An epitaph for the Mommy and Me:
To these, whom death again did wed,
This graves the second marriage bed.
For though the hand of fate could force
Twix body and soul a divorce,
It could not sunder husband and wife,
Because they both lived but one life.
Peace, good reader, do not weep.
Peace, the lovers are but asleep.
By Richard Crashaw, changed a bit by Edward F. Young, Mildred’s husband, who preceded her in death in March of 1991.

Her life was spent dedicated to her family and friends. She was never one to give advice; however, she always had an ear for your problems and triumphs. In years past, she volunteered her time at Casa de Los Ninos and Tucson Medical Hospital. Mother was very interested in politics as her uncle was Sam Rayburn, Democrat Speaker of the House. She was very active in Republican Barry Goldwaters Campaign. Her interest in American politics continued throughout her life. She was an excellent golfer and a baseball fan who never gave up on the Chicago Cubs.
