NAGY, Bartholomew S. “Bart’, 68, of Tucson, died suddenly November 11, 1995. Survived by wife, Lois Anne Nagy; and daughters, Yvonne M. Nagy of Tucson and Erika (Peter) Lert, of Newton, MA. Also survived by grandchildren, Anna and Richard Lert, Newton, MA; and mother, Maria Nagy of Budapest, Hungary; and special friend Jo Ann Overs. Dr. Nagy was a professor of Geosciences at The University of Arizona since 1968, and he was internationally known for his research in organic geochemistry. ANDERSON, Roy L., 78, formerly of Jamestown, NY, died at 10:40 p.m. at Carondolet St. Mary’s Hospice in Tucson, AZ. He was the husband of Jane Anderson (formerly Jane Lawson) to whom he was married July 25, 1942 in New Orleans, LA. They had been married 53 years. He was born August 31, 1917 in Jamestown, NY, the son of Clyde M. and Hilma (Peterson) Anderson. He was an active member of First Lutheran Church where he served for many years on the church board. He graduated from Jamestown High School in 1936 and attended Luther College in Wahoo, NE and Augustana College in Rock Island, IL. From 1941 to 1945 he served in the United States Navy (Seabees) as Chief Petty Officer. After World War II he returned to Jamestown where he began a long career in architectural drafting, construction, and steel fabricating. He owned and operated Southwestern Steel Corporation and prior to retirement was employed by L.H. Ludwig Construction Company. He was a member of the American Legion, Ira Lou Spring Post, of Jamestown. Upon retirement he moved with his wife to Arizona where he was an active member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Tucson. His great interest in building construction continued through his involvement in the careers of both his sons. He also pursued his lifelong passions for gardening and woodworking. He was a former member of the Vasa Lodge in Tucson. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Priscilla Crickard of Eggertsville, NY and Linda Simon of Tucson; two sons, Charles and Daniel Anderson, both of Tucson; six granddaughters, Darcy and Kara Crickard of Eggertsville, Elizabeth Simon, Sara, Alexis, and Danielle Anderson, al of Tucson; two brothers, Harold C. Anderson of Jamestown, NY and Dr. Russell E. Anderson of Prescott, AZ; nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends. A Memorial service will be held at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church on Saturday, November 11 at 2:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to Our Savior’s Lutheran Church Memorial Fund or to Carondolet St. Mary’s Hospice, c/o Foundation, 1802 W.
