David Stephenson

David Ira Stephenson, 51, died Sunday at home.
Mr. Stephenson was born in Vallejo and was a lifelong resident. He served in the Navy, and also worked for International Technology for four years.
Survivors include daughter, Debra (David) Tucker of Napa; sister, Stephanie (Frank) Metcalf of North Lake Tahoe; grandchildren, Jessica and David Tucker of Napa; two nephews, and a great-niece.
Funeral, with military honors, at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at San Joaquin National Cemetery, 32053 W. McCade Rd., Gustine. Members of the Navy will officiate. Disposition in San Joaquin National Cemetery. Arrangements by Bryan-Braker Funeral Home, Fairfield.
Linda Puryear
(March 10, 1940 -- Nov. 15, 2001)
Linda Puryear, 61, died Thursday at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center as a result of respiratory failure.
Born in Burlington, Iowa, she was an American Canyon resident and a homemaker for 40 years. She enjoyed artwork, showing Morgan Horses and spending time with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Puryear is survived by her husband, Leslie of American Canyon; daughter, Katherine Ann (Brooks) Woody of Bakersfield; son, Kenneth Brooks of Napa; stepson, Steven of Lonepine; sister, Lee West of Canoga Park; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Her ashes will be scattered.
Arrangements were made by the Neptune Society of Northern California, Fairfield.
Donations may be made to the American Lung Society.
Edith Goeth
Aug. 25, 1933 -- Sept. 8, 2002
Edith Goeth, 80, of Trinidad, died Sept. 8 at Cedar Lake Nursing Home in Malakoff after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
Mrs. Goeth was born in Camp Gaw, N.J., to Frank and Alice Remail.
Survivors include her husband, Billy of Trinidad; sons and daughters-in-law, John (Carol) Turner of San Ramon; David (Marcy) Turner of Sacramento; Frank (Carol) of Whidbey Island, Wash.; Paul of Baltimore; daughters and sons-in-law, Katherine (James) Diesch of Malakoff; Elizabeth (Jeffrey) Merrell of Elyria, Ohio; Laura (Joseph) Williams of Salem, Ore.; Allyson (Michael) Brand of Middleburg, Fla.; 19 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 10 a.m., Sept. 21 at Lake Athens Baptist Church in Athens, Texas. The Rev. John Green and the Rev. James Diesch will be officiating. Arrangements made by Carrol-Lehr Funeral Home, Athens, Texas.

Harvey Christman
March 22, 1919 -- Feb. 15, 2003
Harvey "Chris" A. Christman, 83, of American Canyon, died Feb. 15 at Kaiser Medical Center-Vallejo after a brief illness.
Born in Coteau, N.C., Mr. Christman was a supervisor for 31 years for Union Oil, retiring in 1976.
Mr. Christman served in the U.S. Navy during World War. He was a past patron of the Silver Star and a past master and secretary of Solano Lodge F&AM.
He enjoyed football and was a San Francisco 49ers fan.
Survivors include wife Dorothy Christman of American Canyon; children Gale Sibley of Vallejo and Robert Christman of Castro Valley; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
No services are scheduled, and inurnment will be private at Sunrise Cemetery. Wiggins-Knipp Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Lillie Tallman
(Nov. 3, 1913 - April 10, 2001)
Lillie Mae Tallman, 87, died Tuesday at Sunbridge Care Center following a long illness.
Mrs. Tallman was born in Elmore City, Okla., and was a Vallejo resident. Commonly known as "Lil," she was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Vallejo. Mrs. Tallman enjoyed sewing, baking, and gardening.
She was preceded in death by daughters, Mary Critton and Dorothy Noble.
Survivors include grandchildren, Sally Brooks and Linda Robinson of Vallejo, Vickie Noble of Shasta City, Teresa Scully of Cheyenne, Okla., Jordan Fagan of Marysville, and Dwayne Noble of Shasta City; 13 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Ashes will be scattered at sea. Arrangements by Wiggins-Knipp Funeral Home, Vallejo.
Donald Tidd
(Nov. 24, 1929 - June 30, 2001)
Donald M. Tidd, 71, died Saturday in Olympia, Wash.
Mr. Tidd was born in Longview, Wash. and was a long-time resident of Vallejo. He moved to Shelton, Wash. with his wife in 1991. He served in the Navy from 1948-67 and enjoyed the sea. Mr. Tidd's final wish was to be returned to the sea.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Mary; sons, Donald of Ft. Bragg, Robert of Vallejo, and George of Colorado; daughter, Helen Thomson of Shelton, Wash.; and eight grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends to celebrate his life will be held 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday at 60 S.E. Driftwood Lane, Shelton, Wash.
Florita Waterman
(Jan. 14. 1903 -- Nov. 15, 2001)
Florita Waterman, 98, died Thursday at home after a brief illness.
She was born in San Francisco and lived in Vallejo; she was an administrative assistant at Travis Air Force Base for 25 years, retiring in 1974. Mrs. Waterman enjoyed spending time with her family and reading.
Her husband, Alvin, preceded her in death in 1974.
Survivors include her sons, Wayne (Baylonida) of Vallejo; Rex (Jackie) of American Canyon; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Service will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m. at Wiggins-Knipp Funeral Home in Vallejo. Her ashes will be scattered at sea.
