Martin Lorenzo Rañeses
November 10, 1966 - October 24, 2019

Resided in Salinas, California
Martin Lorenzo Rañeses, 52, a long time resident of Salinas, passed away unexpectedly yet peacefully on Thursday, October 24, 2019. He battled his health challenges with the love and care of his wife Vivian and, love and support of his family.
Martin was born in Legazpi City, Philippines on November 10, 1966. He was the first boy after five girls, to the delight of his father; his mother doted on him. He received Bachelor of Science degrees in Political Science at Divine Word College and Radiology Technology from Ago Medical and Educational Center (AMEC), both in Legazpi City. He worked as a Clinical Instructor at AMEC before joining his family in the U.S. In Salinas, he worked as a Certified Nursing Asst. at the Pacific Coast Rehab and the Salinas Rehab Center where he met his future wife. He married Vivian Cuchapin on December 5, 2001 and they made Salinas their home. Martin and Vivian were blessed with a son, Sean (who passed away in 2007) and two daughters, MaeMae and Maloe. Martin left his last job with Goodwill Industries to be a stay-at-home dad for his two young daughters who adored him.
Martin loved his wife and children. He also loved to cook for family and friends. His sotanghon, roasted pork belly, lengua estofada, and caldereta were some of his specialty dishes.
He is survived by his wife, Vivian Cuchapin Rañeses, daughters, Maryvean Loyse and Marloe-Vea, mother Delia Rañeses, brother Lemuel Lorenzo Rañeses (Arlene Tuason), sisters Emilie Rose (Henry Espinosa), Eadie May (Honesto Ragragio), LoriDel (Ramon Luzada), and Carmel Rose (Roel Rebancos) all of the CA Central Coast, Elaine Gay (Arthur Belen) and Maria Della Rañeses both of the Philippines, numerous nieces and nephews, and a grand nephew.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lorenzo Rañeses, Jr. and his son, Sean Martin.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. through 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at the Struve and Laporte Chapel, 41 W. San Luis Street, Salinas, CA 93901, followed by a Rosary at 7 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 31, 2019 at Madonna del Sasso Church, 320 E. Laurel Dr., Salinas, CA, 93906. Reception to be announced.

Hortencia A. Moreno
April 2, 1930 - October 20, 2019

Resided in Castroville, California
Hortencia A. Moreno, 89 of Castroville passed away Sunday, October 20, 2019. She was born April 2, 1930 in Los Angeles, CA.. Resident of Castroville for 55 years. Loving Mother & Grandmother & Greatgrandmother.
She is preceded in death by Mauro and Magdalena Anchondo parents, Mauro Anchondo Jr. brother, Irene Johnson sister, Diana M. Moreno daughter, Ray Zimmerman son-in-law.
She is survived by her Sister, Maryalice Giuriato, Son, David J. Moreno & Spouse Cynthia, Daughter, Elva Zimmerman. Son, Daniel J. Moreno Jr. Spouse Laurie, Granddaughter, Alyssa M. Moreno, Grandson, David J. Moreno Jr. Greatgranddaughter Peyton Ray Alvarez.
Funeral Mass will be 10:00a.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Our Lady of Refuge Church, 11140 Preston Street, Castroville CA. 95012.
Burial to follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery, 850 Abbott Street, Salinas, CA. 93901.

