INEZ MARIE DAVIE
Inez Marie Davie, 97, died Sunday, Aug. 14, 2005.
She was born Feb. 24, 1908.
Davie is survived by sisters Marjorie I. Campbell, of Montana, and Blanche N. Holmes, of Red Bluff; and stepsons Brett Davie, of Ferndale, and Brian Davie, of Elk Grove.
A graveside service was held on Monday, Aug. 22, 2005, at the Janesville Cemetery.
BOB LEE MCELRATH
Bob Lee McElrath, 75, died Monday, July, 18, 2005, in Boise, Idaho.
He was born Jan. 13, 1930, in Shawnee, Okla.
He is survived by his wife Virginia L. McElrath, of Weiser, Idaho; brother Dean McElrath, of Weiser; sons Dennis McElrath, of Susanville, and Robert McElrath, of Carson City, Nev.; daughter Terry Lee Givens, of Susanville; step-daughter, Billie Faacks, of Yerington, Nev.; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
McElrath was buried at Veterans Cemetery
in Boise, Idaho.
PAMELA JOYCE KOETTER
Pamela was born in Oakland, Calif., to Gilbert and Fern Palmer on June 19, 1950, and entered into her heavenly home Aug. 5, 2005 at home in Janesville, Calif., at the age of 55 years, one month and nineteen days.
She was and will always be deeply loved by her family and friends.
She added so much to our lives by her sweet smile, her happy ways and always encouraging us.
Her presence in our lives leaves us with such happy memories and we're all better people for having her with us for a while.
Pamela, accepted the Lord as her Savior at an early age, was baptized and always had deep faith and strong belief in God.
Pamela, was a beautiful young lady who truly enjoyed life.
Her love of God, family, friends, animals, flowers, sky and the ocean was an inspiration to us all.
She was loved and was a loving wife to Fred, son, Jason and wife Amy, of Reno, Nev., and sons Jeffrey and Justin.
Devoted daughter and best friend to mother Fern and stepfather Hubert, of Janesville, and father Gilbert, of Nevada City, Calif.
Sweetest of sisters to Glenda Truax, of Florence, Ore., Pratricia Jacobs, of Nevada City, Calif., and Debra Kisler, of Reno, Nev.
Special friends Lacy and Andrew, Noelle, Marcie.
Dear niece of Fordia Glanvile, of Oklahoma. Edith Palmer, of Hayward, Calif., Larene andPaul Simmons, of Branch, Mo., and many other aunts and uncles and cousins.
We will all so sadly miss her.
There will be no services by Pamela's request.
DAVID LEE HUNT
Former Susanville resident David Lee Hunt passed away at the age of 53 years in Seattle, Wash., on July 4, 2005.
David was born Aug. 10, 1951, in Sacramento, Calif. He lived in Susanville, Calif., from 1955 to 1969, and is a graduate of Lassen High School.
He has resided in Federal Way, Wash., for approximately the past 20 years.
David is survived by his mother Opal Haley and step-father Russell Haley, of Grants Pass, Ore.; one daughter Tanya English and son-in-law Daniel English, of Gig Harbor, Wash.; one sister Terry Jack and brother-in-law Harold Jack, of Standish, Calif.
David is preceded in death by his father Philip Hunt, of Susanville, Calif., who passed away Feb. 20, 2004.
Both are in our heavenly Father's beautiful home now.
David has four grandchildren Daniel, Candis, Katrina and Trent English, of Gig Harbor, Wash.; nephew Philip Jack and family, of Standish, Calif.; niece Darlene Chedwick and family, of Susanville, Calif.
Inurnment was held at the Janesville, Calif., cemetery with immediate family and dear friends in attendance on Aug. 2, 2005.
HOSANNA SANDRA O'BRIEN
Westwood resident Hosanna Sandra O'Brien, 59, peacefully passed from this life with family at her side, Tuesday morning, Aug. 9, 2005, following a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer, just eight days shy of her 60th birthday.
Born Aug. 17, 1945, in Minneapolis, Minn., to James and LaVerle O'Brien she moved to the west coast with her family at a young age.
Hosanna graduated from Enterprise High School in Redding, Calif., as a member of the class of 1963.
She later settled in San Francisco, Calif., for 12 years prior to moving to Westwood in 1976.
As testified by family and friends, Hosanna was a fabulous cook.
She competed in the Westwood Chili Cook Off for 12 years and was a winner multiple times.
She extended her talents to her professional career as a cook at the California Correctional Center in Susanville, where after eight years of dedicated service, health complications required her to retire early.
Hosanna enjoyed reading, swimming and walking throughout the beautiful Westwood area.
Hosanna is survived by her loving family, daughter Nichol and son-in-law Randy Meeks, of Flagstaff, Ariz., daughter Annie Rosenlund, of Vacaville, Calif.; mother and stepfather LaVerle and Bart Barthlomaey, her precious grandchildren Haleigh, Chardel, Jeremy and Carley along with a great aunt Charlotte Rentsch.
Following cremation at Fehrman Crematory a private family celebration of her life was held.
The family suggests any remembrances in Hosanna's memory be made to Sierra Hospice c/o Fehrman Mortuary and Crematory P.O. Box 803 Greenville, CA 95947.
MARCOS SILVA
Marcos Silva, 87, died Sunday, July 31, 2005. He was a long time resident of Susanville.
He is survived by daughter Cynthia (Jack) Elledge, of Susanville; son Mark (Margaret) Silva, Jr., of Suisun City; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mark was preceded in death by his wife Carmen.
A funeral was held on Saturday, Aug. 6, with interment at Reedley Cemetery
in Reedley, Calif.
MICHAEL WILLIAM STODDARD
Michael William Stoddard, 43, died Sunday, Aug. 7, 2005.
He was born July 13, 1962, in Skokie, Ill.
Stoddard is survived by parents Martin and Shirley Stoddard, of Savanna, Ill.; sons Roger Michael Stoddard, of Doyle, Daniel Lester Lee Jr., of Doyle; mother-in-law Carolyn Keeler, of Doyle; sister Dorothy Thorp, of Houston, Texas; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 20, at Walton's Chapel.
Donations can be made to a trust fund set up for Roger Stoddard.
