Fred eventually took over management of the office and became the owner of the business.

Widely known for his expertise, Fred was often called upon to serve as an expert witness in court cases and to appraise unique and especially challenging properties on the Big Sur coast and in Carmel Valley and Pebble Beach.
Fred was an avid mountain biker and took delight in taking his brothers for long rides in the Sierras and the hills of Fort Ord, often leaving them in the dust. He was involved in his community and volunteered with various organizations, including the Children’s Miracle Network, the Heart and Sole Race, and the Los Palmas Homeowners Association.
Fred cared deeply about family and had close, strong and always entertaining relationships with his brothers Tom, Dan, Stan and Jamie and his sister Kathy.
