She was born May 8, 1911 and survived by her children, Eva Cota, Blanche (Jose Luis) Felix, Dolores (Robert) Lopez of Tucson, Jenny Jones of Gardena, CA, and Roman D. Cota of Gaithersburg, MD. Also survived by 26 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; sisters, Guillermina Alvarez of Tucson, Rafaela Danbecker of Whittier, CA, Eva Smith of Los Angeles, CA, Alicia (Hector) Laos of Tucson; and brother, Alex (Edna) Castro of Las Vegas, NV. Her husband of 52 years, Juan L. Cota and a daughter, Ana Cecilia Contreras preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was a sister, Lupe Seliseo, brothers, Leon Castro and Guillermo Castro. POTTER, Edgar R. (Frosty), 100, died February 3, 1996. Edgar was known by his many friends and relatives as Frosty. He preferred to be call that and used it as his pen name. He was born in Elma, IA and the family moved to North Dakota in 1901. There the family lived on a cattle ranch located about 35 miles south of Mandan. Through the years he had lived in Diamond and Fargo, ND, Hamilton, MT, Fallbrook, CA and Tucson. His first wife, Anne died in 1977 while they lived in Hamilton, following a 59 year marriage. Eventually Frosty moved to Tucson where he met and married Eileen Wiles Harper. Frosty and Eileen continued to live in Tucson and he died of phenomena while at the Tucson Medical Center. Last June 12th Frosty celebrated his 100th birthday with a party at the retirement home where he and Eileen lived. Friends and relatives came from far and wide and a good time was had by all. Frosty was the author of the following three books, COWBOY SLANG, WHOA YUH-SONS-A-BITCHES, and COWBOYS TALK RIGHT PURTY. These three books refer mostly to the days Frosty spent on the ranch. COWBOY SLANG contains a great selection of cowboy phrases which are “guaranteed to tickle your funny bone’. Before retiring, Frosty worked 30 years with the Northwestern Bell Telephone Company in Fargo. Frosty is survived by wife, Eileen, Tucson; two sons, John D. of Tucson and Thomas L. of Apple Valley, CA; four grandchildren, Patrick of Hamilton, MT, Richard of Tucson, Ross of Corvallis, MT and Peggy Parrish of Auburn, GA; eight great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. Frosty was preceded in death by first wife, Anne Christine Potter on June 15, 1977 while living in Hamilton and son, Gordon who was killed during WWII in North Africa on June 22, 1942. WADE, Robert L., passed away at his home on Wednesday, February 7, 1996. He was born March 12, 1913. He is survived by his wife, C. Sally Wade; five children and five grandchildren. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the B.P.O.E. in Salina, KS and was the former Circulation Director at the Salina Journal, Salina, KS 1949 to 1972. WEBB, William. In 1973, William Webb and his family moved to Nogales, AZ. A place he had lived in once before as a child with his own parents. After 23 years of residence, Bill died in the company of his family on Monday, February 5, 1996 at the age of 54. Bill was married to Beatriz Azcue, his wife of 28 years. Together they have two daughters, Beatrice and Anna. Bill was a dedicated father, husband, brother and son. He was a thoughtful, loving and kind human being, who will be missed dearly by all whose lives he touched. May God Bless him and his family. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, February 9, 1996, at Sacred Heart Church. WHITE, Donald J., 83, of Tucson, died Sunday, February 4, 1996 at Holy Family Hospice Center of Parkinsons. Survived by his devoted wife, Muriel “Brownie’; daughters, Jean (Craig) Gifford of West Des Moines, IA and Joan (Skip) Schippers of Tucson; brothers, Clarence (Gladys), Tucson, Lawrence, Sparks, NV, Dick (Joanne), Phoenix, Bob (Marge), Tucson and Ron (Linda), Rochester, MN; sisters, Dorothy Peterson, Bovey, MN, Beatrice (Bob) Scharf, Tucson and Pearl Belland, Oakdale, MN; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Mr. White grew up in northern Minnesota, spent 25 years in Iowa as an operating engineer and 20 years in retirement in Tucson. No Services will be held.

PEREA, Clifford T., 69, of Tucson died February 4, 1996. He is survived by his wife, Rachel; son, Richard Escober, N.M.; daughters, Barbara Blankenship, Lourina Grijalva, Rosemary Grijalva, and Sylvia Perea all of Tucson; son, Louis Perea, Pittsburg; daughters, Betty Perea, Phoenix and Diedre Estrada, of Levelland TX; and son, Clifford David Perea, of Poway CA; 25 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren also survive. WOOD, Georgia Rae, born Georgia Rae Duckworth to Otto B. and Leta (Hickman) Duckworth, December 6, 1925, raised in Rifle, CO and recently of Tucson Estates, passed away February 2, 1996 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Tucson, AZ. She is survived by Bill Wood, her husband of 49 years; her son and daughter-in-law, Raymond and Ann Wood; and two granddaughters, Wendy and Stacy Wood, all of Gunnison, CO. An accomplished pianist, she was always active in Eastern Star and numerous churches and organizations. She was truly loved by family and friends and will be dearly missed by all.
