Thomas George Haney
February 2, 1934 - August 19, 2015
Resided in Salinas, CA
Thomas George Haney, 81 of Salinas passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2015. He was born February 2, 1934 in Riverside California, raised in Lodi, California, resident of Monterey County since 1967. Resident of Elkhorn for 45 years.
A master cabinet maker by trade he fulfilled his wish of owning his own business and in 1973 and until 1999, when he retired, he operated Haney Cabinets in Prunedale.
He was actively involved in many community activities throughout the years in North County as a North County little league coach, assisted with the start-up of the Manzanita Park Youth Area; member of the Prunedale Lions Club and Member of the Year in 1991 and was the chair of the entertainment for the North County Strawberry Festival in 1991-1993.
He was survived by his wife of 50 years, Sandy Haney, children: Matthew (Maribel) Haney of Yuma, Az; Patrick (Julie) of Prunedale and Brian (Donna) of Los Osos, Ca., sister Patricia Loncarich of Dublin, CA and brother, Mike Haney of Manteca, CA, along with 8 grandchildren.
Services will be private followed by a gathering of family and friends at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to Kinship Center, 124 River Road, Salinas, CA. 93908. or the VNA-Hospice of the Central Coast, P.O. Box 2480, Monterey, CA 93942.

Craig Jon Wolf
November 28, 1945 - October 24, 2013
Resided in Santa Cruz, CA
Craig Jon Wolf, 67, of Santa Cruz, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2013. He was born November 28, 1945 in Minot, ND. He grew up in Lansford, ND where he graduated from high school.
Craig served in the U.S. Navy for 6 years, rising to the rank of Chief Petty Officer. He was stationed on a Nuclear Submarine on the East Coast where his expertise was recognized by his Commanding Officers. They recommended him for an instructional position after the completion of his tour on the submarine.
After leaving the military he attended San Francisco State University receiving his degree in Business Administration.
Upon completion of his degree he went on to receive his CPA license. He eventually opened his own firm, C.J. Wolf CPA, where he served his community for over 30 years before retiring.
Craig is survived by his sister, Nancy Lee Wolf of Granbury, TX, several cousins and an aunt in Minnesota.
At his request, no services will be held.
Memorial donations in his honor may be made to UC Davis MIND Institute, Health Science Advancement, 4900 Broadway St. 1150, Sacramento, CA 95820.

Lillian Amelia Larson
March 17, 1909 - February 9, 2009
Resided in Salinas, CA
Lillian Amelia Simoens Larson, 99 of Salinas passed away February 9, 2009. She was greatly beloved by her family.
She was born March 17, 1909, in Petaluma, CA to Julius Simoens (Belgian) and Annie Ellings Simoens (Norwegian). But she always decked out in green on her birthday. A graduate of Petaluma Schools she and Robert Wood Larson were married Oct. 23, 1928, a marriage that lasted 60 years until his death in 1988.
They moved to Salinas in 1938 when he assumed the position of manager of the Poultry Producers of Central California. They had two children Carol Elizabeth Larson Baumann (Charles) of Issaquah, WA and Robert Wood Larson, Jr. (Ivy, d. 2007) of Salinas and Big Pine.
Lillian had two sisters, Alice Simoens Kellogg of Palo Alto (d. 2008) and Jeanette Simoens Arfsten of Petaluma.
She is also survived by four grandchildren: Dr. Alan Robert Kabat of Washington, DC., Robert Wood Larson III (Krista) of La Mesa, CA, Ann Marie Kabat Fulton (Adam) of Bellingham, and Joan Ann Larson Wagner (Jeff) of Louisville, KY, four great-grandchildren: Riley and Cassidy Fulton of Bellingham and Abigail and Olivia Wagner of Louisville, KY, plus many nieces and nephews.
Lillian was an accomplished seamstress, making clothes for her children and grandchildren and their dolls. She also was a fine knitter, bowler and gardener. She and neighbors liked to ride their one-speed bikes from the Alisal to Prunedale and back. During WW II Lillian worked in the Guayule factory in the Alisal and later helped Bob in the R.W.Larson Bag Co.
Lillian and Bob enjoyed traveling around the United States and many happy years in the Alisal Lions Club. She was a member of The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd and was a resident of Villa Serra since 2001.
At her request no services are to be held. Interment will be in the Larson Family Plot in Bishop, CA.

