BOUCHER, Joseph, 91, of Tucson, died Wednesday, July 19, 1995. Born in New Bedford, MA. Preceded in death by his wife, Nalda in 1995 and son, Robert in 1963. Survived by children, Joseph L. Boucher Jr., Terri Boucher; daughters-in-law, Janice Boucher, Joan Yates; grandchildren, Brett, Robin, and Robert Boucher, Breana Dalrymple; and five great grandchildren. CRUZ, Philip M., who was a hospital administrator at Merced Community Medical Center for five years, died Sunday at his home. He was 46. Mr. Cruz was born September 13, 1948 in Tucson, AZ. He was a past Member on the board of Merced Hospice. A Member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, Mr. Cruz was active in its parent club and Parish activities. He was an avid sports fan who liked playing baseball and softball. Mr. Cruz was a Little League coach for 12 years. Survivors include his wife, Kimberley Cruz of Merced; three daughters, Megan, Emily and Allison Cruz, all of Merced; a son, Zachary Cruz of Merced; his mother, Carmela Cruz of Tucson, AZ; a sister, Mary Carmen of Tucson; and two brothers, Ernest Cruz of Concord and David Cruz of Redmond, WA. DAY, Josephine M., 84, died July 19, 1995. Wife of Richmond A. McEWEN, Sara Jane Sherry, 44, died July 19, 1995 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Born to Monroe and Velma Sherry, July 27, 1950, graduated from Connersville Senior High School and Purdue University of Pharmacy. Employed in the pharmacy at Tucson General Hospital for 17 years. She is survived by her husband Jack to whom she was married August 12, 1978; daughter, Erin, age 13; son, Ryan age 10. Also surviving her are her mother, Velma Sherry of Connersville, IN; two sisters, Linda Sue Lawler of Durango, CO and Elizabeth Ann Bryson of Connersville, IN. She was preceded in death by her father. She was also dearly loved by her mother and father-in-law, Jack and Laura McEwen of Camarillo, CA; sister-in-law, Laurie; brother-in-law, Eric Bryson; nephew, Mark Lawler; niece, Stacy Lawler and Don Freemyer. Sara was very family oriented and times spent with her family were a treasured priority. All of her family and friends feel fortunate to have shared wonderful times with Sara. She also had many friends and neighbors whom she loved and cared for and the feelings were returned in kind. She was a devoted wife and mother and was active in her children's school functions. She was athletic and loved the out of doors. Her hobbies were water and snow skiing and she was proficient in both. WOOD, Alan K., also known as 'Woody', formerly of Tucson, died in Yuma, AZ on July 8, 1995. Alan was born on February 25, 1966, in Tucson, and graduated from Amphi High School in 1984. He served in the U.S. Marines from May 1989, thereafter working for Honeycutt Rodeo Company, Grand Teton Lodge and the El Conquistador Stables before becoming a State Livestock Inspector in April 1994. He had lived in Yuma since October 1994 and was a member of the Morningside Southern Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles M. Wood, and is survived by his mother, Donna J. Wood of Tucson; sisters, Judy L. Wood of Tucson and Anita Lomeli of Sacramento, CA; nieces, Amber Wood, Marci Garcia and Linda Lomeli; nephews, William Van Wey and Alex Garcia; stepmother, Patricia Wood; several stepbrothers, and sisters; finacee, Gladys Rayhill of Jackson, WY; and numerous loving relatives and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at the Morningside Southern Baptist Church in Yuma on Sunday, July 23, at 2:30 p.m., and at the Old West Town at the Sheraton El Conquistador on Monday, July 24, at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Gilbert Taeger will officiate. Alan was loved and respected by all whose lives he touched, and will be sorely missed and fondly remembered by many, many people. BUSTAMANTE, Louis, 82, native of Tucson, died on July 18, 1995. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Carole Codiroli Bustamante; son, John of Tucson; son, Fred and wife, Paulette of Tucson; daughter, Carole Vieregg and husband, Jim of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Joshua, Adam, Louis, and Elizabeth Bustamante, all of Tucson; Margaret Camacho of Montebello, CA; and Mary Virginia Foster and husband, Norman of Whittier, CA. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mary Patricia Bustamante. Louie was born on May 28, 1913, the son of Tucson pioneers, Louis and Mary Bustamante. He attended the University of Arizona and was a photographer for La Nopalera Studio in historic downtown Tucson in his early career. He later worked for many years at Ronstadt Hardware and ended his career as a Purchasing Agent for Pima County at the age of 75 in 1988. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 20, 1995 from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. at TUCSON MORTUARY, (South Chapel), 240 S. Stone Ave., with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered at 9:00 a.m., Friday, July 21, 1995 at St. Augustine's Cathedral. Burial to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery.
