VALADEZ, Bacilio P., 77, of Tucson, passed away October 28, 1995. Survived by wife, Cora S. Valadez; daughters, Irene Valadez, Susan Nides and Anna Pain; sons, Rudy and David Valadez; sisters, Ruth Valadez, Jessie Obregon, Maria Ramirez and Mercy Flores; also survived by 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 2, 1995 from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. at TUCSON MORTUARY, North Chapel, 204 S. Stone Ave., with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered on Friday 10:30 a.m. at St. Augustine Cathedral. Interment will follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. Arrangements by TUCSON MORTUARY, INC.

WADUSKY, Paul Stephen, 86, of Tucson, died with dignity, surrounded by love, at Villa Maria Nursing Home, on Monday, October 30, 1995. He is survived by his son, Paul J. (Wylodene) Wadusky of San Manuel, AZ; brother, Frank; sisters, Irene and Margaret; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. Funeral Mass, 10:15 a.m. Thursday, November 2, 1995 at Villa Maria Nursing Home. Private entombment at East Lawn Palms Cemetery. Arrangements by EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd.

WEISS, Gertrude, 93, of Tucson, died October 30, 1995. Beloved mother of Leonard Weiss of Tucson and Rose Squire of Canton, MI. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Memorial Mass will be held at Wednesday, November 15 at 8:00 a.m. at St. Cyril’s Catholic Church in Tucson. Interment will be November 11 at Holy Cross Cemetery in Detroit, MI.

McINNIS, Venetha, 101, of Tucson, died October 31, 1995. Survived by daughter, Barbara McInnis of Tempe, AZ; and sister, Mary Keiffer of Worcester, MA. Mass will be offered Friday, 1:30 p.m. at Villa Maria Care Center Chapel, celebrated by Rev. Alex Mills. Interment Holy Hope Cemetery. Arrangements by EVERGREEN MORTUARY and CEMETERY.

MILLER, Dennis Floyd, 45, of Tucson, passed away October 13, 1995. Survivors include daughters, Kareema Sabah and Khadija Raqeebah Farrakhan; granddaughter, Nuria Kareema; mother, Mary E. Hall, all of Tucson; father, William Floyd Miller of OH; brothers, Chris and Daryl; sister, Risa Scott. Preceded in death by grandson, Elijah Malik and paternal father, Floyd Reubel. Friends may call at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. (at Speedway), from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 3, 1995 with Services being held at Noon. PERCY, Maria Luisa, died in Meredith, NH on October 26, 1995. She was born June 21, 1910 in Clifton, AZ. Graduated from the University of Arizona in 1931. Taught at Jokake School for Girls in Scottsdale, Potter School in Tucson, among other private schools, and U of A Spanish Department during WWII. In 1937 she married Faye W. Percy, Chief Engineer of Tucson Gas and Electric Power Co. (He died in 1965.) Mrs. Percy moved to New Hampshire in 1990 to live with her sister. Mrs. Percy’s accomplishments include, talented pianist, secretary of the Tucson Flute Club, much volunteer work, studied painting and sculpture, in particular she taught Spanish to medical personnel as needed to serve non-English speaking clients. Long time member of Catholic Daughters. Mass will be 10:30 a.m. on Monday, November 6, 1995 at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 1436 North Campbell Ave at Lee. Father Wagner officiating. She is survived by brothers, Raul and Julian Gabaldon of CA; brother, Robert Gabaldon of VA; daughter, Beatriz Kimball of NH. Arrangements by SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY. Burial at South Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to American Cancer Society, Arizona Chapter.

POORE, Shelly, 52, of Tucson, died October 31, 1995. She is survived by her husband, Don; children, Steve (Soni) McNamee of Phoenix; Shannon McNamee of Phoenix; granddaughter, Kaitlyn McNamee; step-son, Mike Poore of OH; parents, Wayne and Rosemary Hartrum of OH; sister, Sharon Manson of OH; brother, Greg Hartrum of OH. Shelly was the owner of Alvernon Certified Electrolysis. Memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 4 at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd. where friends may call one hour prior to service. Interment will follow in East Lawn Palms Cemetery. Memorial Donations may be sent to American Cancer Society.

