He is survived by his wife, Betty Jean Deister; daughters, Debby Edwards, Dannette Schultz, Denise Jimenez; son, Dennis Deister, and eight grandchildren. He was a member of Knights of Columbus, and Boy Scouts of America. Friends may call at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. Northern Ave. at Magee, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 6, 1995. Services will be held at St. Odilia Catholic Church Thursday, 9:00 a.m. September 7, 1995. GASPER, Eldridge, 64, native of Tucson, passed away September 4, 1995. Preceded in death by parents, Emilio and Josefita Eldridge; son, David Glenn. Survived by his wife, Angie Anaya Eldridge; son, Martin Emilio (Lupita) Eldridge; daughter, Evelyn Yvonne (Rick Hollander) Eldridge-Morris; grandchildren, Teodore M. Eldridge, Emilia G. Eldridge, Jason Glenn Morris and Barbara Ann Morris; cousins, Belen R. Ramirez, Alex Richards, Moses Richards, Bertha F. Esparza; beloved brother/friend of the Mares/Rodriguez family; many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces. Gasper was a 22 year veteran of the United States Marine Corps, and was a member of 'Easy' Company, 13th Inf. Bn. USMCR. During the Korean Conflict he was awarded the Silver Star and the Purple Heart. He retired with the rank of the 1st. Sgt. Gasper was a life time member of Tucson Marine Corps League Detachment. He also was retired from Pima County Facilities Maintenance Dept. Electrical Division. Gasper will always be remembered by his family and friends for his music and his guitar. Friends are invited to visit with family and loved ones Friday 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. at the TUCSON MORTUARY, (South Chapel), 240 S. Stone Ave. Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be Saturday at 10:00 a.m. St. John's Catholic Church, 602W. Ajo Way. Burial at South Lawn Cemetery.

GONZALES, Steve H., 94, of Benson, passed away September 3, 1995 at Tucson Medical Center. Survived by spouse, Maria of Benson; a son; four daughters; two brothers; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. HERRERA, Joseph, 42 years old, died Sunday, September 3, 1995 in Tucson. Survived by his parents, Frances Benson of Phoenix, and Joe Herrera of Sacramento, CA; two sisters, Judy Herrera of Sacramento, CA, and Michelle Bensen of Phoenix, AZ. Funeral Services for Mr. Herrera will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the Emanuel Tabernacle Church, 301 E. Los Reales, Wednesday, September 6, 1995. Survived by loving companion, Joanne Lopez of Tucson; daughter, Melody Marquez; son, Forrest Marquez, both of Hubbard, OR; brothers, Emeterio Marquez of Phoenix, William Marquez of Fontana, CA; George Marquez of Tucson, Ben Marquez of Phoenix; sister, Delfina Cameron of Laveen, AZ; Lorraine Eiler of Glendale, AZ, Sheri Marquez, Nancy Marquez, both of Phoenix; and one grandchild, Meleek Tomas J. MICHAEL, Sharon Moon, 59, of Tucson, AZ., and formerly Naperville, IL., died September 2, 1995 of cancer. Preceded in death by her parents, Lester W. Moon and Genevieve Strong Moon. Survived by her son, Kevin Michael of Burbank, CA., and her ex-husband, Randy Michael of Tucson. A graduate of Stephens College and Naperville High School. Director for many years of the American Saddlebred Pleasure Horse Association and the Arizona Saddlebred Association. A member of United Professional Horsemans Association, American Horse Shows Association, American Saddlebred Horse Association and American Saddlebred Horse Museum. Gathering of friends, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 6, at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway. MORRIS, Robert L. 'Bob', 73 years old, died Sunday, September 3, 1995 in Tucson. Survived by his wife, Ruth; five children; two step-children; 12 grandchildren; three brothers; two sisters; and a host of other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by parents and two sisters. His last years he enjoyed his position as salesman at Galloway Jeep Dealership. In lieu of flowers, family request donations to Carondolet Hospice or American Cancer Society. MUNGUIA, Herlinda V., 72, passed away September 2, 1995. Survived by children, Richard, Raymond, Manny, Crystal, Elizabeth, Maria and Linda; sister, Alice Dalton; and several grandchildren also survive. OCHOA, Angela E., 97, of Tucson, passed away September 1, 1995. Born in Saric Sonora, Mexico. Preceded in death by husband, Arcadio B. Ochoa. Beloved mother of Lupe (Oscar) Romero of San Gabriel, CA, Frances Sotomayor of Portland, OR, Ophelia (Frank) Silva of Los Angeles, CA, Mary Ochoa, Soledad Ortiz, Ray Ochoa, Angel (Lucy) Ochoa, John Ochoa and Bob (Mary) Ochoa; 65 grandchildren; 161 great-grandchildren; and 66 great-great-grandchildren. Also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews; and many loving friends. Pallbearers: Ray, Angel, John and Bobby Ochoa, Billy Ortiz, Jr., Billy Romero, Rick Silva and David Sotomayor. SCHROEDER, Calvin K., 65, passed away September 4, 1995. Survived by his wife of 45 years, Eldora Schroeder; daughter, Shelley (Rick) Maes; son, Rob (Lori) Schroeder; and grandchildren, Jason, Eric, Christopher and Jayna, all of Tucson, AZ; also survived by his brother, Harold Schroeder; sister, Betty Wiess and Linda Struthers, all of Bay City, MI. VAN AUKEN, Margaret, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, 78, of Tucson, passed away September 4, 1995. She was born June 1, 1917, in Kewanee, IL., and moved to Tucson in 1952. Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Willard, and her daughter, Jacqueline. She is survived by her son, Dennis Van Auken of Tucson; daughter, Lynette McCown of Clear Lake, TX; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY, 5401 S. Park Ave., on Wednesday, September 6, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 7, 1995.