William Rodney Keith Lambert
March 11, 1935 - August 7, 2015
Resided in Carmel Valley, CA
William R. Keith Lambert, 80, passed away peacefully at his home in Jamesburg, CA in Carmel Valley, on August 7, 2015. The first son of William Gordon Lambert and Marion Keith Lambert, Bill was born on March 11, 1935.
As a 4th generation Californian, Bill grew up in Jamesburg where his father, William G. Lambert, was a rancher, hunting guide, horseman and Deputy Sheriff. William G and Marion owned and operated the Lambert Ranch, and Marion operated the Jamesburg branch of The County Library and Jamesburg Post Office.
Bill attended grade school in the local one room school until high school, when he moved to Salinas to attend Salinas High. While in high school he showed horses and roped competitively, winning the Jr. State Championship in team roping in 1950.
Bill spent much of his young life as a hunting guide and cowboy. He married his first wife and high school sweetheart, Nancy Rose Del Conte, in 1955 and had six children. He attended college at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo where he earned dual Bachelor's degrees in Animal Husbandry and Farm Management from the newly formed Agricultural Science Department in 1959.
After college Bill began what would be a 21-year career with Bruce Church Inc. He started as Ranch Manager and advanced to Special Projects Manager. His duties included planting and plant propagation in Salinas, the Central Valley and Arizona. It was during this time as Special Projects Manager that he designed and built a precision lettuce seed planter. He also revamped the crop-thinning program during the height of the unionization movement of the 1970s.
After his departure from Bruce Church Inc., Bill fulfilled a dream to farm independently in the Salinas Valley, growing lettuce and mixed vegetables, until the downturn in the economy necessitated closing the business.
Bill married Kathleen Ciucci in 1982 and returned home to Jamesburg in Carmel Valley where he established Lambert Grading and Excavating, which he owned and operated until his death. He also worked as a heavy equipment operator for various companies such as Stew's Plumbing, and Peninsula Septic Tank Service (PSTS). He was employed at PSTS for approximately 15 years.
Bill met his soul mate and longtime partner, Linda G. Richards, in 1992. Together they built a rich and happy life in Jamesburg, sharing their passion for family, hunting, fishing, camping and various adventures.
Bill was preceded in death by Linda Richards, his parents, William G. and Marion K. Lambert, his sisters: Patricia Lael Louise Lambert and Roseanne (Ann) Marie Nason, and his darling granddaughter, Samantha Rose Regules.
Bill leaves behind his six children: William D.C. Lambert (Lisa), Lael Rose Smedley (Richard), J. Lloyd Lambert (Leslie), Fenwick K. Lambert (Patricia), Rose C. Lambert, Thomas R. Lambert, and his grandchildren: William Hall Lambert, Michael Jason Lambert, Patty Lambert, Sam Lambert, Curtis Smedley and Rose Smedley. His brother, Rodney D. Lambert, and numerous nieces and nephews, also survive Bill.
He will be greatly missed by all.
Memorial Services will be held 1pm Saturday October 3, 2015 at Valley Memorial Garden in Carmel Valley.

Bruce Brian Campbell
November 21, 1970 - August 22, 2015
Resided in Salinas, CA
Bruce Brian Campbell 44, went to be with his family and Jesus in heaven on Saturday, August 22, 2015.He was born November 21, 1970 in Salinas, CA.
Bruce attended Monterey Peninsula College, Evergreen Police Academy, and graduated from Rhema Bible College.
For the past 20 years he has managed the Hardy Cattle Ranch. He was in 4-H, and enjoyed cooking and photography.
He loved the outdoors and being closer to God, camping, reading, watching movies, and being with family and friends.
He was a very devoted father and Christian. He was cherished by all who knew him and will be sorely missed by all.
He is preceded in death by his father, Don Campbell; his paternal grandmother, Drue Griffin; his maternal grandmother, Marjorie Hardy, and his maternal grandfather, Sid "Snook" Hardy.
He leaves his mother, Sydney, his daughter, Briana, and lots of other loving family and friends.
Visitation will be held 1:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. Sunday, August 30, 2015 at Struve & Laporte Chapel, 41 W. San Luis Street, Salinas, CA. 93901.
Celebration of Life to be held at 7:00p.m. Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at 101 Auction Yard, 4400 Highway 101, Aromas, CA 95004.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cathedral of Faith, 2315 Canoas Garden Ave. San Jose, CA. 95125, Cowboy Church International, P.O. BOX 696, Chandler, Arizona, 85244-0696, and Salinas Valley Community Church, 368 San Juan Grade Road, Salinas, CA. 93906.

Charles Cato Vierra
July 7, 1932 - December 24, 2008
Resided in Moss Landing, CA
Charles C. Vierra, 76 of Moss Landing, CA passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at Salinas, Valley Memorial Hospital.
He was born on July 4, 1932 in Salinas, CA
He graduated from Santa Clara University in 1955 and served in the US Army from 1956 to 1958.
Mr V. was a retired teacher at Moss Landing Elementary School for 32 years.
He is survived by his wife Delia "Ginger" Vierra
Daughters: Marilyn, Suzanne, Danielle Vierra and Veronica (Anthony) Doctor
Sons: David (Cindi) and Paul (Sarah) Vierra
Sister: Virginia Vierra
9 grandchildren
Services: Private memorial service to be held at a later date.
Memorials to: The Moreland-Notre Dame School Memorial Fund, The Friends of the Andy Ausonio Library, or Agricultural History Project, Watsonville.

Jesse Donald Campbell
January 10, 2008 - January 10, 2008
Resided in Salinas, CA
Jesse Donald Campbell, 63, of Salinas passed away on Monday, January 7, 2008 at Community Hospital of Monterey Peninsula after a lengthy illness.
He was born on February 1, 1944 in Salinas.
Don attended Soledad Grammar School, Lincoln Grammar School, Spring School, Washington Middle School, graduated from Salinas High School class of 1961 and attended Hartnell College.
He was employed with Safeway Stores for more than 23 years.
After passing of his father-in-law in 1990, Don helped operate a cattle ranch with his wife and mother-in-law.
Don was a member of the Salinas Valley Community Church and Salinas Valley Cowboy Church and was involved with both children’s ministries.
Once a month, he attended 101 Cowboy Church with Pro Rodeo ministers.
Don was also on the Arena Committee for the California Rodeo for 35 years.
He served in the U.S. Army Reserves.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Sydney Campbell; son, Bruce Campbell; granddaughter, Briana Campbell; two sisters, Susan Robinson and Ann Hepfl; two nieces, Mindy Robinson and Amanda Hepfl; nephew, Ryan Hepfl all of Salinas.
Private family services and burial will be held.
