(Dave) Davenport. Also survived by mother and father, Jane and Claude Davenport and nieces, Shannon and Alisha Wallace, Sarah Davenport. Also nephews Jeff Davenport and Jonathan Earl Bowman. Memorial Services will be held at HEATHER MORTUARY, 1040 N. Columbus Blvd. at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 29, 1995 with Pastor Pat Lazovich officiating. I love you, my brother.

DUDGEON, Dolores J., 76, of Tucson, has joined our Father in Heaven. She is survived by three sons, Bill, Don and Ralph; sister, Violet Bartels and several grandchildren. At Dolores’ request no memorial services will be held. Arrangements by HEATHER MORTUARY.

EBY, Sophia Joann, 77, of Tucson, died November 25, 1995. Survived by sons, Charles (Tammy), Robert (Mardee), and John (Marla) Eby; grandchildren, Eric, Joanna, John, Jacquie and Robert Eby, all of Tucson. Mrs. Eby was a member of the Volunteer Auxiliary for Posada Del Sol Nursing Home. Services Wednesday 11:00 a.m., EVERGREEN MORTUARY. Interment Evergreen Cemetery. EPSTEIN, Edythe, 82, of Tucson, passed away November 26, 1995. She is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Harry. Loving mother of: Lee Segerman of Tucson, Allen (Susan) Epstein of Studio City, CA. Cherished grandmother of: Allison Baker, Lizabeth (Paul) Wade, and Roxanne Baker. Great-Grandmother of: Morgan Edie Nordstedt and Joseph Harrison Wade. Fond sister of: Vivian (Sam) Newman of CA. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, November 28 at 3:00 p.m. at the Cong. GATES, Virginia Louise, 62, of Sunrise Ridge, Spruce Pine, died Wednesday, November 22, 1995 in a Spruce Springs hospital. A native of Elizabeth, NJ, she was a daughter of Vernon Gates and the late Helen Elizabeth Rich Gates who died in 1984. She was a graduate of Ursinus College, Collegeville, PA and a homemaker. Surviving in addition to her father is a sister, Winifred Perpetua. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 29, 1995 at Spruce Pine United Methodist Church with the Reverend Mary John Dye officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Mitchell County, 188C Hwy. 226S, Bakersville, NC 28705.

GILL, Eleanor Veronica McDonald, a longtime-school teacher in the Tucson area, passed away at home on November 26, 1995. She was born on April 28, 1918, in Duluth, MN. She was preceded in death by parents Capt. John H. and Rose T. O’Meara, and by husbands, Arthur L. McDonald and Robert S. Gill. She is survived by children, Kathleen Ragland (Tom) of Atlanta, GA, Marilyn Cooper (Carl) of Patagonia, AZ, John E. McDonald (Diane) of Oro Valley, AZ and Rik McDonald of San Diego, CA; seven grandchildren, Erin Anderson, Scott Anderson, Tom Stout, Dan Stout and Jeff Stout; two great grandchildren, Darren Young, Kelly Nierengarten. Mrs. Gill is an alumnus of the University of Minnesota, past president of Chi Omega Sorority, and taught in both parochial and public schools for over 28 years. She was assistant principal in charge of curriculum in a private school in Tucson. She was also active with the Disabled American Veterans and Womens’ Guild at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, 1800 S. Kolb. She was a loving, giving person who touched many lives, with a life-long love of teaching children. She was also a loving, caring mother. She will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her. A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 1995 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Rosary will be said at 7:00 p.m. at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 29th at 1:00 p.m. at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, 1800 S. Kolb Rd. Burial to follow at South Lawn Cemetery, 5401 S. Park Ave. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to TMC Hospice, 5301 E. Grant Rd. Tucson, AZ 85712.

