MCFATE, Clifford M., 82, passed away October 4, 1995 after a short illness. He is survived by his wife, Florence McFate; son and daughter-in-law, Philip J. and Marjorie McFate of Tucson; daughter, Mary Jayne (McFate) Murray of Tucson; grandsons, Craig Bowen of Pittsburgh, PA and Michael McFate of Tucson; granddaughter, Kimberly (McFate) Spitzer; and great-grandson, Shawn Patrick Spitzer of Tucson. He was retired from the IBM Corporation and Erie Lackawanna Railroad and a member of the Elks Lodge 852. Funeral Services will be held from the McCormack's Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery, Binghamton, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, P. O Box 13126, Tucson, 85732-3126. Arrangements by BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.

MYERS, Ernest H., 88, of Tucson, died September 30, 1995. Born February 21, 1907 in Hollidaysburg, PA; he was a member of F.O.E. Aerie #180, Tucson. Survived by wife, Flossie Myers of Tucson. Memorial Service Thursday, 11:00 a.m. F.O.E. Aerie #180, 1530 N. Stone Ave. Arrangements by EVERGREEN MORTUARY and CEMETERY.

PIERSON, Camille, 93, of Mammoth, died peacefully October 5, 1995. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence in 1955 and son, Clarence, Jr. in 1980. Survivors include children, Camille Creamer of Stockton, CA, Gwendolyn Smith of Eufaula, OK, Verna Werner of Winkelman, AZ, Buckley Pierson of Wellington, NV, Violet Young of Winkelman, AZ, John Pierson of Winkelman, AZ, Muriel Grover of San Manuel, AZ, Gene Pierson of Globe, AZ, Jerry Pierson of Winkelman, AZ and Judy Huffman of Oracle, AZ; 31 grandchildren; 64 great grandchildren and 18 great great grandchildren. Memorial Services Monday 3:00 p.m. EVERGREEN MORTUARY with Beverly Boone, Deaconess of Life Care Center of Tucson officiating. Arrangements by EVERGREEN MORTUARY and CEMETERY, N. Oracle and W. Miracle Mile.

SWANSON, Melvin A., 82, of Tucson and Minneapolis, died Thursday, October 5, 1995. He is survived by daughters, Linda Anderson of Tucson; Patricia Chatburn of Lake Mary, FL, Nancy Kaplan of Patomic, MD; sons, Robert and James of Minneapolis, MN. He was a WWII Veteran and Mess Sergeant with the 87th Division, Golden Acorns and fought in The Battle of the Bulge, The Ardennes, The Rhineland and Central Europe. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. Services and Burial will be held in Minneapolis, MN. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel.

WEAKLEY, James V., born in Providence, RI January 3, 1958, passed away September 26, 1995 in Laguna Beach, CA. Beloved son of Ann Marie Trinko; his brother, Steven E. Weakley and wife Joan and son Chris; sister, Elizabeth Ann Roderick who passed away August 30, 1994; uncle of Kayla Marie Roderick; aunts, Rita, Joan, Carol and Arlene; son of John Weakley; stepfather, Ray Trinko; his beloved and dearest friend, Stan Meyer. James you are now with your sister Elizabeth Ann in God's heavenly hands. We will always love you and miss you. Love Mother.

HOLT, Diana Bird, died on October 2, 1995 in Tucson, AZ following 28 years of pain. She was born on September 15, 1951 in Salt Lake City, UT. Her father, E. Clark Bird, preceded her in death and welcomed her lovingly when she joined him. Her mother, Ruth Chadwick Bird resides in Salt Lake City. Diana married R. Douglas Holt in the LDS Salt Lake Temple on September 12, 1972. Diana raised two marvelous daughters, Marianne 20 and Martha 18, who both attend BYU. Marianne and Martha served their mother with great compassion and love. She is also survived by a sister, Ponce R. Madden, Salt Lake City; two brothers, Dennis Clark (Linda) Bird of San Diego and L. Clark (Kathy) Bird of Las Vegas. Diana loved people and learned she could do much from her bed to counsel and minister to them. She had worked for five years as a volunteer at St. Joseph's Emergency room and also as a patient advocate for the Hospice of Tucson. Diana was especially concerned with those who suffered grief and pain. In spite of her own pain she always put others' needs first. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Diana served faithfully in many callings including Gospel Doctrine and Spiritual Living teacher. She offered a great sacrifice to serve as mission mother in the Portugal Lisbon South Mission. She especially loved her missionaries and felt great affection and caring from them. She also was devoted to supporting her husband in his church assignments, even though often remained at home in bed. God bless the memory and life of this wonderful and compassionate woman. She is finally out of pain for which we express gratitude to our loving Father in Heaven. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the General Missionary Fund, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 50 E. South Temple, Salt Lake City, UT 84150. Viewing on Friday night October 6, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Rincon Stake Center, LDS Church. Funeral Service 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 7 at the Rincon Stake Center, 1655 S. Melpomene Way. Interment to follow at the LDS Binghampton Cemetery. There will also be a Memorial Service held in Salt Lake City on Thursday, October 12 at 7:00 p.m. at the LDS Chapel, 6301 S. 2300 East. Arrangements by BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.

