George D. Kelch, Jr.
At his request, there will no services for George D. Kelch, Jr., 81, of Vacaville. Inurnment will be private.
Mr. Kelch died Aug. 26 in his home after a short illness.
Born Nov. 7, 1918 in Chicago, Ill., he moved to the area 28 years ago. He was a former inspector at Mare Island and retired from the U.S. Air Force after serving 28 years and earning the Distinguished Flying Cross.
Mr. Kelch is survived by his wife, Iseko of Vacaville.
Arrangements were handled by Vaca Hills Chapel.
Gladys Marie Motta
A Catholic prayer service will be held for Gladys Marie Motta, 80, of Fairfield, at 10 a.m. Friday in the Nadeau Family Funeral Home.
Father William Feeser will preside. Interment will follow at 1 p.m. in Holy Sepulcher Cemetery
in Hayward.
Mrs. Motta died Aug. 28 in her daughter's home after a long illness.
Born Dec. 31, 1919 in Oklahoma, she also lived in Vacaville for 14 years and resided in Walnut Creek before moving to Fairfield. She worked for 17 years in Contra Costa County and 14 years for Mt. Diablo School District.
Mrs. Motta is survived by her husband of 50 years, Clifford; sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Doris of Susanville and Gregg and Janet of Vacaville; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Paul Chumbley of Fairfield; and grandchildren, Michael, Tina, Clint, Jim, Jeff, Daniel and Ruth.
Friends are invited for visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday with a rosary recital at 7 p.m. in the Nadeau Family Funeral Home.
Nicholas Francis Terraszas
Memorial services for Nicholas Francis Terraszas, 3, of Vacaville will be held at a later date in St. Mary's Catholic Church. The Rev. William Feeser will officiate. Inurnment will be private.
Nicholas died Aug. 23, 2000, at University of California, Davis, Medical Center in Sacramento from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born Oct. 11, 1996, in Davis, Nicholas lived in Vacaville all his life. He was a special boy who brought much joy to friends and family.
Nicholas is survived by his parents, Stephen and Betsy of Vacaville; paternal grandparents, Vic and Mary of Foster City; maternal grandmother, Marilyn Call of Wilsonville, Ore.; aunts, Molly Chun of Portland, Ore., Kathleen Karnes of Port Orchard, Ore., and Candy McNichols of St. Louis; uncle, Bob Call of Frederick, Md.; and great-aunts, Bobbie Stephenson of Austin, Texas, and Mattie Moore of Pennington, Texas. He also has numerous cousins and friends.

Theodore Burke
Funeral services for Theodore Burke, 65, of El Sobrante, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Solano Valley Mortuary.
The Rev. Battle will officiate. Burial with full military honors will be held in the San Joaquin National Veteran Cemetery.
Mr. Burke died Aug. 23, 2000, in El Sobrante.
Born Aug. 15, 1935, in Orange, N.J., he lived in El Sobrante for six years and was a Fairfield resident for 25-plus years. He worked as a counselor with the U.S. Census Bureau and was in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Burke is survived by his nephews, John Jr., William and Kevin Smith, all of Fairfield; nieces, Debra Pace, Vicki Cooks, Debbie Morgan, Kim Jone and Jeanette, all of Fairfield; numerous nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Anna Burke and brother-in-law, Frank Moses of Fairfield; sisters, Lorraine White and Dezelle Moses, both of N.J.; brothers, John of Fairfield and William of N.J.

Barry D. 'Beau' Gumb, Jr.
A memorial service will be held for Barry D. 'Beau' Gumb, Jr., 31, of San Francisco, 3:30 p.m. Thursday in Grace Cathedral in San Francisco. Interment will be private in Charleston, S.C.
Mr. Gumb died Aug. 28 in San Francisco, the victim of a motor vehicle hit and run accident.
Born Aug. 3, 1969, in Fort Lewis, Wash., he resided in San Francisco. He worked as a Human Resources Consultant the past two years employed with Inteliant Corporation in San Francisco.
Mr. Gumb is survived by his mother and stepfather, Mary Lois and Truman Kemp of Vacaville; father and stepmother, Barry D. and Beverly of Charleston, S.C.; and brother, Jack of Charleston, S.C.

Carina T. Mulligan
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Carina T. Mulligan, 78, of Fairfield, at 10 a.m. Thursday in Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
Father Michael Downey will preside. Inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill, N.J.
Mrs. Mulligan died Aug. 28 in Queen of the Valley Hospital in Napa.
Born Aug. 2, 1922, in Pennsylvania, she lived in Fairfield for 14 years. She was a loving mother and grandmother who loved her family. She also was a world traveler.
Mrs. Mulligan is survived by her sons and daughter-in-laws, James J. III and Johnnie of Tracy, John and Carolyn of Denver, Colo. and Peter Mulligan and Cathy Elmhurst of Illinois; brother, Edward Toti of Novi, Mich.; and 10 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband James Joseph Jr. in 1988.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. today in Bryan-Braker Funeral Homes.

