Survived by loving sister, Mildred Kleine of Prairie Village, KS; sons, Ronald (Carolyn) Ancell, Jon (Doris) Ancell; daughters, Marilyn (Joe) Sheehey, Kathy (Bob) Thies, all of Tucson; also survived by 10 grandchildren, one great grandson, and numerous nieces and nephews. Marietta was a truly loving and giving woman whose qualities inspire us all. Lyle E. Lingel LCol USAF Ret. passed away 5 December 1995. He was born 16 January 1924 in Ontario, OR, graduated from Fruitland Idaho High School in 1942 and moved to Tucson, AZ in 1974 when he retired from the Air Force after 32 years of service. Lyle married his high school sweetheart `Mink’ (Lucie Cobb) in 1942. Last August 8th they celebrated their 53rd Anniversary. Col. Lingel was a B-17 pilot stationed in England during WWII and flew B-29 missions in Korea. He was stationed at DMAFB, Arizona from 1956 through 1964 where he was Director of Operations and flew the new B-47s with the 303rd Bomb Wing. Lyle was an avid golfer after retirement, playing 6 days a week. He enjoyed being with his family, spending many hours boating and camping at Roosevelt Lake. In recent years, Lyle became an artist, specializing in oil paintings with a Southwestern motif. His artwork is enjoyed throughout the Tucson area. He is survived by his beloved wife, Mink; sons, Rick and Terry, their wives, Joyce and Cindy; grandsons, Erik and Brent, all of Tucson; daughter, Sharla; grandchildren, Dawn and Joe of Phoenix. He was dearly loved and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

O’NEILL, Kathleen Lorene Glidden, had her prayer for eternal rest granted on Tuesday, December 12, 1995. She was born October 27, 1911 in Three Rivers, Michigan. She moved to Tucson from Indiana in 1948. She was very active in her churches, Trinity and St. Andrews Presbyterian and at Campana del Rio Retirement Community. Her greatest love was her family for whom, among other things, she made as many as 39 different kinds of Christmas cookies every year for the past 65 years. She was very lovingly cared for during her last two weeks by Community Hospice of Tucson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Faye and Earl Glidden; and her husband, J.D. O’Neill. She is survived by her children, Judy (Norm) Lindblad, J. Dan (Dee) O’Neill, and Kathleen Faye O’Neill; grandchildren, Mark, and David Lindblad, Kathi L. (Scott) Spiller, Erin, and Jennifer O’Neill, and Michael Hummer; and great-grandchild, Tyler Lindblad.

James Neal Parker Memorial Services are scheduled for Saturday, December 16, 1995 at BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL. Mr. Parker died of Lung Cancer at home last Saturday, December 9, 1995 at the age of 67. He was born in Cincinnati May 9, 1928 to a family of eight children. He left home to serve as an airplane mechanic at the end of WWII. Upon returning to the states he graduated from the Cincinnati College of Pharmacy in 1953. He moved to Tucson in 1957 and served as a pharmacists for St. Mary’s Hospital. It was his childhood dream to own his own drugstore, which became a reality in 1968. He operated Swan Drug Store with his late wife, Pat Parker from 1968 until it closed in 1982. He was a founding member of United Drug Stores, a coalition of independently owned drug stores dedicated to customer service. He is well remembered for his compassion and consideration by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Pat Parker and his sister, Mabel Schmid. He is survived by his six brothers, Ray, Alvin, Martin, Gene, Don and Melvin; his five children, James L. (Barbara) Hartley, Lee Anne (Tom Nevers) Hartley, James N. (Laura Cannova) Parker II of Denver, Brenda Esquibel (Jeanette Miller) and Martha (Jay Quiros); his five grandchildren, Michelle, Misty, Shawnette, Gus and Cory. REES, Lois Miller, 86, of Tucson, died peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her family December 13, 1995. Mrs. Rees was born in Phoenix, May 29, 1909. She is survived by her son, Wally (Butch) Rees, (Norma) of PA; son-in-law, Charles Morehead, II of Tucson; grandchildren, Luke Rees, Charles P. Morehead, III, Scot Morehead, Russell Morehead, Lori Robbins, and Eddie Morehead; niece, Betty Bouris and other nieces and nephews and foster daughter, Nancy Young; eight great grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred W. Rees and daughter Sarah Morehead. Memorial Services were held December 14, 1995 at Hope Church United Methodist. BATISTE, Mary Thomasine, 77, resident of Tucson for 56 years, died December 10, 1995. She is survived by her children, Ronald Batiste, Pasadena, CA, Ernest R. Batiste, III, Bellevue, WA, Marc C. Batiste, Phoenix, Karen L. Batiste-Krasne, Vancouver, WA and Candace M. Selwyn, Summit, NJ. Also surviving are a brother, Richard A. Hightower, Jr., Rialto, CA; and sister, Elizabeth G. KELLMAN, Herman, 74, died December 12, 1995. Born in Chicago, IL to a family of three boys and three girls. He was active in the family glass business originated by his grandfather in the late 1800's. During WWII Mr. Kellman served in the U.S. Army in the South Pacific and received a Purple Heart. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. He attended Boston University, was a Navigator (1st Lt.) in the 8th Air Force during WWII in the 447th Bomb Squadron; a member of Temple Emanu-El in Worcester, MA and Tucson, board member of B’Nai B’rith, Tucson; an active volunteer at the Pima Air Museum, Tucson Medical Center Emergency Room. LUNDBERG, Eugenia F. “Molly’, 80, of Tucson, passed away December 11, 1995. Molly became active in sales with a family run contracting firm in Crystal, MN and sold hundreds of homes and later moved to Key Biscayne, FL to head up the sales staff for successful completion of the 560 unit Commodore Club Condominium. She retired in 1977 and is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Lester; daughters, Janice (Duane) Washam of Tucson and Marcia Hopwood of Minneapolis, MN. Preceded in death by son, Murray. She will be dearly missed by brother, Jerry (Carmie) Murray of FL; sisters, Mary (Bob) Holland of TX, Janet (George) Nelson of FL, Pat (Bob) Hillstrom, Donna (Don) Roesche and Jacquelin Murray of Minneapolis; and sister-in-law, Helen Bronson of Minneapolis; 14 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.
