Marjorie L. Frank
PARADISE - A funeral for Marjorie L. Frank, 77, of Paradise will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Chapel of the Pines Mortuary.
She died Saturday, Nov. 28, 1998, at her home.
She was born May 8, 1921, to Richard and Marina  Johnson in Rolla, N.D., where she received her education.
On Dec. 30, 1973, she married Joseph Frank.
Mrs. Frank was a homemaker. She served on the Board of Directors of Lake. She raised and boarded horses, rode in the Gold Nugget Day Paradise, and raised sheep for local 4H projects. She enjoyed making and selling crafts and Joe's Blown Glass at craft shows throughout California.
Survivors include her husband, Joe Frank of Paradise; four children, Jean Melson and Joanne Thompson both of Elk Grove, Jerry Strietzel of Sacramento, and Jerrilyn Holdridge of Paradise; two step-daughters, Nita Palomino of El Centro, and Corky Meyers of Yuma, Ariz.; three sisters, Althea LaFrance of North Dakota, Dorothy Herman and Beverly Plotz both of Illinois; and three brothers, Royce  Johnson of North Dakota, Harold  Johnson and Donnie Phelps both of Arizona.
Private burial will take place at the Paradise Cemetery.

Madison Pearson
PARADISE - No service is planned for infant Madison Elizabeth Pearson of Paradise.
She was stillborn Friday, Nov. 27, 1998, in a local hospital.
She is survived by her parents, Eric and Laine Pearson of Chico; paternal grandmother, Wanda Pearson of Diamond Springs; and maternal grandparents, Susan Arthur of Pleasant Hill and Louis Beltramo of Concord.
Arrangements are under the direction of Rose Chapel.

Esther Hudson
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Wyoming for Esther Hudson, 76, of Chico, who died Friday, Nov. 27, 1998, in Chico.
She was born Jan. 26, 1922, to Leroy and Esther Kershner in Wheatland, Wyo. She graduated from Gurnsey High School in Gurnsey, Wyo.
She worked at various occupations. She enjoyed reading, gardening, classical music, writing, woodworking and cabinet making. She was a talented artist.
Survivors include a son, Brent Hudson of Littlerock, Wash.; two daughters, Joan Ybanez of Corning, and Ann Damewood of Post, Ore.; three brothers, Kenneth Kershner of Stevensville, Mont., Leonard Kershner of Pinetop, Ariz., and Louis Kershner of Billings, Mont.; three sisters, Barbara Ryan of Yuma, Ariz., Mildred Nelson of Sheridan, Wyo., and Margaret Powell of Springfield, Mo.; and four grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association or the Janet Levy Center.
Brusie Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements

Mary Lewis
A Vigil for Mary Lewis, 94, of Chico will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the Chapel of the Brusie Funeral Home.
She died Monday, Nov. 30, 1998, at a local care home.
She was born Nov. 9, 1904, to Carlo and Felicia Eusebio in Italy.
In 1956, her husband, Ray Nelson died. In 1979, she married George Lewis. He died in 1997.
Mrs. Lewis moved to Chico when she was five. She worked for the PG&E in Chico. Later, she owned and operated Lone Pine Dairy with her first husband. When he died she sold the dairy. She also worked for J.B. Wilson at the Chico Credit Bureau. In 1979 she moved to Willows, and in June she moved back to Chico. She was a member of the Quota Club in Chico, the Monday Afternoon Club in Willows and the Willows Travel Club.
Survivors include five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Brusie Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Our Divine Savior Catholic Church.
Burial will take place at the Chico Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Enloe Hospice.
Brusie Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements.

Armando Scorsonelli
MAGALIA - A memorial service for Armando Scorsonelli, 74, of Magalia will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Sorensen's Affordable Mortuary.
He died Sunday, Nov. 29, 1998, in Chico.
He was born Oct. 5, 1924, to Concetto and Clemetina Scorsonelli in Philadelphia, Pa. He grew up in San Francisco and attended schools there.
In 1967, he married Helen Mae Dawes.
Scorsonelli was a truck driver. He was a member of Teamsters #70. In San Francisco, he owned S&W Moving Co. for 20 years and drove a truck for Teamsters for 20 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, cooking and raising a large family.
Survivors include two sons, Ronald Scorsonelli of  Whiteboro,  Texas, and Chet of Byron; four daughters, Darlene Cervantez of Hollister, Cheryl Rovid of Georgetown, Kathi Armstrong of Aurora,  Colo., and Kristi Armstrong of Reno, Nev.; and a sister, Clementina Scorsonelli of Union City.
Inurnment will be held.
Sorensen's Affordable Mortuary will be handling the arrangements.

Chase Neary
No service will be held for Chase Neary, 87, of Chico, who died Saturday, Nov. 28, 1998, in Chico.
He was born March 6, 1911, to Charles and Alma Neary in Sandpoint, Idaho. He attended Yuba City schools.
Neary owned and operated Chico Auto Parts and Neary Auto Parts for more than 50 years. He was a member of the Elks Lodge for more than 50 years, and the Chico Elks Lodge 423 since 1948. His superb gardening talents brought appreciation from friends and neighbors.
Survivors include his wife, Martha of Chico; a daughter, Linnea Swenson of Placerville; a sister, Edrea Herrick of Yuba City; a brother, Ralph Neary of New Hampshire; and two granddaughters. Burial will take place at the Colusa Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Chico Elks Lodge #423.
Brusie Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements.

Marianne Dalton
PARADISE - At her request, no service will be held for Marianne F. Dalton, 87, of Paradise.
She died Sunday, Nov. 29, 1998, in a ridge convalescent facility.
She was born Oct. 25, 1911, in San Francisco, to Francesco and Mamie Martorana. Mrs. Dalton was an inspector for 12 years for Fairchild Semiconductor. She moved to Paradise in 1981 from Rohnert Park.
Mrs. Dalton was a past worthy matron of the Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed painting, drawing and wood carving.
Survivors include a son, William MacFarland of Pleasanton; three daughters, Roberta Hunter of Paradise, Nancy Perkins of Anchorage, Alaska and Rosemary  Johnson of Hollister; a sister, Ann Brenner of Santa Rosa; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Inurnment will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of Rose Chapel.
