzan (Bert) Grimm of Glen Ellen, son, Rick of Petaluma, sister, Lorraine Lakeman of Rodeo, companion, Jean Zalba Crockett, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Memorial services to celebrate Dick Magliari's life will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday at Twin Chapels Mortuary.
Inurnment will be private.
Contributions may be sent to the Concord Hospice Program.
Margarita Sanchez
1912 - July 25, 2003
Margarita Sanchez, 91 of Fairfield, died Friday in Fairfield.
A visitation is planned from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with Father Amateo Cortes officiating. Entombment will be at Fairmont Memorial Park.
Nicolas V. Espinoza
May 15, 1927 - July 24, 2003
Nicolas V. "Nico" Espinoza, 76, died Thursday at his home in San Francisco.
Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Valente, Marini, Perata & Co., 4840 Mission St., San Francisco. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Cathedral, Gough and Geary Streets, San Francisco. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Colma.
Contributions are preferred to Fathers & Brothers of Maryknoll, P.O. Box 302, Maryknoll, NY 10545-9913. Arrangements are under the direction of Twin Chapels Mortuary, Vallejo.
Winnie G. Mathews
March 8, 1905 - July 27, 2003
Winnie G. Mathews, 98, died Sunday in Vallejo.
Born in Monroe, Ark., she was a resident of Vallejo for the last five years.
Mrs. Mathews was preceded in death by her husband, Rod; daughter, Betty; and great-grandson, Danny Mathews Jr.
Survivors include her son, Billy (Marie) of Vallejo; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is planned from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday at Skyview Funeral Chapel. Services are at 11 a.m. Saturday at Skyview Funeral Chapel.
Contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
Victor Duenas Torres
May 7, 1942 - Jan. 10, 2004
Victor Duenas Torres, 61, died Saturday in San Diego of cancer. Born in Agana, Guam, Mr. Torres was a resident of San Diego.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, and spent 30 years working for San Diego Gas & Electric. He enjoyed fishing, gambling and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of over 25 years, Helen; daughter, Tina; son, Victor, Jr.; sisters, Flo Brill, Oliva Frost, Barbara Baker, Mary Torres; brothers, David, Joe, Tony, John and Greg, Jr.; and five grandchildren.
Mass will be noon Monday, Jan. 19 at Guardian Angel Catholic Church, Santee. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 19 at El Camino Memorial, Sorrento Valley.
Jose Elayda
May 6, 1924 - Jan. 28, 2004
Jose Elayda, 79, passed away Wednesday at Kaiser Hospital in Vallejo following a long illness. A native of the Philippines, he was a resident of American Canyon the past 15 years.
Mr. Elayda served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years, retiring in 1966. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Holy Family Catholic Church and the Masinloc Association.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years Leticia T. Elayda of American Canyon: daughters, Annette (Fidel) Ednalino and Caroline (Daniel) Edillor; sons, Gilbert (Maribel), Joseph (Maricris), Philip (Geraldine), Richard and Steven; brothers, Anacleto and Alejandro; and 12 grandchildren.
Vigil service will be at 5 p.m. today at Twin Chapels Mortuary, Vallejo. Mass of Christian burial will be held 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Basil's Catholic Church, Vallejo. Fr. Pat Stephenson of Holy Family Parish will officiate both services. Burial will follow at All Souls Catholic Cemetery, Vallejo.
Visitation will be held noon to 9 p.m. today at Twin Chapels Mortuary, Vallejo.