COLE, Shirley Mae, 61 years old, died Saturday, September 2, 1995, in Tucson. Survived by husband, Edger Cole of Tucson; four sons, Traci Wickershan, Uba City, CA., Edger L. Cole III, and Kenneth Cole, both of Tucson, David Lee Cole of Oakdale, CA; daughter, Jerri Lynn Carofalo of Midlothan, VA., Sheri Lee Foster of Uba City, CA; brother, Donald Fournier of Kansas City, MO; sister, Joan Gucciardo of Tucson; mother, Isabel Fournier of Tucson, eight grandchildren. CRAIG, Virginia Ann, 67, of Tucson, was called to rest with our Lord Savior on Sunday, September 3, 1995. Ginny, a loving, caring, and giving Christian woman is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Herman Lee Craig, Jr.; daughter, Patricia Ann Morrison of LaVerne, CA; son, Kenneth Allen Craig of Tucson; six brothers, four sisters-in-law; five grandchildren; four nieces; ten nephews; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. Ginny was a successful entrepreneur and a Board of Director for WIBC (Women's International Bowling Congress). She will be terribly missed by all who knew her. Special thanks to close friends who assisted the family and staff members of the Northwest Hospital ICU. Memorial donations may be made to Charles R. ESTEP, Troy M., a resident of Tucson for 18 years, passed away September 1, 1995 in Sonoyta, Sonora, Mexico, at the age of 21. Born November 9, 1973 in Columbus, Ohio. Troy is survived by his father, Roger A. Estep; mother, Carolina Garza; brothers, Roger L. Estep II and Eric E. Estep; grandparents, Venice Estep, Manuel and Sara Garza; many aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces; also surviving this terrible tragedy was his girlfriend of six years, Karri Fugate, and unborn child due March of 1996. Troy was a graduate of Cholla High School Class of 1991. Troy was a stunt man at Old Tucson until it was destroyed by fire. Troy was currently attending Pima College. Troy was employed at Pizza Hut on Valencia Rd. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 5, 1995 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY, 5401 S. Park Ave. Funeral Service 5:00 p.m. Wednesday at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY CHAPEL, Pastor John Dicken Heritage Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be held in Georgesville, OH., on September 7, 1995. GRANT, Ernest Clarence, Rev., 81, of Green Valley, a retired minister of the United Church of Christ, died Friday, September 1, 1995. Survived and beloved by his wife, Gertrude; loved and loving children, David Howard and Paul Ernest, and their wives, Georgann and Kristin; grandchildren, Joy, Jennifer, Tom, Hannah, and Lily. Graduated Syracuse University in 1941, Phi Beta Kappa Manga Cum Lauda, and Chicago Theological Seminary 1945, Master of Divinity; ordained 1945 to the Congregational Christian Church United Church of Christ. During his lifetime he served Forest Heights Congregational Church of Minneapolis, MN; First Congregational Church of Hancock, MI; First Congregational Church of Dearborn, MI; First Congregational Church of Des Plainos, IL; and after retiring, served Rincon Congregational Church of Tucson as Minister of Pastoral Visitation. He dedicated his life to the people he served, a man committed to his Faith and the search for the Truth; an advocate of Hope for the poor and downtrodden, sick and troubled; an inspiration to youth and the elderly; deeply loving of and loved by all those that he touched. True to his vows to the Christian Ministry. Memorial Service Tuesday, September 5, at 1:30 p.m. at Rincon Congregational Church, 122 N. Craycroft Road, Tucson, AZ.
