LEONARD, Oral 'Scotti', 72, of Tucson, died July 8, 1995. Survived by sons, Michael G. Leonard of Troy, NY, James G. Leonard of Dallas, TX, Gary L. Leonard of Houston, TX; daughter, Sherry A. Leonard of DeQuincy, LA; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren; sisters, Iris Densten of Medford Lakes, NJ, Garland Soza of Tucson; brother, Gordon MacLeod of Kalamazoo, MI. Scotti served in the Pacific during WWII as an Army Nurse and was a graduate of the Jewish Hospital School of Nursing, Cincinnati, OH. Scotti was a practicing RN for over 25 years including 2 1/2 years with the Peace Corps teaching nursing in West Africa. After retiring to Tucson in 1987, Scotti became an active member of St. Alban's Episcopal Church where she was a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Daughters of the King. Scotti's civic activities included Meals on Wheels and Visiting Shut Ins. Memorial Services will be held at St. Alban's Episcopal Church, 3737 Sabino Canyon Rd, Wednesday, July 12, 1995 at 10:00 a.m. The family request donations be made to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.

SANCHEZ, Lydia S., 54, of Tucson, passed away July 8, 1995. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Joe C. Sanchez; mother, Lucercia G. Renteria; sister, Olivia R. Duarte; brothers, Andres G. and Frank G. Renteria. Also survived by nieces and nephews, Lionel, Mellissa, Andres Jr., Andrea, Amber, Sarah and Lionel Jr. Lydia was a registered nurse for over 15 years at El Rio Health Center, Pima County Hospital and Carl Hayden Hospital. She was also a registered Nurse at St. Mary's Hospital and Tucson Medical Center. She gave of herself to her fellowman. WEISS, Mary Duffus, 87, died peacefully in her sleep Friday morning, July 7, 1995, beginning her long sought journey to join her husband, Norman Weiss who died in 1986. Mary and Norman moved to Tucson from Salt Lake City in 1961 with American Smelting and Refining Company's transfer of its Western Mining Operations. Mary and her ready smile will be missed by her two sons, John D. Weiss of St. Louis, and N. David Weiss of Tucson; eight grandchildren, Dr. Paul Weiss, Jane Rasmussen, and Rik Weiss, all of Salt Lake, John Weiss formerly of Salt Lake and Phoenix, now residing in Dever, Steve Weiss of Santa Clara, CA, Cathy Weiss of San Francisco, Dick Weiss of Chicago and another Steve, Steve Weiss of West Hollywood, CA; and eight great grandchildren, six of which reside in Salt Lake. Mary was born in Guanacevi, Durango, Mexico February 21, 1908, and married Norman 21 years later in Parral, Chihuahua, Mexico, just 75 air-miles north of Guanacevi. She was the last in her generation of Duffus and Weiss families. A simple memorial service is set for 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 13th at Hudgel's SWAN FUNERAL HOME, 1335 South Swan Road, just south of 22nd Street. REYNOLDS, Alfred S., born in Staten Island, NY, February 20, 1916, died July 7, 1995 in Richmond, IN. Survived by sister, Barbara Furiga of Show Low, AZ; nieces, Judith Mackelprang, Lonnie Smith, Adrian Debevoise; nephew, Michael Debevoise; four grand nieces and three grand nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Alfred and Mary and brother-in-law, Dennis Furiga. Mr. Reynolds was a Navy radio operator during WWII, a graduate of the University of Arizona with a Masters in Education. He retired from Sunnyside School District after 30 years at Sunnyside and Chaparral Junior High Schools and a gymnasium was named in his honor at Chaparral. In the 60's and 70's he was active in coaching women's softball and after his retirement he was an avid Ham Radio Operator. Graveside Service 9:00 a.m., Saturday, July 15 at South Lawn Cemetery. HALL, Nona W. A simple memorial service will be held at St. Philip's in the Hills Episcopal Church at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 12, 1995. Nona Smithson White Hall of Green Valley, Arizona, died peacefully at home on June 29, 1995. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas L. Hall, Professor Emeritus of the University of Arizona College of Law. Nona was born in Louisburg, TN on February 28, 1907. She moved to Glendale, AZ with her family in 1911 and then to Nogales in 1915. She and 'Tommy' became high school sweethearts before graduating from Nogales High School in 1925. They were married in Nogales on June 7, 1925. Tommy and Nona moved to Ann Arbor, MI, where son Thomas Jr. was born, and then back to Nogales after Tommy finished law school; daughter Nona Alice was born shortly thereafter. The Hall family spent the war years in Washington, D.C. and resettled in Nogales in 1949. The family moved to Tucson in 1958 and Tommy joined the University of Arizona faculty. After her husband passed away in 1989, Nona moved to Green Valley where she has been living with her daughter. Nona was a gifted athlete and artist. She enjoyed golf, painting, bridge and visiting with friends and family. She was a member fo the Delta Gamma Sorority and the P.E.O. Friends and family members will always remember 'Nano' as a cheerful, supportive optimist who always had a comforting word and hug to offer. She will be greatly missed by her children, Thomas L. Hall, Jr. (Charmaine), and Nona A. Sykes; her grandchildren, Adrian (Ann, and great-grandchildren Hayden and Hayley) and Stewart Hall, Jennifer (David) Berkheiser, and John (Lori) and Thomas (Lourdes) Sykes; and many friends and relatives.
