Preziosa Mary Silva
Preziosa Silva passed away
peacefully on Feb 2, 2010 at
the age of 83. She was born
on Sept. 16, 1926 to John and
Louisa Broggi in Patterson, CA.
She married the love of her life,
Joseph Silva on Aug 26, 1946.
He preceded her in death in 1998
after 52 years of marriage.
She was a resident of Livermore.
She leaves behind, her daughter,
Betty (Gary) Nelson, grandchildren,
Gina (Larry) Skeim,
Tracy (Greg) Mack, Nicole Nelson
and her great grandchildren,
Rebecca and David Gustafson,
Erik Skeim, and Kevin and
Alyssa Mack.
Mass of the Resurrection
was celebrated at St. Michael’s
Catholic Church with burial at
St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery
Livermore.
In lieu of flowers the family
respectfully requests memorial
donations in Preziosa’s name
be made to Hope Hospice 6377

Friedl C. “Trudy” Miller
Friedl C. Miller, also known as
Trudy, was born on April 3, 1923
and passed away on Wednesday
Feb. 3, 2010 in Walnut Creek, CA,
she was 86 years old.
The Livermore resident was a
member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in
Livermore. Trudy enjoyed traveling
with her husband Gordon
and they toured many countries
together. She also enjoyed square
dancing and playing bridge.
Trudy was preceded in death
by her husband, Gordon in 2005
and her grandson, Jeffrey Miller
in 2004. She is survived by her
son, Klaus Miller and his wife,
Louise of Yreka; daughter, Marilyn
Torres and her husband, Doug
of Fremont; grandchildren, Eric
and his wife Zondra, Jennifer and
her husband John, Christopher
and his wife Meghan; and great
grandchildren, Berkeley, Savannah,
Travis, Dakota, Jackson,
Rosaleia, Rio and Alton.
Services were held Feb. 16
at Our Savior Lutheran Church,
1385 S. Livermore Ave, Livermore.
In lieu of flowers donations
can be made to Our Savior
Lutheran Ministries. Inurnment
will follow service at Memory
Gardens Cemetery, 3873 East
Ave., Livermore, CA.

Patricia (Trish) Hurley Adams
Patricia (Trish) Hurley Adams,
born in Livermore, CA,
Sept. 30, 1961, the youngest child
of Charles A. Hurley and Eleanor
Vuksan, died unexpectedly on
February 5, 2010.
Upon graduating from Livermore
High School in 1979, Trish
wanted to live and study in the
Mt. Shasta area. She settled in Red Bluff,
CA, married Richard Adams and
raised two children, Sarah (24)
and Kyle (19).
She was predeceased by her
mother Eleanor in January 1977.
She is survived by her loving husband,
Richard, her children Sarah
and Kyle, her father, Chuck, stepmother
Ann Hurley, sister Jane,
brother John, son-in-law Jeffrey
Mattingly and soon-to-be born
granddaughter Ella.
Trish maintained contact with
a group of high school chums
through the years and always
anticipated summer holidays
with them at Lake Tahoe.
In her career, she enjoyed
working as a medical assistant
and x-ray technician at various
places in Red Bluff and Redding.
Trish also enjoyed cooking,
improvising recipes on the spot,
swimming, hiking, camping with
her family, reading, and visiting
Livermore to help with family
festivities.
Trish will be remembered
long and lovingly by her family
and her friends for her generous
spirit, her wide welcoming smile,
her sense of humor, her willingness
to help anyone, anything,
and her endless tales of life in
red Bluff.
At her best, Trish wore a million
dollar smile and stood tall
- tall as the sunflowers she grew
and loved.

Ramona Elizabeth (Regan) Andersen
Ramona Andersen passed
away on Feb. 7, 2010, from complications
due to Alzheimer’s disease.
Born Aug. 22, 1926 to John
and Asta Regan. A native and
lifelong resident of Livermore.
She was raised on the Regan
family ranch on Patterson Pass
Road. She was a graduate of St.
Michael’s School and Livermore
High School. Ramona was employed
for twenty years by Bank
of America and twenty years by
Sandia Laboratories.
She is survived by her husband
of 62 years, Keith Andersen
of Livermore, son Tom Andersen
of Sacramento, daughter Peggy
(Gary) Robinson of Roseville,
three grandchildren and two
great-grandchildren. She is also
survived by brother Joe Regan
of Wilsonville, OR; sisters Mary
Just of Livermore, Gladys Lydiksen
of Coeur d’ Alene, ID, Peggy
Cassingham of Scotts Valley, and
Dotty Freeman of Gilroy, and
twenty one nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her
brother John Regan.
A funeral service will be held
Friday, Feb. 12, 11:00 am at Callaghan
Mortuary, with graveside
service to follow at St. Michael’s
Cemetery in Livermore. In lieu
of flowers the family suggests
memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s
Association.

Mabel Dorothy Watson
Mabel Dorothy Watson, 85,
of Livermore CA passed away
Wednesday, February 3, 2010
at Kaiser Hospital in Walnut
Creek, CA.
She was born September 7,
1924 in Peggy's Cove, Nova
Scotia, Canada. She was the
daughter of the late Lloyd and
Nellie Garrison. Mabel moved to
the States in the very early 50's
shortly after marrying Rowland
(Rowlie) Watson who was born
in England and raised in British
Columbia, Canada.
Mabel was a longtime resident
of Livermore who could
often be seen walking through
the town that she loved. She
worked occasionally, but for the
majority of her life, she was a
homemaker and childcare provider.
Mabel was a member of St.
Bartholomew's Episcopal Church
for many years, where she also
volunteered at the Interfaith Food
Pantry. Her interests included
taking care of children, sewing
her own clothes and quilting.
She loved animals of all kinds
and had the distinguished gift of
being able to feed the squirrels
that frequented her home from
her hand!
More than anything else, Mabel
loved and cherished her family
and friends and is survived
by her sister Madelyn of Nova
Scotia, son Robin and daughter-
in-Law Judi of  Washington
State, daughter Margaret and
son-in-Law Jon of Livermore,
granddaughter Jill and her husband
Mike of Boise, Idaho along
with great grandsons Jacob and
Miles. She is also survived by
numerous nieces and nephews
living in Canada. We miss her
very much.

Raymond Michael Kotla
Raymond Michael Kotla died
February 27, 2010. He was born
October 7, 1942.
He was the beloved husband
of Dee Ann Kotla, devoted father
of Michele Wright, Kimberly
Iverson and Craig Kotla, devoted
stepfather to James Hooper and
Gary Hooper, and loving grandfather
to 7 grandchildren.
Ray retired after 33 years of
service with Pacific Bell and
went on to work for Lawrence
Livermore National Laboratory
for 10 years. Ray enjoyed motorcycles,
but most loved holidays
and family gatherings.
A service was held March 7,
in Pleasanton.