SERKOWSKI, John, 83, of Tucson, died October 31, 1995. He was a retried carpenter, and a member of Carpenters Union, Local #408. Survived by wife, Helvi Serkowski of Tucson; daughter, Donna Marie Koepp of Bellavista, AR; sons, James L. Serkowski of Los Banos, CA, Lawrence F. Serkowski of Tucson; brother, Joseph Serkowski of Arvada, CO; sister, Rose Glogovsky of Waukegan, IL; five grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren. Graveside Services Friday 10:00 a.m. Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. EVERGREEN MORTUARY and CEMETERY, N. Oracle and W. Miracle Mile.

STARR, Sylvia, 88, of Tucson, died October 31, 1995. Survived by son, Howard (Sherry) Starr; daughter, Louise Starr; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. SULLIVAN, Muriel K., 84, of Tucson, passed away October 26, 1995. Survived by brother Robert Kodis of MA; aunt, Jane Jacobs; several nieces and nephews and many dear friends in Tucson. A Memorial Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 3, 1995 at ARIZONA MORTUARY CHAPEL, 7 E. University Blvd. Arrangements by ARIZONA MORTUARY.

FISCHER, Roberta M., 74 years old, died Friday, October 20, 1995 in Tucson. Survived by husband, Alvin E. Fischer Sr. of Tucson, three sons; Alvin Fischer Jr. of New Port Beach, CA, Wayne Fischer of Tucson and Greg Fisher of Alpin, WY; one daughter, Sherry Pannell of Tucson; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Memorial Services for Mrs. Fischer will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 28, 1995 at Wolfrey Peace Chapel, 5225 E. Speedway. Inurnment will be at All Faiths Memorial Park.

FRANCIS, Dr. Andrew L., 88, died November 1, 1995. Survived by his wife Bernice Francis of Tucson; daughter, Sarah (Abe) Villalobos of Tucson; daughter-in-law Jane Francis of CA; grandchildren, Brian Villalobos, Joe, Jimmy, and Jill Francis. Many friends also survive. Mass will be offered at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 4 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 5150 N. Valley View Rd. Internment to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. FULKERSON, Harold F., born July 11, 1920 in Lockney, TX, died Wednesday, November 1, 1995. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mae Fulkerson; son, Dick (Judy) Fulkerson of Tucson; daughter, Sharon (Stan) Winvick of Saratoga, CA; grandchildren, Richard Fulkerson, Kimberly (Mike) Kielinen, both of Tucson, Darci (Mike) Filice, Chris Winvick, both of Saratoga, CA; brothers, Robert Fulkerson of Tulia, TX, Gordon Fulkerson of Las Cruces, NM; sister Frances Stull of Tucumcari, NM. Mr. Fulkerson was a World War II U.S. Army Air Corps veteran. He was an employee and officer of Southern Pacific Railroad for 39 years, retiring in 1980. He is a member of First Methodist Church of Tucumcari, NM, a lifetime member of B.P.O. Elks Lodge #1172 in Tucumcari and was Exalted Ruler in 1952-53 and appointed District Deputy, North, in 1953. He is a member of Carrizozo Masonic Lodge #41, A.F. and A.M. in Carrizozo, NM, a member of the Tucson Scottish Rite and Sabbar Temple, A.A.O.N.M.S. of Tucson. Funeral Services 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 6, 1995 at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd. Entombment and Masonic Services will follow at the Mausoleum of Peace, East Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to St. Joseph’s Hospice, Carondelet Health Services, 350 N. Wilmot, Tucson, AZ 85711.

GILLELAND, Hugh E. Jr., 75, died Wednesday, November 1, 1995. Survived by wife, Shirley; four sons, Michael, Chris, Kerry and Jesse Gilleland; daughter, Suzan Judd; grandchildren, Justina, Hugh, Alyssa, Megan, and Kayla Gilleland. Preceded in death by son, Hugh E. Gilleland III. Gilly was a 20 year veteran of the U.S. Navy. Private family services were held. Inurnment will be in Hawaii at a later date. Arrangements by EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY, 5801 E. Grant Rd.

