His Bible was always on a table beside his chair and he read from it. He has his daily devotion with breakfast.
He loved to read and he had read a great many books from the Susanville Library. He read almost a book a day.
On his 90th birthday his children gave him a hot air balloon ride.
He loved his flowers and yard. Up until recently he loved to work on old radios and tinker with just about anything. He even got an old computer going. He never learned the computer because he didn’t realize he would live this long. He was convinced at age 90 that it was OK to buy a new mattress and springs.
Services were held at the Calvary Baptist Church in Susanville on Friday, March 19. Interment followed at the Diamond Crest Cemetery.
