Survived by daughter, Debbie Boatner; sons, David (Hilda) Brown, Buddy (Delois) Brown, Jack (Carol) Brown and Peter (Ruthie) Brown; brother, Steve (Jessy) Moreno; step-children, Oscar (Olga) Burruel and Grace Borquez; 29 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren; many niece and nephews. She also had a Foster Receiving Home over the years she took care of 356 children. Ms. Burruel was a Third Generation Pioneer family of Arizona. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 19, 1995, 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. at TUCSON MORTUARY, (South Chapel), 240 S. Stone Ave. Mass will be offered 10:30 a.m. at St. Augustine's Cathedral Church. GUTIERREZ, Higinio Y., 'Kino', 68, of Tucson, went with the Lord on October 15, 1995 after a brief illness. He was a retired mason tender of Union Local #479. He is survived by his loving wife, Raquel and sons, Joel (Esperanza), Ruben (Sylvia), Higinio (Jeannie), and daughters, Rachel (George), and Carmella (Rick); also surviving his brother, Juan Lugo and sister, Charlota Perez. He was blessed with 14 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren; and numerous loving nephews and nieces. A Memorial Service will be held October 18, at 7:00 p.m. at Apostolic Assembly of The Faith in Christ Jesus, 4216 S. 12th Ave, Tucson, AZ Reverend Joe Salcido officiating. MONTANO, Leopoldo 'Poli', age 55 years, died Friday, October 13, 1995. Preceded in death by a son, Leopoldo 'Bubba' Valencia Montano, Jr. Survivors include daughters, Chris, Arta, Victoria, Kathleen Montano; companion, Amalia Barton; brother, Juan (Maria) Montano; sister, Dora (Harold) Meyers; seven grandchildren. He was a member of the American Legion Post #68, VFW, a Vietnam Vet. He retired as a Master Sargent from the Air Force. O'FARRELL, Marlyn Maxine, 65, died October 16, 1995. Wife of Robert O'Farrell; mother of Jo Dee (Larry) Mathis, Michael J. (Vickie) O'Farrell, Robert S. (Jodi) O'Farrell, all of UT and James M. O'Farrell of Tucson; grandsons, Sam and Nick Mathis, Joshua and Aaron O'Farrell, Jaren O'Farrell, all of UT; and granddaughter, Kirstie O'Farrell of UT also survive. She was a volunteer with the Hospice, Breast Clinic, and Renewal Center and a member of the Franciscans, the Knights of Columbiettes, the Magnificant, and St. Francis de Sales Church. Her greatest enjoyment in life was her family. Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 18 at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL. SMITH, Esther Davis, widow of Andrew R. Smith, died at Tucson, Arizona on October 7, 1995. Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, on June 18, 1897, she is survived by her sons, David of Fairfield, Connecticut, and Philip of Tucson. Her daughter, Esther Mulford and her son Andrew predeceased her. She leaves 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Smith was the daughter of Charles E. Davis, a founder of the Bridgeport Chamber of Commerce, and of Susan Hawley Davis, a well known concert soloist and teacher. She was a charter member of the Junior League of Bridgeport and active in local charities in the Connecticut communities of Bridgeport and Fairfield. She had been an active member of the Oxford Group, Moral Rearmament and 'Up with People' since the early 1930's. In the late thirties, she became business manager for Irene Comer's dancing classes throughout Fairfield County. Mrs. Smith and her husband moved from Connecticut to Tucson in 1966 and became members of St. Philips in the Hills Episcopal Church where she was active as a member of the vestry and otherwise. She was a member of The Tucson Country Club and the Colonial Dames of America. Services will be held at St. Philips at 3 o'clock p.m. on Friday, October 20.

Survived by her husband of 58 years, Vernon 'Dick' Spacy; daughter, Sharon (Louis) Brunson of Las Vegas, NV; son, Allan (Dianna) Spacy of Richland, MO; four grandchildren, Scott, Monty, Dana and Larry; nine great grandchildren; three sisters, Violet, Mary and Betty. CARRILLO, Refugio A., 58, of Tucson, passed away October 14, 1995. Preceded in death by beloved daughter Christina. He spent lots of time with his precious grandchildren, Christy and Nicole who were the light of his life.