MARSHALL, Evelyn V., 84, of Tucson, died November 1, 1995. Mrs. Marshall was born August 20, 1911. She was Preceded in death by her husband, George and son Terry. Survivors include daughter, Shirley A. (Gene) Walston of Trinity, TX; sons, Mark A. (Marsha) Marshall of Tucson and Carmon M. (Louise) Marshall of Fairborn, OH. A daughter-in-law, Carol (Vince) Soto-Santi, 14 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; and sister, Betty (Bob) Jones of Toleda, OH also survive. There will be no Memorial Services. A family gathering will be held at Mark Marshall’s. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Arizona Lung Association. Arrangements by HEATHER MORTUARY.

MITCHELL, William Robert, 75, of Tucson. Passed away November 1, 1995. He is survived by sisters, Anna Dahl and her husband Morris, and Frances Evaskis. Mr. Mitchell taught at Tucson and Catalina High Schools for 32 years, he retired from T.U.S.D. in 1981. He was a member of the Retired Teachers Association. Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 4, 1995 at HUDGEL’S SWAN FUNERAL HOME, 22nd and Swan. In lieu of flowers family suggests donations be made to the Humane Society of Tucson.

ROOME, Edwin L. Jr., born February 22, 1908, passed into eternal rest with his beloved Lord on November 1, 1995. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edwin L. and Elizabeth Roome. Survivors include wife, Polly; daughter, Betty Erbig of NJ; brother, La Roy of NH; sisters, Margaret Wood of NJ and Gladys Pruner; and several nieces and nephews of Naples, FL; nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren of NJ; step-son, Jeffery B. Andersen of Petaluma, CA; step-grandson, Harvey M. Andersen III and family of Rio Rancho, NM. Eddie was a member of the AZ Preceptory De Molay Legion Honor; board member of the Exchange Clubs of Tucson Prevention of Child Abuse Center, Parent Aide Program. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Exchange Clubs of Tucson Prevention of Child Abuse Center, P.O. Box 43122, Tucson, AZ 85733-3122 or to the Zonta Club of Tucson, 3710 S. Park Avenue Suite 706, Tucson, AZ 85713, an international service organization of which his wife has been an active member for many years. Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, November 7th at 2:00 p.m. at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 750 W. Chapala, Tucson, AZ 85704.

WEBB, Elsie Gretchen, 84, of Tucson, passed away Wednesday, November 1, 1995. She was born August 9, 1911 in Lincoln County, NE. Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Walter A. Webb, and her brother, Hans Romisch. Survived by her loving son, James B. Webb of Tucson, brother, Dick (Ruth) Romisch of CO; sister, Ida Davidson of NM. She is survived by many loving nephews, nieces and friends. She was a longtime member of Grantway Assembly of God Church. She took great pride and joy in her quilting and crafts and touched the lives of all who knew her in a special way. Special thanks to all the loving, caring people at St. Mary’s Hospital and Hospice. Graveside Service 3:00 p.m. Friday, November 3, 1995 at EAST LAWN PALMS CEMETERY, 5801 E. Grant Rd., with Rev. John Grossi of Grantway Assembly of God officiating. Friends may call at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY, one hour prior to the service. Memorial donations may be made in her name to St. Mary’s Carondelet Hospice. Rest peacefully, sweet Mother.

BLAIR, Elizabeth Ruth, having a sure a knowledge of who she was, died of ovarian cancer with wisdom and courage on December 18, 1995 a week after the 70th anniversary of her birth. Her family whom her spirit fills are her sister, Edith; and her daughter, Pat; husband, Edward; son, Edward and his wife Sachi; daughter, Emily and her husband Peter; and grandson, Christopher. She and her few special friends were steadfast in their love and mutual support. She will be well remembered. Arrangements by BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.
