Dorothy Juanita Doughman
1909-2000
Dorothy Juanita Doughman, of Tucson, died on Feb. 7, 2000, at the age of 90. Dorothy was born on May 30, 1909.
Dorothy was a resident of Arizona for 49 years. She previously lived in Michigan.
Dorothy is survived by one son, Bob C. Anderson of Lansing, Mich.; one daughter, Bonnie Gardner of Tucson; eight grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Graveside services were held on Feb. 11, 2000, at 2 p.m., at the Eastlawn Cemetery
in Tucson. Bishop Steven Smith, of Las Cruces, N.M., officiated the service. Casket bearers were Daniel Gardner, Benjamin Smith, Thomas Gardner, Micah Smith, Phillip Zimmerman, Jason Zimmerman and Lobsang Enriquez.
Arrangements were made by Richardson's Mortuary of Benson.
Nelson James Moore
Nelson James Moore of Benson died on Oct. 13, 1999, at the age of 78. Nelson was born on Aug. 15, 1921, in Carter, Okla.
Nelson was an Engineer for Manufacture Planes. Nelson resided in the Benson area for one and a half years. He previously lived in California. Nelson was also a Navy veteran and a member of the 32 Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, S.J. USA.
Nelson is survived by two sons, Bobby (Bonnie) Moore of Quartsite; and Brad Dugan of Long Beach, Calif.; one daughter, Billie (Jeff) Cartner; and grandchildren, Jeff Moore, Kathy Whitney and Carlos Gomez; great-grandchildren, Stephanie Brown, Amber Whitney, Dustin Gomez; and great-great grandchild Emily Robles.
No service was held. Deposition will be at Cochise Gardens of Rest in Benson at a later date.
Arrangements were made by Richardson's Mortuary of Benson.
June R. Harrington
1921-1999
June R. Harrington, of Benson, died on Nov. 27, 1999, at the age of 78. June was born on Oct. 2, 1921, to Arthur Paul and Doris Wagenknecht.
June was a homemaker and a secretary for OK Auto Repair (a business her husband ran) for 15 years. She was a member of the Community Presbyterian Church of Benson. June was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles for 25 years.
June is survived by two sons, Lyle (Lois) of Clyde, Tex.; and Jeff of Benson; daughter, Paige (Carl) Bandy of Phoenix; sister, Phyllis of Connecticut; and four grandchildren.
No services were held. June's chose for her remains to be cremated. In lieu of flowers, friends may make a contribution to the Community Presbyterian Church of Benson.
Arrangements were made by Richardson's Remembrance Center.
Charles "Charlie" R. Stiner
1938-1999
Charles "Charlie" R. Stiner, of Sierra Vista, died on Dec. 7, 1999 at the Sierra Vista Regional Health Center, at the age of 61. Charlie was born on March 19, 1938 in Williamsport, Penn., to Leo and Marie Stiner.
Charlie had served in the Army and Marine Corps during the 1950s. Charlie was a member of the American Legion Post 11, where he held numerous offices including Sergeant at Arms and Vice Commander of District Three. He was a member of the 40/8 Voiture #987 Cochise County, where he was a Post Chef De Gare and also served as a Grand Chemoit and Grand Du Arizona. He was a member of the Elks Club #2065 and the Eagles Lodge in Benson. Charlie was a big supporter of children and the youth of his community and veterans programs. He had been an area resident for the past 10 years. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Charlie was preceded in death by his wife, Faye in December of 1997.
Charlie is survived by two sons, Robert and John, both of Georgia; two daughters, Amanda of Ohio and Susie of Tucson; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorial services were held on Dec. 11, 1999 at 11 a.m. at the American Legion Bill Carmichael Post 52 in Sierra Vista.
Arrangements were made by Hatfield Funeral Home, Inc. in Sierra Vista.
Robert Jess Bluth
Robert Jess Bluth, infant son of Dennis and Denise Bluth, was buried Oct. 14, 1999 at a graveside service in St. David Cemetery.
Although he never drew a mortal breath, his imprint on ourlives is eternal. His birth and death occured Oct. 11 in a Tucson Hospital.
Robert is survived by parents, Dennis and Denise Noble Bluth of Safford. Brothers include Jaron, and Reagon; sister Laura, Tara, Anne, Amanda, Megan all of St. David.
