REID, Naomi Erickson, 80, of Tucson, passed away Monday, October 16, 1995. Mrs. Reid was born in 1915 and raised in Chicago, IL., graduating from the University of Illinois in Champaigne. She married Lawrence S. Reid in 1942 and pioneered to Tucson in 1955. Throughout the years in Tucson, she was active in numerous activities including: Tucson Medical Center Auxiliary, Chairwoman of the Tucson Follies, Assistance League of Tucson, Tucson Symphony Auxiliary, member of Alpha X Delta Sorority, Republican Party Worker, member of American Society of Travel Agents, Girl Scout Leader, member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Tohono Chul Park Volunteer, and Ice Cat supporter. With her husband, Larry Reid, she formed Small World Travel, Inc. An avid traveler, she visited six continents via land, plane, train, hot air balloon and ship. Despite a variety of medical setbacks over the past several years, Naomi met life with open arms. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence S. Reid and grand-dog, Curly. Survived by daughters, Barbara Bennett of San Diego, Nancy Reid of Tucson, Gale (David) Light of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA; four grandchildren, Frank and Brooke Bennett and Morgan and L.D. Light. Also survived by a sister in Minneapolis; a brother in Chicago; numerous nieces and nephews; and a legacy of touching the lives of all she knew. Memorial Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 20, 1995 a St. Andrews Presbyterian Church with Barbara Smith officiating. DRESHER, Regina, 89, of Tucson, died October 16, 1995, after a prolonged illness. She was preceded in death by husband, Charles Dresher. BARRETT, Evelyn E., was born August 19, 1904, in Kennan, WI to Thomas and Julia Ryan Barrett. Preceded in death by sister, Catherine Barrett Wallrich, brother-in-law, Henry and niece Judith Wallrich Perry. She is survived by nephew, Thomas Wallrich, wife, Jane and great nephews Nicholas and Luke Wallrich, all of Burnsville, MN. Also survived by her great and dear friend Stella Coulter of Tucson. Evelyn died on Saturday, October 14, 1995. She retired to Tucson in 1967 after a distinguished career as a teacher, 25 years principal of The Hancock Elementary School in St. Paul, MN and several years as the principal in the United States schools in Japan, Germany and France. Her career culminated as the assistant superintendent of the U.S. schools in Spain and North Africa. After her retirement Evelyn continued teaching at St. Joseph's and the Santa Rosa Papago Indian Reservation. She and her friend Stella set up a library for the Tucson chapter of Right to Life. Evelyn received her B.A. from the River Falls State Teacher's College, River Falls, WI and her Master's degree from the University of Minnesota. She was member of Alpha Delta Kappa sorority. Evelyn traveled the world and her great interest were other cultures and life styles. She often gave an Irish toast: 'Here's to you and you and you, may you live to be one hundred; but may I live to be one hundred less one day, for what's the use of living when one's friends have gone away.' BAUMAN, Edith Ruth, (formerly Edith R. Hale), 66, died Saturday, October 14, 1995 after a prolonged illness. Survivors include her son, David D. Hale Jr.; daughters, Donna and Sandy Hale; and her grandchildren. Edith sacrificed much for those she loved and had great compassion for everyone. She taught us a great deal throughout our lives and in the end she taught us to die gallantly. Edith desired no ceremony.
