MCCORMICK, Kenneth Michael, 47, passed away December 14, 1995. He is survived by wife Kathryn; sons, Scott, J.T., and Travis; parents, Kenneth and Colleen McCormick; sister, Linda (David) Smith; brothers, Steven (Donna), Clifford; grandmother, Willa Rackley. Michael was a native Tucsonan and an active member of Operating Engineers, local 428. A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. Northern. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to your favorite charity in Mike’s memory.

MEYER, Doris M., 69, passed away Saturday, December 16, 1995. She had been a resident of El Paso for 15 years. She was a retired nurse; she did volunteer work in many organizations and was very active in Girl Scouting and a member of the El Paso Woman’s Club. Survivors include her husband, Robert Charles Meyer; daughters, Jacquilyn McGee and Jonna M. Meyer; son, Robert Dale Meyer; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren. She will be in state beginning 4:00 p.m. today at Harding Orr and McDaniel Montana Avenue. Graveside Funeral Services will be held Wednesday 10:30 a.m. at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery with Rev. Earl Cleaveland officiating. Arrangements by Harding Orr and McDaniel Montana Avenue.

MULDROW, Everett A., born March 13, 1925 in Clarita, OK, went to be with the Lord, December 17, 1995. After serving his country with the US Army, he went to work for the Pacific Fruit Express Rail Road, retiring after 39 years. After long hours at the Pacific Fruit Express, Everett put in many more as a custodian at the Tucson Baptist Temple where he and his family worshiped. Everett is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Helen, of 48 years; daughters, Debra (Larry) Trimble, Vicki (Steve) Street; grandchildren, Shanon and Steven Trimble, Jeremy, Christopher, and Autumn De Witt and Megan Street, all of Tucson; brothers, JC of CA, Lonell of OR and half sister, Linda Dana-Cruz of CA. Everett will be greatly missed by all his family and friends who knew and loved him. Friends may call at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. (at Speedway), from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 20, 1995. Graveside Services will be held at South Lawn Cemetery 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 21, 1995, with Rev. Louis W. Johnson officiating.

STOGNER, J.L., 85, of Tucson, died Monday, December 18, 1995. He is survived by his wife, Cassie; daughters, Loretta (Bill) Ewing of Tucson, Loretha (Mike) Valdez of CO; son, L.J. (Norma) of Tucson; daughter-in-law, Pat Stogner of Florence; grandchildren, David of CA, Stacy of Florence, and Larry, Lora and Lyle, all of Tucson; and nine great grandchildren. Mr. Stogner was a Deacon-Treasurer-Songleader at Flowing Wells Baptist Church. Friends may call at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. MCCOLLUM, Madonna B., age 55. A 22 year resident of Tucson, passed away December 18, 1995. Born August 28, 1940 in Gaston, IN. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Max; sons, Michael, Mitch, and Max McCollum and his wife, Christina; sisters, Betty Welch and Connie Freeman. Pre-deceased by her parents, Darrel and Olive Iseley and sister, Nancy Pippen. A visitation will be held today from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5401 S. Park Ave. Funeral service 1:00 p.m., Thursday at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY CHAPEL. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery.

MORGAN, Arthur C., 80, of Tucson, passed away from this life December 18, 1995. Survived by his wife of 47 years, Isabelle; sister, Evelyn Heyer of Sarasota, FL; brothers, Paul Morgan of Oak Hill, OH and John Morgan of Jackson, OH. Mr. Morgan was a WWII veteran, a member of the Masonic Lodge. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY, 5801 E. Grant Rd. where friends may call from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. prior to service. Burial will follow in East Lawn Palms Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to your favorite charity.

NEELY, George Clover, 87, of Tucson, died Monday, December 18, 1995. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothea in 1992. Loving father of, Rose (Leon) Augst and Clarence Neely; beloved grandfather of Tary Lee (Delmer) Geesey, Michael Neely, Nancy (Chet) Zema, Lt. Col. Greg (Robbin) Augst, Kelly Augst and Norman Neely. Six great grandchildren, a brother, Clifford and a sister, Mary Ellen, also survive. Mr. Neely was a Well Driller by profession and drilled oil and water wells in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Kentucky, and Illinois. He was a member of I.O.O.F. in Mt. Pleasant, MI. George greatly enjoyed his journey through this life and took special pleasure in helping others. Memorial service 3:00 p.m., Thursday, December 21, 1995 at Campana Del Rio, 1550 E. River Rd., with Pastor Delmer Geesey officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 5325 E. Pima, Tucson, 85712 or to the Arizona Lung Association, 2819 E. Broadway, Tucson, 85716.

