MARIANI, Rosetta, 69, of Tucson, died 29 December, 1995. Born February 25, 1926 in Braccigliano, Italy. Rose became ill while visiting her daughter, Nancy, in Killeen, TX, and ultimately, died of congestive heart failure. Survived by three children, Linda and husband, Herb, of Kingston, WA, Guido of San Diego, CA, and Nancy and husband, Jeff if Killeen, TX; a grandson, Anthony; three granddaughters, Katrina, Halley, and Jennifer Rose; a brother, Ralph D’Ascoli of Tucson; several other relatives, nieces, and nephews and many long time friends from throughout the United States. For nearly 50 years Rose was a resident of Tucson where she enjoyed a distinguished business career within the banking, retail, and real estate industry throughout southern AZ. Of exceptional strength and resolve, Rose will be remembered as a courageous lady who, undaunted by life’s many challenges, remained a wonderful mother to us all. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. TUCSON MORTUARY, (North Chapel), 204 S. Stone Ave. A Rosary will be held 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, 3 January, at TUCSON MORTUARY, (South Chapel), 240 S. Stone Ave., followed by Mass at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, 4 January, at Elizabeth Anne Seton Church, on Shannon Rd. Interment will immediately follow in Holy Hope Cemetery.
REYNOLDS, Edda Belle, 68 years old, died Friday, December 29, 1995. She is survived by two sons, Thomas (Judy) and George (Karen) Gillespie of Tucson; daughter, Diana Beeson of CA; 13 grandchildren; one great grandchild. Edda enjoyed bowling all her life. SALZBRENNER, Gabriel Patrick, infant, returned to our Father in Heaven Thursday, December 28, 1995. VALENZUELA, Georgia R., 80, of Tucson, passed away December 30, 1995. BAKER, Robert B., 76, a resident of Tucson, died Friday, December 29, 1995. Survived by his wife of 51 years, Ruth; numerous nieces and nephew from the Phoenix and San Diego areas and in Michigan. BRANDT, Leonard, 59, of Tucson, died December 31, 1995. He was a retired mobile home park owner. Len is survived by his wife of 37 years, Gail; siblings, Reuben (Arlene) and Vera (Bill) Mohr, both of WI; five nephews and eight nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother. BUSACKER, Viola I., born April 27, 1913, beloved wife of Carl W. and further survived by son, Bill of Denver; and daughter, Barbara of San Pedro, CA; granddaughter, Lori Lawrence (Steve); and great grandchild, Beau Lawrence of Freemont, CA. Further survived by brother, Albert Schneider (Mary) of Sun Lakes, AZ; sisters-in-law, Lynn Reineck of Tucson and Betty Wallace (John) of Palmyra, WI; and brother-in-law, Norman Knuth of Tucson; nephews, Phil Karrer (Yvonne), Randy Karrer (Rhonda) of Tucson; and numerous other nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. CORRON, Evelyn Holaway, 69, of Cochise, Arizona passed away Saturday, December 23, 1995. She was born July 18, 1926 in Tucson, Arizona. She is survived by her husband, Douglas R. Corron; son, John L. Stevens III; daughter, Jocelyn S. Hadfield; grandchildren, John L. Stevens IV, Justin Hadfield, Jason Hadfield, Jessica Hadfield; brothers, Robert Holaway, Roy Holaway; sisters, Norma Rose, Betty Brown and Mary Shook. She graduated from Amphitheater High School and L. A. County Hospital School of Nursing. She served as Director of School Health Services for the Amphitheater District for almost 20 years. She retired to Cochise, Arizona in 1975, where she and her husband built from raw land a small organic farm. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 6 at 2:00 p.m. at ABBEY FUNERAL CHAPEL, 3435 N. 1st Ave.
DEVAULT, Robert Martin, 83, died Friday, December 29, 1995 after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his wife, Muriel Sutherland DeVault; his son, Dennis (Robyn) Robert DeVault of Bismarck, ND; daughter-in-law, Linda DeVault of Scottsdale; grandchildren, Brian Douglass DeVault of Flagstaff, AZ, Donald Martin DeVault of Mesa, AZ, Kimberly Jo DeVault of Tucson, and Aaron Vincent DeVault of Scottsdale, AZ. He was born in Kansas City, MO, August 17, 1912. Was preceded in death by his son, Bruce Martin DeVault and parents, Harry DeVault and Inez C. Wilson DeVault. He graduated from the University of Arizona where he was a charter member of Alpha Kappa Psi honorary fraternity, and a member of Delta Chi fraternity. He was in business in Craig, CO before serving in the US Army in WWII. After the war he worked with Eagle Picher Mining and was associated with several accounting firms. He was a life long member of the Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants and retired from Elmer Fox Westheimer and Co. The Memorial Service will be held January 4, at 3:00 p.m. at BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to the Boys and Girls Club or the American Diabetes Society.

HUGHES, Clair V. “Jim’, was born May 24, 1903 near Salem, MO and went to be with the Lord on December 31, 1995. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Zenia Mae; and a brother, Burton of Dallas, TX. His sister, Mildred preceded him in death. Jim and Zenia owned and operated the Arizona Sunshine School on the corner of Pima and Craycroft. The school taught children from nursery age through the 8th grade. Mr. Hughes served as Secretary of the Southern Arizona Independent Schools Association and was a past President of the Independent Schools Association of Arizona. He was also a member of the Executive Committee of Westerner International, an organization of clubs interested in the history of the American West. Jim was a past President of the Tucson Stamp Club and the Catalina Rotary, where he had 32 consecutive years of perfect attendance. He was also an active member of the B.P.O.E. C.V. Hughes was a long time member of the Tucson Reformed Church, serving as Elder and Clerk of the Consistory. Friends may call at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N.