Bisbee/San Pedro Funeral Homes were engaged to provide services.
Mildred M. McCracker Coryea
1918-2000
Mildred M. McCracker Coryea, of Mercer, Pa., died March 23, 2000, at Buchanan Commons Rest Home, following a brief illness, at the age of 82. She was born in Leesburg, Pa., on January 28, 1918, to Lewis Clyde McCracken and Rose Evelyn Wimer McCracken.
She was a retired cook, employed by Overlook Nursing Home in New Wilmington, Pa. She also taught Sunday School at Leesburg Presbyterian Church and belonged to the Loyal Order of Moose Auxiliary, Lodge #1637 in Mercer, Pa.
Mrs. Coryea was preceded in death by an infant son, her mother and father and her brother, Lewis Clyde McCracken, Jr. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Gerald "Jim" "Unk" Coryea, whom she married on Oct. 12, 1940.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Leon (Judy) Perrine, Mrs. John (Mary Jane) Bowers, both of Mercer, Pa. and Mrs. Clifford (Annamae) Kelly of Slippery Rock, Pa.; five sisters, Doris Tarsilia of Harrisville, Pa., Edna Kreutz of Grove City, Pa., Wanda Carroll of Mercer, Pa., Sarah Teeters of Willcox, and Virginia Fehrs of Virginia Beach, Va.; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were officiated by Rev. Thomas Gomola, Pastor of Leesburg Church. Burial was at Carpenter Cemetery
in Springfield Township, Pa.
Paul L. Acevedo
1945-2000
Paul L. Acevedo, of Willcox, died May 8, 2000, in Tucson, at the age of 54. He was born in Willcox, on June 29, 1945, to Raul and Ignacia (Leon) Acevedo.
He had been a life long resident of Willcox, working for the State of Arizona in the Highway Maintenance Dept. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, in Willcox, for which he sang in the choir.
He is survived by his sons, Estaban Acevedo of Willcox, Richard Acevedo of Tucson and Chris Valenzuela of Tucson; daughter, Briana Acevedo of Willcox; mother, Ignacia Acevedo of Willcox; and brothers, Raul and Richard Acevedo both of Tucson. Also surviving is one grandchild K.C. Valenzuela.
Paul was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Elvia Miranda.
Rosary was held on May 11, 2000, at 7 p.m., at Westlawn Chapel, with Funeral Mass at 10 a.m., on May 12, 2000, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial took place at Sunset Cemetery
in Willcox.

Harriet F. Theriault
1929-1999
Harriet F. Theriault died on Dec. 15, 1999 at Quiburi Mission in Benson, at the age of 70. Harriet was born on May 1, 1929 in Bridgeport, Conn.
Harriet was a retired postal clerk. Harriet was a ten year resident of the Benson, Tombstone and St. David area, she previously lived in Connecticut. Harriet was also a member of the St. David Latter-day Saints Church.
Harriet is survived by two brothers, David "Dick" Larsen of Glendale; and Carl Larson of Connecticut; one sister, Laura Sabo of Marana; and many dear friends.
Services were held on Dec. 18, 1999 at 10 a.m. at the St. David LDS Church. Bishop O. Chad Cottrell, of the San Pedro Ward, officiated the service. Burial was at the St. David Cemetery. Casket bearers were James Brown, Paul Kartchner, Duane Kartchner, Alma Kartchner, Alan Kartchner, and Grant Welker. Honorary bearers were Charles White, Richard Homer, Arlo Jepson, Jeffrey Kartchner, Robert Champney and Devon Kartchner.

Lillian Irene Paustian
1907-1999
Lillian Irene Paustian was born on Nov. 20, 1907 in Brown Deer, Wis. and on Dec. 12, 1999 at the age of 92, joined her husband, Walter, at their Savior's side. They were married June 12, 1932, and had lived, first in Onalaska, Wis., and then in West Salem, Wis., where he served as pastor of Christ Lutheran Congregation for 35 years. In September of 1975, they moved to Benson where they spent their retirement years together until Walter's death in April of 1990.