Pamela Sue Mitchell
September 27, 1956 - September 8, 2019
Born in Wadsworth, Ohio
Resided in Salinas, California
Pamela Sue Mitchell passed on to be with the Lord, Sunday 8th of September, 2019.
She was the daughter of Bob and Joann McCray born in Wadsworth, Ohio September 27, 1956.
Pam’s father Bob was transferred from Akron Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. in April of 1964 to the Salinas Plant. She was 7 years.
Her father died in 2010 of kidney failure and her sister Susan died of cancer on February 5, 2019.
She is survived by her Mom JoAnn and Brother, David and her 2 children Allison and Andrew.
She loved them so dearly. Sadly her marriage ended, but her life continued.
She kept her Faith and Hope in her Savior and Lord Jesus Christ to the end.
She moved back to Salinas last part of June and went to Heaven. We miss her but she is not suffering.
There is no crutches, wheelchairs, canes or walkers in Heaven.
She became a Christian it brought her through her many trials and tribulations.
A Celebration of her Life will be held October 26, 2019 on Saturday Morning at 11:00a.m. at Yosemite Lake Community Church, 43840 Patrick Avenue Coarsegold, CA. 93614.
All are welcome to come join with us. Maybe you can car-pool and ride together. It’s a 3 hour’s drive one way. For more information you can google map the church for good directions. Remember to donate your love to those around you.
In lieu of flowers please donate to the Monterey Heartland Hospice.

Antonio M. Campa
June 12, 1930 - October 19, 2019

Antonio M. Campa, born June 12, 1930 in Martinez, Texas of Pedro Campa and Marianna Mendoza Campa. Deceased on October 19, 2019 in King City, Ca.
Proceeded in death by loving his wife Isabel Pinon Campa of 65 years, Brothers Samuel Campa, Tello Campa, David Campa, Children Sandra Campa, Blanca Campa, Connie Ornales, Martin Pinon and Grandchildren Jacob Estrada, Vanessa Campa, Antonio Campa Jr.
Survived by his sisters Amalia Campa, Pauline Carmona, Olga Rodriguez, Rosie Ramos, Brother Joe Campa and numerous family members who reside in San Antonio, Texas. Antonio Campa was a strong loving father, together with his wife who raised 14 children: Tony and Angie Campa, Anna Casteneda, Rosie and Ronald Salgado, Sandra and Mike Raney, John and Sheri Campa, Lisa and Jeffery Lorono, Christina and Steve Salmon, James and Jodi Campa, Marianne Jimenez, Eric Jimenez, Shirley and Noel Estrada along with 34 grandchildren and an abundance of loving great grandchildren.
Antonio lived in Monterey county for 46 years, where he worked at NH3 Service Company, in the agriculture trade as a welding specialist. He then relocated and semi- retired Topac, AZ with his adoring wife where he was a proud member of the Laughlin Community Church. Tony had a passion for helping people, he proudly served and volunteered every weekend at Saint Vincent De Paul Thrift Store also extended help as a handyman to those in need in his community. He then returned to spend his final years along with Isabel in King City, CA and cared for her in her final years of her life Tony was a high spirited, active and fun loving man. He enjoyed watching sports, his favorite football team was the Dallas Cowboys, was avid wrestling fan (never missed a match). Antonio was strong till his end days he always enjoyed daily walks visiting Mom. Antonio had many friends and acquaintances that he made wherever he went, he will truly be missed by all.
Visitation will be held 3:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. Thursday, October 24, 2019 at Struve and Laporte Chapel, 41 W. San Luis Street, Salinas, CA. 93901.
Evening Service will be 7:00p.m. Thursday, October 24, 2019 at Struve and Laporte Chapel.
Funeral Service will be 1:00p.m. Friday, October 25, 2019 at Struve and Laporte Chapel.
Burial will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 18200 Damian Way, Salinas, CA. 93907.

