He is survived by his loving wife Joan of 45 years; sons, Robert, David, Scott, and Jon, all of Tucson; one daughter, Tracy Hunter of NC; 12 favorite grandchildren. FOSS, George C., 76 years old, died Thursday, October 26, 1995 in Tucson. Survived by his wife, Patricia M. LAUVER, Jack Lauver, 70, of Tucson died October 24, 1995. Husband of Nancy; father of Lynn Baumeister, Lorri Graham and Nancy Mathies; grandfather of Robyn B. Oson, Eric Baumeister, Adam Baumeister, Alex Graham, Alyssa and Ian Mathies. He is also survived by his brother, Robert D. Lauver; nieces and nephews. After graduating from the U of A, Jack worked for the Tucson newspapers and established Kalt and Lauver Advertising. He retired from the University of Arizona Scholarships and Loans Department. Jack served on the House of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity and the Tucson Press Club Board. He was a former president of the Tucson Ad Club and a member of The Downtown Rotary Club. TROUTMAN, Lloyd Bernard, 74, of Phoenix, died October 24, 1995. He is survived by his wife Carole; children, Randee Elaine Ensor, Melanie Fontaine, Gary Troutman; step children, Karen Hanshaw, Ronald Russey, Linda Crawford, Richard Bussey, Nancy Fuqua and Roger Bussey; 14 grandchildren also survive; sister, Helen Westfall. Reverend Troutman was born in Ashville, NC and was a Retired United Methodist Minter. He served for 27 years as an Air Force Chaplain and retired as a Colonel. Since retiring he served with several United Methodist Churches in the Tucson area. He retired December 25, 1994 as pastor of the San Pedro Valley United Methodist Church in Benson, AZ. He was well loved by many and respected as a colleague. Reverend Troutman was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Memorial services will be held on Friday, October 27, 1995 at St. Marks United Methodist Church, 1431 W. Magee with Reverend Anita Iceman and Reverend Jerry Haas officiating. FRIEDMAN, Anne, 86, died October 27, 1995. Predeceaced by husband, Herman and survived by daughter and son-in-law, Harriet and Eugene Smith; son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Robert and Patricia Friedman; sister, Belle Rubinoff; granddaughters, Dr. Diana Friedman, and Lara Friedman; grandsons, David, Daniel and Mark Smith; great grandson, Scott Michael Smith; and step-grandsons, Bobby and Jason Kniffin. Born in New York, she later lived in Toledo, OH, Philadelphia, Indianapolis, and since 1971, in Tucson where she has been an active member and officer of Hadassah and United Order of True Sisters. SPEAR, Robert B., of Tucson, 77, born July 8, 1918, Mansfield, OH. Died October 26, 1995. Survived by wife Dorothy Ball Spear. married October 1, 1942. Sons, Brink, Bert, Barry (Stephanie), Berney; grandchildren, Jamie Fry, Kelle Spear, Lisa Spear (Bert), Alicia Spear, Colin Spear, Mary Leah Spear (Barry). After graduating from Depauw University, in Greencastle, IN in 1941, Bob became a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army Air Corps and he earned his Flying Wings in 1942. During his career in the air Force, he flew in the Berlin Airlift and eventually became a command pilot. In 1949 Bob was assigned to the U.S. Naval Academy, in Annapolis, MD, as assistant tennis coach and assistant basketball coach. Because of this assignment he was selected as the first basketball coach at the newly formed Air Force Academy in 1955. He retired as a lieutenant Colonel in the Air Force and as the Cadet Basketball coach in 1971. He was regarded as one of the most innovative coaches of his time. His strategy of disciplined offense, coupled with pressing defense allowed his teams to compete with some of the most recognized college programs on the division one level. Following his retirement from coaching, Bob pursued a successful career in real estate and family financial and tax planning. He and Dottie moved to Green Valley, AZ, in 1980, where he devoted much time to playing golf. However, it was pastel paintings with an emphasis on Native American portraits, which gained him acclaim in his later years. Memorial Services will be held 11:00 a.m., October 31, 1995 at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd. Further services and burial will be Saturday, November 4, 1995 at the Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, CO.