GIVENS, Eva Mae, 71, of Tucson, died Sunday, November 26, 1995. Survived by husband, Roger Givens; daughters, Barbara Givens of Phoenix and Nancy Siebert of Dallas; sons, Gary Givens of Moran, WY and Morris Givens of Tucson; sister, Bernice Walworth of Tucson; and brother, Vernon Leroy of McGraw, NY; six grandchildren. Mrs. Givens was a member of the Catalina United Methodist Church for 39 years. Friends may call at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. HARDIN, Clara Dee, 71, of Tucson, died November 24, 1995. She is survived by a host of relatives and friends. Ipsen of Tucson, Kelly M. Phillips of Spring Valley, CA and Telsa C. Collins of Tucson; sister of Fr. William Flegge of Ogden, UT and Donna Reilly of Salt Lake City, UT. Also survived by eight loving grandchildren. A Memorial Vigil Service and Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 29th at BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway. A Memorial Mass will be offered at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 30 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 1375 S. Camino Seco. Her brother, Fr. William Flegge will officiate at both celebrations. Inurnment will follow the Mass at Our Lady of the Desert Mausoleum. Local Memorial Masses will be held in Ogden and Salt Lake City at a future date to be announced. LEAVENS, Michael Richard, 45, died November 16, 1995. Survived by his wife, Metta Leavens; and step-son, Sakon Sapthasen. LUCK, Joe V., 66, of Tucson passed away November 24, 1995. Joe was born June 27, 1929 in Fowler IN, he was retired from Alcoa in Lafayette, IN. Survived by, wife, Carol; sons, Kevin and Brian of Lafayette, IN; daughter Jill of Glendale, AZ; also four grandchildren in Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to Carondelet Hospice or The American Cancer Society. No local services are planned.

MILLER, Martha Elizabeth McCubbins, age 79, of Tucson, AZ and formerly of New Market passed away Thursday, November 23, 1995 at University Hospital, Tucson, AZ. A former member of Wootens Chapel United Methodist Church. Survived by son, William R. (Bill) Hodges of Strawberry Plains; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren; sister, Leona Brown, Dunlap, TN. Graveside Services 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 29, 1995 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. Rev. Dennis Maxey officiating. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home 10:00 a.m. Wednesday to proceed to Jefferson Memorial Gardens for services. Farrar Funeral Home, Jefferson City.

ORDUNO, Elena B., 93, of Tucson, passed away November 24, 1995. Survived by sisters, Gertrude Telles, Dolores Ybarra, Siria Lopez; brother, Adrian Bustamonte. PADALINO, Joseph, born October 17, 1915, died at the age of 80, November 25, 1995. Mr. Padalino formerly of Passaic, NJ and a 35 years resident of Tucson, AZ, and Green Valley for six years, is survived by his wife, Laura; five children, sons, John, Dingmans Ferry, PA, Jerry, Ashland, MA, Terry, Lexington, SC; daughters, Gloria Oliver, Cherryhill, NJ and Laura Hirt, Tucson, AZ; brother, Mauro Padalino, San Diego, CA; sister, Mary Sciliano, Clifton, NJ. There are 11 grandchildren; four great grandchildren, nephews and nieces. Mr. Padalino served in the U.S. Army in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He was a volunteer at the Smithsonian Institute Whipple Observatory for the past 6 years. Memorial Service will be November 30, 1995 at 3:00 p.m. Green Valley Mortuary Chapel, and graveside services will be held in New Jersey at a date to be determined by the family.

THOMAS, Richard W., 53 years old, died Wednesday, November 22, 1995. Survived by wife, Amelia (Molly); daughter, Barbara Jane (Patrick Dominic) Ortiz; daughter, Cheryl Christina (Michael) Grabo; grandchildren, Thomas P. and Leah Jane Ortiz with baby Ortiz (expected). Mr. Thomas retired from the Army as Sargent First Class. He was active in Civil War Re-enactment of Ohio. The family suggest contributions to the Humane Society. WININGER, Robert W., Lt. Col. USAF Ret., passed away November 25, 1995 in Tucson, AZ. He was born in Loogootee, IN in 1917 and is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Pat Wininger, his daughter Gail Liston and grandson Jeremy, both of Jefferson, MA., and his sisters, Doris Matlock of Indianapolis, IN and Ruth Heavenridge of Waverly, OH. After spending 26 years in the Air Force, “Red’ taught Political Science for 14 years at South Western State University in Weatherford, OK before retiring in Tucson. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 1995 at 10:00 a.m. at the Davis Monthan Air Force Base Chapel One. In lieu of flowers, a remembrance may be given to the South Western State University Library.

WOLFF, Helen Frances, 69, died November 25, 1995.
