Robert T. Caldwell
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2005 at Allen Mortuary in Turlock for Robert Thomas Caldwell, 74, of Keyes. He died Saturday, Dec. 25, 2004 at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto.
Inurment will be private.
Born April 29, 1930, Mr. Caldwell was a native of Weirton, W.Va., and had lived in Keyes since 1982. He previously lived in Delhi for 10 years. Mr. Caldwell worked in steel mills in Weirton, and as a ranch cook in Montana. He enjoyed cooking, watching western movies and gardening.
He leaves behind his wife, Margaret Caldwell of Keyes; three children, Brenda Mungle of Dotham, Ala., David Ammons of Waverly, Texas, and Danny Hayes of Keyes; three brothers, Billy Caldwell of Weirton, Earl Caldwell of Portland, Ore., and Harry Caldwell of South Carolina; four sisters, RuthAnn Jefferies of Weirton, Marie Johnson of Indianapolis, Dorothy Lahita of Fallansbee, W.Va., and Florence Popeck of West Virginia; and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by two brothers; two sisters; and a grandchild.

Regina Nelson
A Mass will be held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) at the Samaritan Village Chapel for Regina O'Brien Nelson, 89, of Hughson. She died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004 at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto.
Services will conclude at the chapel.
The McHenry Chapel of Franklin & Downs is in charge of arrangements.
Born Feb. 24, 1915, Mrs. Nelson was a native of Rockaway, N.Y., and lived in Hughson for a year. She was a homemaker and member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Hughson.
She leaves behind her son, Gordon Williams of La Grange; her stepdaughter, Kathryn Perrucci of New York; her brother, William O'Brien of Florida; and two grandchildren and one greatgrandchild.

Ida B. Beason
A funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel in Modesto for Ida Belle Holly Beason, 73, of Ceres. She died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004 at Memorial Medical Center.
Burial will be at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Born June 13, 1931, Mrs. Beason was a native of Dumas, Texas, and had lived in Ceres since 1973. She previously lived in Modesto. Mrs. Beason was a homemaker, and a member of the Moose Lodge, Modesto. She enjoyed playing bingo, fishing and camping.
She leaves behind three children, Samuel R. Beason of Cave Junction, Ore., Janet B. Donaldson of Ceres and Deborah Joslin of Bristow, Okla.; three brothers, Steve Holly of Modesto, Leon Holly of Escalon and Kenneth Holly of San Diego; and six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel H. Beason; daughter Teresa E. Beason; and one sister.
Eleanor M. Christensen
A graveside service was held at Tuesday afternoon at Lakewood Memorial Park for Eleanor Marie Christensen, 93, of Modesto. She died Monday, Dec. 20, 2004 at English Oaks Convalescent Hospital.
Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
Born Nov. 24, 1911, Ms. Christensen was a native of Wayne, Neb., and had lived in Modesto since 1964. She was a registered nurse for 40 years. Mrs. Christensen was a member of First Baptist Church in Ceres.
She leaves behind her caregivers, Leta and Richard Delezal of Ripon.

Samuel R. Ryan
The Colonial Chapel of Franklin & Downs was in charge of arrangements for Samuel R. Ryan, 76, of Ceres. He died of natural causes at his home on Friday, Dec. 17, 2004.
Born July 24, 1928, Mr. Ryan was a native of Crockett and lived in Ceres for 59 years. He was a truck driver and worked for Talbot Trucking for 13 years and Fairbanks Trucking for 20 years. Mr. Ryan was a member of the Turlock chapter of Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Teamster's union Local 386.
He leaves behind his sister, Eloise M. Ryan of Ceres. He was preceded in death by his brothers, John Joseph Ryan and Robert Ryan.

