HOGUE, Evelyn L., 75, of Tucson, previously of San Manuel, died July 13, 1995. Beloved wife for 57 years of William Howard Hogue; daughter, Donna M. Hogue (Robert J. Terry-husband) of Tucson; brothers, Ansel Stanley of Mt. Vernon, IL (Shirley-wife), Glenn Stanley of San Manuel, AZ (Mary-wife); step-granddaughter, Barbara Byrd; great granddaughter, Courtney Byrd of Tulsa, OK; numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by four brothers and her parents. Evelyn was a member of Order of Eastern Star (charter member), Galiuro Chapter Oracle, Past Worthy Matron and AZ Past Grand Ester. Hobbies include fishing, camping, bowling, and bridge. She was very civic and community minded, and a charter member of Community Presbyterian Church of San Manuel. JANEGA, Victor A., Lt.Col. USAF ret., died peacefully at home on July 13, 1995. Born September 9, 1928 in Luka, Czechoslovakia, his family emigrated to the U.S. when he was 5 years old and settled in Bridgeport, CT. He was a graduate of the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA and the University of Arizona. Col. Janega served 25 years in the U.S. Air Force, including a tour of duty in Southeast Asia. Survived by wife, Joane; son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Krista Janega of Dallas, GA; daughters, Rebecca Janega of Hilo, HI and Leslie Janega of Austin, TX; grandsons, Kelly Clark of Hilo, HI, Viktor and Jozef Janega of Dallas, GA; granddaughter, Lennaya Janega of Dallas, GA; and niece, Jeannette Waite of Stratfort, CT. KILROY, Alice Wilson, 59, of Tucson, died July 14, 1995. Survivors include her husband, Oliver B. Kilroy Sr.; one son, Oliver B. (Lisa) Kilroy Jr. of Sunnyvale, CA; one daughter, Nancy Alice Kilroy; one brother, Conard Darrel (Mary) Wilson, both of Tucson; and one aunt, Ruth Dugan of Muskogee, OK. After attending the University of Oklahoma, Alice worked with the M.D. Anderson Cancer Clinic in Houston, TX. She was also affiliated with P.E.O. KRAPF, Margaret Theresa, 65 years old, Marana housewife and mother of five, passed away peacefully Monday night, July 10, 1995 at 10:30 p.m. in her sleep at home. Father Nacho will conduct Memorial Mass on Monday, July 17, 1995 at St. Christopher's Catholic Church, at 7:30 p.m. at 12101 W. Moore Rd., Marana. Margaret was born in Philadelphia, PA. daughter to Elizabeth and Fats Mingone. Attended school there. She married Elwood C. Krapf on January 9, 1954, together they had five children and are survived by Nick Charles Krapf of San Francisco, CA, Anna Rowlands of Levinttown, PA, John Krapf of Sherman, TX, Kathy Granillo of Marana, and Bill Krapf of Newport News, VA; 13 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sister, Helen Merchant; step-sisters, Rosemary Kahn, Eleanor; brother, Butch Mingone. MICHAUD, Leo J., 77 years old, died Wednesday, July 12, 1995 in Tucson. NICHOLS, James Edward, 67, passed away July 12, 1995 in San Diego, CA. A longtime resident of Tucson, he worked with Ironworkers Local 75 and was an active member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #180. He is survived by his wife, Jeanette of San Diego; and children, Frank of Burbank, CA, Stephanie Garner of San Diego, Donna Sorrow of White Plains, NY, James of Pasadena, CA and Gary of Murrieta, CA; and four grandchildren. WALSH, Ellen Marie, 88, of Idaho Falls, ID, died July 12, 1995. Preceded in death by her husband, Michael J. Walsh in 1977. Survived by her daughters, Kathleen Walsh of San Francisco, CA, Ellen Close of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Madge Donovan of Ireland; and four grandchildren. WATKINS, Frank H., 78, of Tucson, died July 13, 1995. Preceded in death by beloved wife of 45 years, Mollie. Survived by daughter, Linda Hewlett and her husband Robert; and daughter, Diane Somers; grandchildren, Alex Hewlett, Andy Hewlett, Brian Somers, and Kimberly Somers also survive. Frank born to a pioneer Tucson family, lived his entire life in Tucson. He graduated from Tucson High School in 1933 where he played football and baseball. After graduation from high school, he entered the University of Arizona where he completed an undergraduate degree in Business Administration. While in undergraduate school he was a member of the ROTC Cavalry, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, and served as head yell leader. He attended the University of Arizona College of Law for two years until called to active duty in World War II. Frank served as a captain in the Army Tank Battalion in Italy and in North Africa. After fulfilling his active duty requirements he returned to the University to complete his law degree.
Frank began his law career in 1947 and soon after became a partner in the firm Cusick, Watkins and Frey. He retired from Watkins, Stewart and Harris in 1988 after an accomplished 42 years of practicing law. In addition to practicing law, Frank also participated actively in the community, serving as president the Tucson Kewanis Club. He additionally served as a member of the University of Arizona Alumni Board of Directors and was past president of the Old Pueblo Club. Family and friends will remember Frank for his honesty, humor and devotion to his wife and family. A visitation will be held Sunday, July 16 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway. Service will be held Monday, July 17, at 10:30 a.m. at the Tanque Verde Lutheran Church, 8625 E. Tanque Verde Rd., with Pastor Frank Nausin officiating. ADKISON, Charles (Chaz) W., 27, of Tucson, died July 8, 1995. He was a Theatrical and Film carpenter, welder and technician. He was also an avid outdoorsman, musician, offroad enthusiast, surfer, sailor, writer and wonderful chef. He is survived by his father, Charles W. Adkison of San Diego; his sister, Lori Adkison, also of San Diego; his many loving friends, and Mara Ugan, his faithful dog. He is preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Adkison. A Memorial Service will be held on August 7.