RAPPAPORT, Mary, 86, of Tucson, died December 18, 1995. Survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. SNIFFEN, Barbara A., 68, of Tucson died December 17, 1995. Wife of, William R. of Tucson; mother of, Sheryl L. Nagle of San Francisco, CA, Michael S. McKinney of Phoenix, AZ; four grandchildren, one great-grandson; step mother of, Jacquie L. Bock, Nancy R. Van De Hey, Larry D., Michael R. and Jerry L. Sniffen. VAN BEZOOYEN, Mae A., 81, born August 15, 1914 in New York City. She passed away suddenly on December 14, 1995. She is survived by brother, Morris Arkin of Silver Springs, MD; sister, Lorraine Weinberger of Bethesda, MD; brother, William (Bud) Arkin of Pensacola, FL; sister-in-law, Patt Arkin of Pebble Beach, CA; daughter, Trudy Van Bezooyen of Arlington, VA; son and daughter-in-law, John and Joanne Van Bezooyen of Tucson. She is also survived by three much-loved granddaughters, Jaime, Julie and Jodi Van Bezooyen of Tucson. Mae was a WAC veteran, serving in Europe during WWII. She was an active member of the Tucson Historical Society, as well as several other local organizations. Please remember her dancing, traveling, and having fun with her friends. She lived a full and active life right up to her last day. Thank you to her many friends who so enriched her time on this earth. No services or visitations.

FORTMAN, Gene E., 66, died December 19, 1995. Survived by his wife, Louise Fortman of Tucson; step-father, David Cronin of OH; children, Kathy (Richard) of WA, Richard Fortman of AK, Jeffery (Paula) Fortman of WA, David Fortman of KS, Scott Casey Fortman of Tucson; 13 grandchildren also survive. Mr. Fortman was a member of the Mill Wright Local 1914 in Phoenix. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Heart Association, 5325 E. Pima, Tucson 85712. GILBERT, Melba, Celina, 76, of McKinney passed away Wednesday, December 13, 1995 at Pavilion Nursing Home in McKinney, TX. Mrs. Gilbert was born December 2, 1919 in McKinney. Daughter of the late Arthur and Purnell Drake McGhee. She married Frank Gilbert, September 24, 1941 in Honolulu, Hawaii and she was a member of the Protestant faith. Preceded in death by parents; son, Craig Alan Gilbert; and a brother, Sonny McGhee. Surviving husband, Frank of McKinney; son, Dennis Paul Gilbert-McKinney; sister, Denia Tarvin-McKinney; three grandchildren, Adam Gilbert, Angelia Gilbert, Alina Gilbert all of McKinney; several nieces and nephews. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Cantrell Funeral Home of Frisco.

HART, George W. III, 43, died December 16, 1995. Survived by many friends. Graveside Service 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 22 at TMP South Lawn with Dr. Wayne North officiating. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. to Noon, Friday, December 22 at BRING’S MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 236 S. Scott.

HOOD, Noble Clarke, 94, died peacefully on December 16, 1995. Born May 8, 1901, in Pickering, MO, son of Lula A. and John M. Hood. Predeceased by wife, Thelma Ledbetter. Survived by his loving wife, Ruth and her children; and by three sisters, Ada Alexander, Maryville, MO, Eva Gray, Trenton, MO and Audley Houston, Dayton, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom were loved by Noble. Noble graduated from U of O at Norman, and was a member of Delta Upsilon Fraternity. He was a Commissioned Officer in the Navy during WWII. He served as Court Clerk, NE District Federal Court, Tulsa, OK, for Judge Royce Savage for 22 years. Noble enjoyed his retirement years in Tucson at Skyline Country Club and the Forum for over 25 years, where he also made good friends. There will be no memorial service at Noble’s request. A gathering of friends will be held at a later date. Adair Dodge Chapel made arrangements. Noble will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Donations may be made to Noble’s name to The Salvation Army.

HOPKINS, Effie D., 87, of Tucson, died December 17, 1995. Survivors include niece, Wanda Shattuck of Tucson. Memorial Services will be announced at a later date. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. (at Speedway).

JEAN, Melvin W., 92, died December 18, 1995. Mr. Jean came to Tucson in 1963 from Sherrard, IL. Survived by children, Guy B. Jean of Tucson, Darlene (Deanne) Fisher of Tucson, Melba Frew of IL and Roland (Cynthia) Jean of IL; 11 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters; one grandchild; and one great grandchild. Mr. Jean was preceded in death by his wife, Ada Marie Wheaton. In lieu of flowers, family suggest donations to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 13126, Tucson 85732 or to the Music Fund at Christ Church United Methodist. Memorial service 1:30 p.m. Friday, December 22 at Christ Church United Methodist, 655 N. Craycroft Rd. with Rev. Tom Kiracofe officiating. Interment to take place in Reynolds, IL. Arrangements by BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.

LOPEZ, Alejandra Y., 96. Preceded in death by husband, Gustavo Lopez; son, Alex; daughters, Connie (Bobby) Ramirez and Hope (Robert) Jacobs. She left behind daughters Olga Pelayo, Gloria Martinez and Alicia Flin. Also sons, Robert and Gustavo Lopez. With her 25 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter. Alejandra Y. Lopez was born on April 24, 1899 in Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico. She passed into God’s arms on December 19, 1995 at the age of 96 years young. To all that knew her she was a gracious and loving person and will be greatly missed by all. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 22, 1995 TUCSON MORTUARY, (North Chapel), 204 S. Stone Ave., 4:00 to 10:00 p.m., with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered Saturday, 10:00 a.m. at St. Monica’s Church. Interment will follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. Arrangements by TUCSON MORTUARY, INC.

McINTYRE, Mary A., 83, died December 19, 1995. Preceded in death by her husband, Anthony M. McIntyre. Survived by her nieces, Pauline Peters and Sharon Unger; nephew, Dennis A.