Nadine M. Benedetti
April 6, 1934 - October 14, 2019
Born in Hollister, California
Resided in Salinas, California
Nadine Benedetti, a long time resident of Salinas, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on October 14, 2019, at the age of 85.
Nadine was born to Peter and Amelia Felice on April 6, 1934, in Hollister, California, in a house that was in the back of a grocery store owned by her father and uncles. As a small child, Nadine and her parents moved to Salinas, where she spent the rest of her life. She was held back in first grade as a result of her only being able to speak Italian. She graduated from Salinas High School in 1952 where she met the love of her life, Don. She never missed any 1952 Hartnell College football games which included the Junior Rose Bowl to watch Don play. They married in 1953 and went on to have 3 children.
Nadine worked for the family grocery business for many years, then later worked for Alpha Beta. In 1975, she passed her real estate exam. The day her real estate license arrived in the mail, she could not contain her excitement and ran up the driveway, license in hand. She had a passion for antiques and animals. Her greatest loves were her horse Skeeter and her family.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Don Benedetti, her son Ronald (Mark) Benedetti of Salinas, daughter Donna (Susan) Benedetti of Salinas, grandchildren Laurel (Jason) Black, Coby (Rick) Parker and Brent (John) Benedetti and six great-grandchildren Kade, Ava, and Mason Black, and Hayden, Rhett, and Kylee Parker.
She was proceeded in death by her son Michael Benedetti, her parents and her sister.
Nadine was the matriarch of our family, teaching us how to love and to be kind to others. She was a phenomenal role model. She will be deeply missed, never forgotten, and forever in our hearts.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 23, 2019 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a Rosary at 7:00PM to follow at Struve and Laporte Chapel, 41 W. San Luis Street, Salinas, CA. 93901.
Funeral Mass will be Thursday, October 24, 2019 at 9:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 22 Stone Street, Salinas, CA. 93901 with the burial following at Garden of Memories Cemetery, 850 Abbott Street, Salinas, CA. 93901. Reception will be held immediately following the burial.
In lieu of flowers, we ask donations be made in Nadine’s memory to Salinas VNA Hospice or to the Monterey County SPCA.
The family would like to thank Salinas VNA Hospice for their wonderful and compassionate care during her last days.

L. Dorothy "Dottie" Kirsnis
January 7, 1927 - October 13, 2019

Resided in Monterey, California
L. Dorothy “Dottie” Kirsnis, 92, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 13, 2019 in Carmel, CA. She was born in Philadelphia, PA on January 7, 1927. She married Charles A. Kirsnis on June 13, 1948 in Philadelphia, PA. He was the love of her life. They moved to Los Angeles, CA where she worked at Hughes Aircraft as a stenographer to put her husband through college and dental school. She enjoyed a lifetime of volunteer service. First in the Auxiliary to the Little Company of Mary Hospital and later, after a move to Fresno at the Saint Agnes Medical Center Volunteer Guild. She volunteered at Saint Agnes for many years and served as the president of the Guild.
Dottie was a great caregiver. She loved spoiling her grandchildren and her house was a place to have fun!
She is preceded in death by her husband Charles in 1995 and also by 4 siblings.
She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Dana and Rodney Heinrich of Monterey, CA and son, Mark Kirsnis of Lawndale, CA. She was a loving grandmother to Brittny (Sean) Ryan of Navan, Ireland, Matthew Heinrich of Healdsburg, CA, Taylor Heinrich of San Bruno, CA and Jason Kirsnis of Hawthorne, CA; and her great grandchildren, Henry and Beibhinn Ryan of Navan, Ireland.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, October 21, 2019 at 10:30am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 929 Harvard Ave, Clovis, CA. 93612. Interment following at Clovis Cemetery, 305 N. Villa Ave. Clovis, CA. 93612.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Hospice of the Central Coast, 2 Upper Ragsdale Drive, Monterey, CA. 93940 or Saint Agnes Medical Center Volunteer Guild, 1303 E. Herndon Ave. Fresno, CA. 93720.

Kenneth E. Hadley
February 12, 1947 - October 13, 2019
Born in Baltimore, Maryland
Resided in Salinas, Califorrnia
Ken was born in Baltimore, Maryland on February 12, 1947 and entered into eternal life on October 13, 2019 at the age of 72.
Ken is survived by his wife, Kirsten, brothers, Howard (Douglas), Barry, Thomas (Monica) and his sister, Pamela (George). Ken leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and former military and long-time friends.
Ken was a proud member of the United States Marines and served in the Vietnam War and received a Purple Heart.
Ken was a long-time automotive expert and service manager.
Ken was preceded in death by his father, James A. Hadley and Step-Father, Arthur Paule (Louise nee Kummerlowe), and brother, James A. Hadley Jr. (Janice).
Ken’s inurnment will be at the California Central Coast Veterans Cemetery at Fort Ord at a later date.
