Carolyn Herrera

Carolyn D. Herrera, 48, died Sunday at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center-Vallejo after a brief illness.
She was born in New York City and lived in Vallejo for three years.
Mrs. Herrera worked as a psychologist for Centra Insurance Company for three years.
She enjoyed playing bridge and traveling.
Survivors include her husband, Isidor of Vallejo; stepdaughters, Elizabeth and Margo of San Francisco; stepsons, Alex, John and Isidor Jr. of San Francisco; sister, Lisa Hartell of New Jersey; brother, Albert Costales of New Mexico; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on 3/29/03 at Wiggins-Knipp Funeral Home, Vallejo. A funeral will follow at 3 p.m. also at the mortuary. Her ashes will be scattered at sea.

Monina Makalalad
March 3, 1935 -- July 27,2002
Monina Felin Makalalad, 67, died in San Mateo on July 27.
She was a native of the Philippines.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgilio Makalalad.
Mrs. Makalalad was survived by her daughters, Virina (Sid); Marissa (Brigido); Monina II (Romel); Maristella (Mel) and Marjorie (Salvador); her son, Virgilio Jr.; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held July 29 and July 30 from 5 to 9 p.m. with a vigil service at 7 p.m. July 30 at Crosby - N. Gray & Co., 2 Park Road, Burlingame (corner of Peninsula Ave. and El Camino Real). The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. July 31 at St. Catherine's Church, 1310 Bayswater at El Camino, Burlingame. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma.
Susan Profitt
Nov. 29, 1956 -- July 24, 2002
Susan Kathryn Profitt, 45, died July 24 at home after a long illness.
Mrs. Profitt, also known as "Susie," was a native of Vallejo.
She was a mother and housewife, who enjoyed spending time with her family and her animals.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Phillip and Ruth Vasquez.
Mrs. Profitt is survived by her husband, Clarence; daughters, Carla Niles of Las Vegas; and Stefanie of Vallejo; sons, David of Vallejo; Adam of American Canyon; sister, Linda Rice of Seattle; brothers, Jim, Tom and Paul Vasquez all of Vallejo; and one grandchild.
A small graveside service will be held July 30 at All Souls Catholic Cemetery
in Vallejo.

Richard Madigan
May 17, 1965 -- March 28, 2003
Richard Craig Madigan, 37, died Saturday in San Mateo after an accident.
He was born in Oakland and lived in Vallejo for 35 years.
Mr. Madigan was a striping or marking technician (highway striping) for three years.
He was a 49ers, Dodgers and Lakers fan and he enjoyed fishing, motorcycling and NASCAR.
Survivors include his companion, Melissa Alley of Vallejo; stepsisters, Chris Grissom of Vallejo; Sheryl Coburn of Fairfield and Sandy Kaluza of Chester; mother, Helen (Edward) Kaluza of Vallejo; father, Thomas of Vallejo; maternal grandfather, David Mares of Chiloquin, Ore.; sister and brother, Denise and Gary both of Vallejo and a host of other relatives.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. April 3 at Skyview Funeral Chapel, Vallejo. A Mass will be held at 11 a.m., April 4 at St. Basil's Catholic Church, Vallejo. Burial at Skyview Memorial Lawn.
Ronald Anderson
March 23, 1957 -- July 27, 2002
Ronald Steven Anderson, 45, died July 27 in Oakland after a short illness.
Born in Fairfield, he was a Vallejo resident 20 years and a resident of Vacaville 25 years.
Mr. Anderson worked as a carpenter for Daniel Selverie for 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert, also known as "Buddy."
Survivors include his fiancˇe, Courtney Tindall of Fairfield; daughters, Brittany Tindall of Fairfield; and Stephanie Anderson of Vacaville; sons, Steven and Richard both of Vacaville; his father, Robert and stepmother, Claudia both of Fairfield; mother, Millie Connelly of Vacaville; a step-father; sister, Ronna Anderson-DiGerlando of Vacaville; brothers, Richard Connelly and Chris DiGerlando, both of Vacaville; Sonny Short of Vallejo; Robby, Joe and Gary, all of Fairfield; three aunts; one uncle and a host of other relatives.
Memorial services will be held 5 p.m., August 2 at Skyview Funeral Chapel in Vallejo. Private Inurnment.
Rodrigo Mata
Oct. 23, 1910 -- Sept. 12, 2002
Rodrigo Olivete Mata, 91, died Sept. 12, at a local hospital after a long illness.
Born in the Philippines, he was a resident of Vallejo for four years.
Mr. Mata worked at the Marriott Hotel in Colorado for five years before retiring.
He was a member of St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church.
Mr. Mata loved gardening and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Dolores of Vallejo; daughters, Remy Abariso, Lydia (Gil) Quaresma, Baby Paz (Gil) Erfe; Snooky (Mike) Dimaun, all of the Philippines; Ester (Don) Briones of Colorado; Ophelia Suministrado; sons, Rodrigo Jr. of Wis.; Candido (Lizette) of Redwood City; Efren of Colo.; Gene (Julie) of Texas; Bobby (Euseth), Ronnie (Lovelyn), Jo Jo and Bobbet (Marites), all of the Philippines; 34 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is 1 to 9 p.m. Sept. 15 at Colonial Chapels in Vallejo. Vigil services will be held at 7 p.m. Sept. 15, at Colonial Chapels. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 11 a.m. Sept. 16, at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church. Burial will be in Colorado.
