SPARR, Charles Villar, SMSGT, USAF, Ret., 76, of Tucson, died Tuesday, January 9, 1996. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou; children, Sandra Jo Ashby, Charles Patrick Sparr, Michael E. Sparr, Mary J. Cruze, Angela Lingenfelter, Thomas H. Eade, Roger S. Eade, John E. Eade, Charles R. Eade, Ted Eade; and 16 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. After retiring from the U.S. Air Force, Mr. Sparr worked for and retired from Cypress Pima Mine. He was a member of B.P.O.E. Lodge #2532, American Legion Post #36, and V.F.W. Post #549. STACEY, Edna May (Granny), born October 5, 1905, went home to be with our Lord January 9, 1996. Preceded in death by husband, Dan R. Stacey; daughter, Mary Ellen (Babe) Hurd; granddaughter, Cheryl Sumner; brothers, Joseph and Philip Patton. Survivors include a brother, Albert Patton; sister, Mary O’Quinn; son, Jackson H. Manor; daughter, Violet M. Rosen; grandchildren, Jacklyn M. Manor, Philip C. Manor, William M. Hurd, John P. Hurd, Billy Ray Hurd Jr., Susan E. Hurd, Bob G. Sumner, Lisa Kniceley, Kimberly Porter; 14 great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren. Numerous “adopted’ children and grand children. We may have not been blood, but granny sure loved us as though we were. She was the parent many of us no longer had. We are: Chuck, Sharon, Diane, Sandy, Norma, Jan, Jeanne and Tracy. Many, many more. Granny Edna was truly the definition of the word Love. She brought love to all she came in contact with and she will be missed very much for her funny stories, her wisdom and her gentleness. What a privilege to have known and loved her. Many sought and profited by her advice and council. We will treasure our memories and await the day when we will be reunited with her to praise our Lord. We gratefully acknowledge the gentle care and compassion showed by the staff and volunteers of St. Joseph’s Hospice Care. Thank you.