Aaron Jason Hashemian
A service of remembrance for Aaron Jason Hashemian, 20, of Vacaville will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church. The Rev. William Feeser will officiate. Interment will be private.
Mr. Hashemian died Aug. 28, 2000, at Monticello Dam from injuries sustained in a fall.
Born Aug. 2, 1980, in Oakland, he lived in Vacaville for the past eight years. He had most recently been employed at Sports Cove and Costco. He attended Solano Community College and Diablo Valley College and was a 1998 graduated of Vacaville High School.
Mr. Hashemian is survived by his parents, Nancy and Kurt of Vacaville; sister, Emily of Vacaville; maternal grandparents, Victor and Jody Johnson of Concord; paternal grandmother, Fatemeh of Irvine; girlfriend, Sarah Sanok of Martinez; and best friends, Mikhael Papin and James Oswalt, both of Vacaville. He also has numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and many friends.
Memorial contributions can be made to the city of Vacaville's skate park project.

Louise M. Leggett
Graveside services for Louise M. Leggett, 86, of Winters, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Winters Cemetery. The Rev. Frank Anderson will preside.
Mrs. Leggett died Aug. 28, 2000, in Woodland Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
Born May 5, 1915, in Hampton, Ark., she lived in Winters for the past 43 years. She had been employed as a cook for more than 20 years. Many of those were spent in the Davis Community Hospital at its prior location. She was a member of the Senior Citizens Group in Winters.
Mrs. Leggett is survived by her husband, George of Winters; sister, Faye Scotton of Clearlake; nephew and wife, Jack and Linna Hyden of Elko, Nev.; grand-nephews, Gary Bond of Elko, Nev., and Jeff Moin of Reno, Nev.
Friends are invited to a visitation from 1 to 4 p.m. Monday in Nadeau Family Funeral Home.
Edward 'Winton' Doss
Funeral services for Edward 'Winton' Doss, 49, of Pittsburg will be 2 p.m. today in Vaca Hills Chapel.
Chaplain Keith Knauf will officiate. Inurnment will be private.
Mr. Doss died Aug. 29, 2000 in his home after a sudden illness.
Born July 24, 1951 in San Diego, he moved to Vacaville in 1956 and to Pittsburg five years ago. He was self-employed in the construction industry.
Mr. Doss is survived by his children, Tommy of Pittsburg, Rebecca of Woodland, Lea of Vacaville and Ray of Vacaville; brothers, Roger of Oklahoma and Tommy of Vacaville; sisters, Martha Lee of Idaho and Janet Tooley of Idaho; grandchildren, Serina and Alyx Perry; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Leatrice.
Visitation will be noon-2 p.m. today at Vaca Hills Chapel.
Alyce Dorothy Lum
Funeral services for Alyce Dorothy Lum, 66, of Vacaville, will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at The Sneider & Sullivan Funeral Home in San Mateo. Interment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Mrs. Lum died Aug. 29, 2000 in her home. She was a native of San Mateo, and moved to Vacaville in 1968.
Mrs. Lum was employed at Travis Air Force Base. 'Colonel' Alyce served as the wing commander's secretary until 1985 when ill health forced her retirement.
Mrs. Lum is survived by her devoted husband, Henry; sister, Margaret Chin; brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Jean, and Jack and Evelyn; sisters and brothers-in-law, Bette and Bill Wong, Rozalyn and Dan Lyang and Mary Ellen and Len Chew.

Arnold Donald Rodgers
Graveside services for Arnold Donald Rodgers, 47, of Vacaville will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery. Burial will follow. Visitation is private at Vaca Hills Chapel.
Mr. Rodgers died Aug. 31, 2000, at his home in Vacaville due to illness.
Born Oct. 14, 1952, in Oakland, he moved to the area 12 years ago. He worked as a supervisor for Simonton Windows for 11 years. He enjoyed water sports, loved his job and mostly his family.
Mr. Rodgers is survived by his wife, Wanda Ashley of Vacaville; stepsons, Henry Stuckey of Oregon, Larry Harris of Iowa City, Iowa, and Ozzie Harris of Vacaville; daughter, Arnia E. of Vacaville; stepdaughter, Asia Stuckey of Fairfield; brothers, Sonny of Modesto and Billy of Oakland; sisters, Juliette Harvey of San Leandro; and grandchildren, Shennel and Shayla White, both of Fairfield.

Juanita Marie Swenson
There will be no services held for Juanita Marie Swenson, 85, of Fairfield. Inurnment will be at Skyview Memorial Lawn in Vallejo.
Mrs. Swanson died Aug, 31, 2000, at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Vallejo.
Born Oct. 25, 1914, in Denver, she lived in Fairfield for the past 15 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Rebekkahs Lodge in Concord.
Mrs. Swanson is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Dan Battaglia of Fairfield; and sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Billie Jean of Cameron Park and Fred and Pat of Longmont, Colo.
She is also survived by two sisters in Colorado; a brother; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Frances Julie Tinucci
Private services will be held for Frances Julie Tinucci, 60, of Fairfield. Burial will be private.
Mrs. Tinucci died Aug. 29, 2000 at David Grant Medical Center. She lived in Fairfield most of her life.
Mrs. Tinucci was a homemaker who enjoyed her family, home and dog, Amber.
Mrs. Tinucci is survived by her husband, Richard W. of Fairfield; son Richard Maupin of Fairfield; sons- and daughters-in-law, Eric and Shelly Maupin of Hollister and Chris and Toni Maupin of Melbourne, Fla.; daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Lloyd Adkins of Florida; mother, Mary J. Morilla of Fairfield; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Marsha Morilla of Fairfield; sister and brother-in-law, Julie and Jim Mitchiner of Riverside; two nephews and a niece.