Lillian was one of five children born to Charles and Louise Gauger, all of whom preceded her in death. She is survived by a son, Pastor Richard Paustian and daughter-in-law, Valerie of Gilbert; a daughter, Jean Lanting of Benson; five grandchildren, Lea (Robert) Dunbar of Gilbert; Steven Paustian (now deceased); Heather (Robert) Randol of Chandler; Brent Paustian of Apache Junction and Paul Lanting of Benson. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren, Tonya and Noel Dunbar of Gilbert and Brandon and Cheyanne Randol of Chandler.
Funeral services were held on Dec. 16, 1999 at 2 p.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Benson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated for Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Benson. Christ Lutheran Church, West Salem, Wis., East Fork Lutheran High School, East Fork, Arizona, or Lutheran High School, Onalaska, Wis.

Michael David Fletcher
1950-1999
Michael David Fletcher, of Benson, died on Nov. 28, 1999 in Tucson, at the age of 49. Michael was born on Sept. 15, 1950 in Lorraine, Ohio.
Michael was a resident of the Benson area for one year. He previously lived in New York. Michael was a rooter in commercial construction.
Michael is survived by his wife, Terri Fletcher of Benson; two sons, Chris Fletcher of Benson; and Matt Master of Middleport, New York; and three grandchildren.
A service was held on Dec. 3, 1999 at 7 p.m. at Richardson's Mortuary in Benson. Tony Johndrow of Tucson officiated the service.
Arrangements were made by Richardson's Mortuary of Benson.
Robert K. Brahm
Robert K Brahm, formerly of Benson, died on Oct. 30, 1999, in Sierra Vista, at the age of 70. Robert was born in Canandaigua, N.Y., on April 24, 1929, to Mary B. and William B. Brahm, Sr.
Robert was a very active community service volunteer during his residence in Benson. He worked with the Benson Food Bank, gave his time as a driver to transport anyone needing a ride to medical appointments and was an active member of the San Pedro Valley Methodist Church.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and William Brahm Sr.
Robert is survived by his wife of 42 years, Elaine Brahm of Sierra Vista; his son, Kenneth R. Brahm and his special friend, Kim Stuck of Sierra Vista; his daughter, Lt. Vicki (Mark) Golden of Henderson, Nev.; and five grandchildren.
Services will be held on Friday, Nov. 5, 1999, at 2 p.m. at the San Pedro Valley Methodist Church in Benson. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Bob's name be made to the Benson Food Bank (contact Jan Olson-Brown, President, at (520) 586-3718 or to a charity of your choice.
James D. Herring
1918-1999
James D. Herring, of Benson, died on Sept. 30, 1999, at the age of 81. James was born on Sept. 15, 1918.
James was a self-employed machinist, welder. He resided in the Benson area for three years. James previously lived in California.
James is survived by three sons, J.D. Herring; Jimmy Herring; and Ted Herring all of Texas; two daughters, Joyce (Norm) Bradley of Benson; and Linda (Ken) Coudle of Tucson; one brother, Olen (Ruth) Herring of Willcox; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A service was held on Oct. 4, 1999 at 11 a.m. at Richardson's Mortuary Chapel in Benson. Pastor Lupe Diaz of Grace Chapel officiated the service. James will be laid to rest at the Frederick Cemetery
of Frederick, Okla. on Oct. 23, 1999 at 2 p.m.

Alicia S. Cota
1910-2000
Alicia S. Cota, of Benson, died May 11, 2000 in Benson, at the age of 89. She was born in the San Pedro Valley, Arizona Territory, on May 30, 1910.
Alicia was a homemaker who had been a lifelong resident of Benson. She belonged to the Catholic Church and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Alicia was preceded in death by her husband, Jose C. Cota in 1980.
Alicia is survived by her two sons, Joey and Vicente Cota, both of Benson; daughters, Jennie Garcia of Prescott and Sylvia Maldonado of Benson; 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Rosary was held on May 15, 2000, at Richardson's Mortuary Chapel in Benson. Funeral services were held on May 16, 2000 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Rev. Ray Ratzenberger officiating. Burial followed at Cochise Gardens of Rest in Benson. Pallbearers included Alicia Dalmolin, Monica Cota, Hector Garcia, Vicente Cota, Edward Ellsworth and Everett Dillon.
Services were under the direction of Richardson's Mortuary in Benson.
