O'CONNOR, Clara L., 87, died Friday, September 22, 1995. Survived by son, Donald O'Malley; and daughter, Eva Faubert; sister, Mary Winn; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; nephew, Michael H. Winn; and niece, Patricia Harrison. Clara was active in the DAV #4 Woman's Auxiliary, serving as chapter commander and for many years as chapter treasurer. She also served a term as state commander of the Woman's Auxiliary. She was a long time member of Saint Augustine Court of the Catholic Daughters of America. ROGERS, Walter S., 78, died September 24, 1995. Survived by his wife, Wanda (Graves) Rogers of Tucson; children, Linda Shovan of Colorado, Susan Baysinger of MI, Janet Canode of MI; brother, Milton Rogers of MI; sisters, Eleanor Slusser and Jeanette Daddona, both of PA; grandfather of Jesse LaBuhn, Stephen Baysinger, Lisa Bland, Melissa Baysinger, Jeannine LaBuhn, Lora Shovan, Jenna LaBuhn; great-grandsons, Whitney and Austin Graham. Mr. Rogers was a member of the Catalina United Methodist Church. He retired from Detroit Edison in 1979. He was Past Master of Samuel Ward Lodge #62 F&AM, High Priest of Richard Cottrell Chapter #128, Past Patron Emily Ward Chapter 205 order of the Eastern Star, Marine City, MI, and member of Scottish Rights of Tucson. SPORE, Guy Wendell, 88, of Tucson, passed away Monday, September 25, 1995. He was born in Champaign, IL. He is survived by his wife, Margaret; daughter, Mary Karen Pitteroff and son-in-law, Larry; sister, Rose Margaret Zach of Davenport, IA; and brother, Harold Spore (Dorothy) of Tulsa, OK. He was a member of Sabbar Shrine Temple and was a 32nd Degree Mason. He was a life member of Tucson Elks Lodge #385, and a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church. CHESIN, Edward, 74, passed away peacefully in his sleep after a 10 year battle with Alzheimer's disease. He was a retired contractor who in addition to building many commercial projects was instrumental in the construction of over 4000 Tucson homes. Prior to his moving to Tucson in 1946, he served in the United States Army Air Corp, 14th Air Force. He was one of the famed 'Flying Tigers' who served in the China Burma-India Theatre. He is survived by his sister, Gertrude Novak; his brothers, Norman and Leonard; his children, Marc, Michael, Jeffrey and Tamara; and six adorable grandchildren. Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, September 27, 1995 at 11:30 a.m. at EVERGREEN MORTUARY and CEMETERY, 3015 N. Oracle Rd. HAYFORD, Helen Betty (nee Colombo), 68 years old, died on September 24, 1995 in Tucson Medical Center. Born in North Haledon, NJ she lived there until moving to Tucson two years ago. She was a retired administrative assistant with Food Stamp Program in Paterson, NJ. She was a member of Green Peace, Wildlife Federation, Save the Whales and Sierra Club. Survivors include her husband, Donald Hayford of North Haledon; daughter, Bonnie Hayford of Bisbee, AZ; many, many loved ones. OSBORNE, Earle Dean, retired cattleman, 74, passed away peacefully in his sleep of natural causes during the night of September 20, 1995 at his residence in Pinetop, AZ. Member of a ranching and mercantile family who came to Arizona in the early 1900's, Earle Osborne was born in Globe, Arizona on January 28, 1921.
Earle Osborne grew up in San Carlos, AZ, near Globe on the San Carlos Apache Indian Reservation. His father owned and operated a trading post on the reservation.
Earle Osborne joined the First Calvary Division of the United States Army during World War II. He fought for two and a half years in the Pacific Theatre, where he advanced to the rank of Captain. He commanded B-Troop.
Earle Osborne returned from the war to Tucson and graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in Agriculture.
Following university, Earle Osborne went into business with his father at the trading post in Peridot, AZ, near San Carlos.
Earle then purchased the Tres Bellotas Ranch (also known as the Cross S Ranch) near Arivaca, Arizona, together with his brother Homer Osborne and his father.
Earle Osborne owned and operated the Tres Bellotas Ranch until he retired. He also managed the Buenos Aires Ranch near Sasabe, AZ, which was at the time one of the largest ranches in Arizona.
Earle Osborne is survived by his loving wife, Helen Edwards Osborne, his three children, Pamela Ruth, Earle Jason and John Edwards Osborne, and two grandchildren, Monica Leigh and Valerie Gene Osborne. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Ellen McArthur and brother, Homer Osborne.
A Memorial Service will be held at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge, Tucson., at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 26, 1995. All are welcome.
PETERS, Benjamin F. (Biff), April 10, 1906 – September 23, 1995 Mr. Peters was born in New Orleans, LA and was the oldest child of B.F. and Maud Peters. In 1916 his family which included his sister, Lucille, moved to El Paso, TX. As a young man he played semi-professional baseball. In his mid-twenties he moved to Tucson and worked as a sales representative for M.D.R. Hardware for over 51 years. During WWII Mr. Peters joined the army and served over seas in Europe. After the war he married Catherine L. Mella. Mr. Peters is survived by his wife, Catherine of 50 years, their two children, Frank M. Peters of Northridge, CA and Susan J. Peters of Del Mar, CA; his daughter-in-law, Jennifer Peters of Northridge, CA; and his sister, Lucille McKemy of El Paso, TX. In addition he is survived by his three grandchildren, Todd Fowler, Brian Peters and Stephanie Peters, along with five nieces and three nephews and their families. The Memorial Mass will be Tuesday, September 26, 10:00 a.m. at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church. We are grateful for the care and kindness shown to Mr. Peters and his family by Handmaker's and their Hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Handmaker's Hospice.

COUSER, Jessie Louise, 86, of Tucson, passed away September 21, 1995. Survived by her only son, R. Lamar Couser, a local attorney; and three grandchildren, Roy L. Couser II of Denver, CO, William Barton Couser and Thomas Grant Couser of Tucson. Mrs. Couser was born in Graysville, GA on April 28, 1909, and attended school in Chattanooga, TN. She was the widow of Roy Pedway Couser of Tullahoma, TN. Mrs. Couser was retired from sales and bookkeeping in the late 1940's. She was a child of God and will find a special place in heaven. She will be buried beside her husband in Chattanooga, TN. Private services will be held in Chattanooga, TN at a later date. Arrangements by ARIZONA MORTUARY.
CRAVEN, John Andrew, 37, died September 22, 1995. Survived by parents, James and Mary Craven; brothers, James M. (Cathy) Craven, Joseph L. (Pat) Craven and Kevin L.