MACMILLAN, Helen S., 81, died Thursday, October 5, 1995. She became a Tucson resident in 1951 and with her husband helped develop the Kaibab Shop at its original downtown location. She is survived by her family: husband, Ben MacMillan of Tucson; daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Paul Lambert of Tucson, daughter and son-in-law, Wendy and Jim Ferguson of San Jose, daughter, Sara Haley of Gaithersburg, MD; sister, Margaret Hessberg of Juno Beach, FL; sister, Sydney Buhler of Stamford, CT; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, October 7, 1995 at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway. In lieu of flowers, the Alzheimer's Assoc., 2221 N. Rosemont Blvd., Tucson is a worthy organization.

RUIZ, O. Josephine (Jody Hamm), 72, beloved by her family and friends passed away October 4, 1995. She was employed by Hughes Aircraft from 1952 and retired in 1981. She is survived by her sons, William and Gregory Hamm and her daughter Betty Jo Romero, all from Tucson. Also survived by nine grandchildren, Nicolas, Veronica, Jason, Audrey, Kristina, Krystal, Christina, Billy Bob Hamm and Carla Romero. Visitation Sunday 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. October 8, 1995, SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY, 5401 S. Park Ave. Service Monday 1:00 p.m. October 9, 1995 at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY.

SHEALY, Forrest E., Jr., 65, of Tucson, died October 2, 1995. TRUONG, Xuong Hoa, 68, of Tucson, passed away September 26, 1995. Survived by wife, Tieu Hoa Su; mother, Chun Su of CA; sons, Steve (and his wife Yan), Mu, Hau, Kiet, Sam, Lam and Dat; daughters, Lynn Truong (and her husband, Nho), Ha and Tri Truong (and her husband Hieu), all of Tucson; three sisters, one brother; and four grandchildren. Services Saturday, 10:30 a.m. EVERGREEN MORTUARY, with Pastor Paul Tse of Chinese Missionary Alliance Church of Tempe officiating with interment to follow Evergreen Cemetery. VAN HOFF, Francis J., 69, born in Sedalia, MO. Son of William Joseph and Ida Mary Van Hoff. Went to meet the Lord September 25, 1995, from Tucson, AZ. Active in the Lord's work to his death. He is survived by daughters, Linda L. Michaels, Kathie S. Vancanti; grandchildren, Anna M. McKinney, Joseph D. Michaels, John Vancanti III, Susan M. Michaels, Celia M. Van Hoff, Michael A. AUDINO, Rose Marie, 83 years old, died Tuesday, October 3, 1995 in Tucson. Survived by three daughters, Geraldine Inan of Tucson, AZ, Sally Mason of Beverly Hills, CA, Marie Groman of Carlisle, MA; brother, Charlie Polito of Rochester, NY; three sisters, Mary Mancuso, Amelia Cataldo, Gloria Lemboris, all of Rochester, NY; 15 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren. Mass for Mrs. Audino will be said Friday, October 6, 1995 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Pius X Church, 7651 E. Pima with entombment to follow at East Lawn Cemetery. Friends of Mrs. Audino may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 5, 1995 at WOLFREY PEACE CHAPEL, where Vigil Services will be said at 7:00 p.m. Thursday.

CONLEY, Thomas Earl, 79, beloved by his family and friends passed away October 3, 1995. Born February 24, 1916 in Pleasant Hope, MO. Survived by wife, Sarah and two daughters, Cathy Hales of Salt Lake City and Judy Conley of Denver, CO. Also survived by six grandchildren and two great grandchildren, a half brother, Ted Jones and several nieces and nephews. Earl worked for American Smelting and Refining Co. for 32 years, both mines in Patagonia and Silverbell. He was an avid bowler and spent countless hours bowling with various leagues at the Golden Pins Bowling Alley. Following our 'Daddy's' wishes, there will be no services. In lieu of services, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and/or American Heart Association. Arrangements by EVERGREEN MORTUARY and CEMETERY.