Louella Wheeler
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday) at Crown of Life Chapel in Joplin, Mo., for former Ceres resident Louella Wheeler, 76. The Joplin, Mo. resident died from a lengthy illness on Sunday, Jan. 2, 2005.
Burial will be at the Osborn cemetery in Joplin under the direction of the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home in Seneca, Mo.
Born May 21, 1928, Mrs. Wheeler was a native of Ninnechak, Okla., and lived in Joplin since 1994. She lived in Waterford as a teenager where she married
R.W. "Bud" Wheeler in 1946. Mrs. Wheeler lived in Modesto and Ceres before moving to Joplin. She was a member of Crown of Life Chapel and the Pentecostal Church of God since 1962.
Mrs. Wheeler leaves behind her husband, Bud Wheeler of Joplin; four children, Charlotte Busby of Ceres, Connie Nelson of Kingwood, Texas, and Dane Wheeler and Kenney Wheeler, both of Joplin; 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Ruby Lancaster; and her daughter, Sandra Ann Wheeler.
Lyndell "Lindy" Keirn
A memorial service was held Tuesday afternoon at Grace Community Christian Church for Lyndell "Lindy" Keirn, 62, of Ceres. He died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2004 at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto.
Lakewood Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Born Oct. 1, 1942, Mr. Keirn was a native of California and lived in Stanislaus County for 62 years. Mr. Keirn was a real estate broker for 30 years and he owned and operated Keirn Realtors in Ceres. He enjoyed fly fishing, hunting and travel.
Mr. Keirn leaves behind his wife, Kathy Keirn of Ceres; his daughter, Heather Anson of Ceres; his sister, Colleen Stobbe of Capitola; and three grandchildren.
Richard Hillman
Valley BMW finance manager
Richard Stephen Hillman, 58, died peacefully of natural causes on January 7, 2005.
He is survived by his father, David Hillman of Fremont; his brother, Donald (and Charlene) Hillman of Arizona; his daughters, Debi (and Steve) Hewlett of Manteca and Jennifer (and Frank) Ferolito of Salida; his sons, Justin and Jonathan Hillman of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and his grandchildren, Vanessa, Nicole, Joshua and Jessica Hewlett and Jeremy, Kyle, Kaleb and Josef Ferolito. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Marian Hillman, and his elder brother, Allan Hillman. Rick had a generous heart and was greatly beloved by his family.
He was deeply enjoying being back in California and spending many happy hours with his beloved grandchildren.
Richard was born April 28, 1946 in Oakland. The Hillman family moved to Fremont in 1955, where Rick attended Washington High School from 1959-64. He moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1978, returning to California in 2004, where he worked at Valley BMW in Modesto as the Finance Manager. Rick also enjoyed golf and was an avid golfer both here and in Louisiana. Rick's service will be at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward in the Mission Chapel on Tuesday, Jan. 11, at 2 p.m.
He will be interred at Chapel of the Chimes. Donations can be made to breast cancer research or the Hillman Memorial Scholarship Fund.
Edith M. Reavis
A funeral service is set for 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel for former Ceres resident Edith Mildred Parris Reavis, 87. The Sequim, Washington resident died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2005 at Olympic Care and Rehab Center in Sequim.
Burial will be at Ceres Memorial Park.
Born Dec. 7, 1917, Mrs. Reavis was a native of Shawnee, Okla., and lived in Ceres from 1954 to 1999. She moved to Sacramento and then to Sequim in 2004. She was a homemaker and member of the Church of God of the Evening Light. Mrs. Reavis enjoyed reading, crocheting, Christian music and being outdoors, especially in the spring time.
She leaves behind three children, Bob Reavis of Sequim, Wash., Don Reavis of Turlock and Marquetta Reavis of San Diego; three sisters, Irene Belyeau and Lena Mae Parris, both of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Lucille Lynch of Dallas, Texas; and eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband Robert Lee Reavis, daughter Marilyn Ewell, brother Russell Parris and sisters Lorena Magnino and Helen Stiffler.

Jerry Keys
The McHenry Chapel of Franklin & Downs was in charge of arrangements for Jerry E. Keys, 73, of Ceres. He died of natural causes on Sunday, Jan. 2, 2005 at his home.
Born Feb. 20, 1931, Mr. Keys was a native of Shamrock, Texas, and lived in Ceres for 61 years. He was a station agent for United Air Lines in Modesto for 31 years before his retirement in 1988. Mr. Keys served in the Navy.
He leaves behind his wife, Dolores Keys of Ceres; two children, Kathleen Ahlborn of Turlock and Mike Keys of Ceres; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Chesna Keys, and one brother and a sister.

Maria Argueta-Albarran
A Mass was held Thursday at St. Jude's Catholic Church in Ceres for Maria Argueta-Albarran, 73, of Modesto. She died Thursday, Dec. 30, 2004 at Doctors Medical Center.
Burial was at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Born Aug. 29, 1931, Mrs. Argueta-Albarran was a native of Santa Inez, Mexico, and lived in Modesto for 16 years. She was a homemaker.
She leaves behind her husband, Bernardino Martinez of Modesto; nine children, Raquel Martinez of Ceres, Matilda Martinez of Mexico, Javier Martinez of Stockton, and Thomas Martinez, Arturo Martinez, Ernesto Martinez, Angel Martinez, Armando Martinez and Serafin Martinez, all of Modesto; four brothers, Refugio Albarran, Adolfo Albarran, Francisco Albarran and Serafin Albarran, all of Mexico; her sister, Ester Argueta-Albarran of Mexico; and 20 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Steven G. Brown
A funeral was held Saturday at Allen Mortuary in Turlock for Steven Glen Brown, 45, of Ceres. He died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2005 at his home. Burial was at Ceres Memorial Park.
Allen Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
Born Aug. 23, 1959, Mr. Brown was a native of Patterson and a lifelong resident of Ceres. He worked at Bronco Winery in rural Ceres for five years and previously was a self-employed artist for 20 years. Mr. Brown was a graduate of Ceres High School, and enjoyed the Sacramento Kings. He served in the Navy from 1978-80.
He leaves behind his wife, Katherine Brown of Ceres; three children, Steven Brown, Justin Brown, and Megan Brown, all of Ceres; his parents, Charles and Joyce Brown of Ceres; his brother, Charles Brown Jr. of Keyes; two sisters, Sharon Rash of Sacramento and Dianna McGill of Hughson; and his grandfather, Grand Walker of Ceres.
