MERCIER, Edmund P., 84, a Tucson resident for 47 years, died August 3, 1995 in Phoenix. Survivors include his son, Frank J. Mercier; daughters, Susanne Mercier, Joyce E. Severson and Elaine M. Felix; brother, Raymond Mercier; 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Private Services are planned. Arrangements by Whitney and Murphy Arcadia Funeral Home.

TATUM, Bonnie, Green Valley, died Wednesday, August 2, 1995, she was forty. Bonnie was the beloved wife of Thomas Tatum, and mother of Takara and Tad Tatum. Born in Warminster, PA. She was a daughter of Ellsworth and Betty Frame. Bonnie was a graduate of the University of Arizona and a certified public accountant. Other surviving relations are her brothers, David and Edward Frame; her sister, Cindy Biehl; parents-in-law, Roy and Marie Tatum, and sisters-in-law, Marla Spengler and Tanya Tatum-Deyo. Bonnie will be dearly missed by all who loved her. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd, Tucson. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Huntington Disease Society, Delaware Valley Chapter, 1427 Vine Street, Philadelphia, PA 19102.

TURLEY, Ora N., 81, a longtime Tucson resident, died August 4, 1995 in Phoenix. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star. Visitation 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Whitney and Murphy Arcadia Funeral Home, Phoenix. Graveside Service 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at South Lawn Cemetery, Tucson.

LAVERGNE, Diane A., 49, of Tucson, passed on Monday, July 31, 1995. Survivors include husband, Richard; mother, Aleathea; brother, Kevin Prahar; sister, Lauren Prahar, all of Tucson. Memorial services will be at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. (at Speedway), 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 5, 1995 with Rev. Frank Rose officiating. Memorial donations may be made to any organization benefiting animals.

Rose Elizabeth Pavlovich August 2, 1995. Rose E. Pavlovich, who was among a group that helped give the USA an important military advantage during World War II, died at St. Mary's Hospice Tuesday from complications of congestive heart failure. She was 72.
Mrs. Pavlovich, while employed by a Chicago radio firm (Halicrafters) during World War II, volunteered to remain locked in the plant with other workers 36 consecutive hours during which time a super secret new device was completed that allowed U.S. planes to make devastating bombing runs against German oil, railroad and manufacturing facilities during daylight hours that helped end the war in Europe.
She had been married to Tucson newsman, Lou Pavlovich, for 38 years. Survived by husband, Lou Pavlovich; two sons, Lou, Jr., of Tucson, and Larry of Portland, OR; two sisters; and four brothers, who reside in the midwest and northwest.
Mrs. Pavlovich was born in DeWitt, NE, but grew up in the farming community of Onawa, IA, where she became an expert cook for family and farmhands at age 12.
She served part of World War II as secretary to the commanding officer at Port of Whittier in AK. After moving to Tucson she worked for one of the city's leading firms, Robertson, Childers, Burke and Drachman. She also worked for the Attorney General's office in Phoenix.
Later her family purchased 'Collegiate Baseball'newspaper and she served as accountant, business manager and advertising manager.
A private memorial service for immediate family was conducted.

DAVIS, C. Walter 'June', Jr., 77, of Tucson, died August 1, 1995. Survived by brother, Gerald L. (Angela) Davis of Tucson; niece, Nancy Christiansen of Tucson; nephews, Gary Davis and Larry Davis, both of Tucson; grandnephews, Craig Davis of CA, Joe Carrillo and Keith Christiansen, both of Tucson. Services Friday 1:00 p.m. EVERGREEN MORTUARY, N. Oracle and W. Miracle Mile. Friends may call Friday from noon till time of service. Interment Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Westside Senior Nutrition Program, 155 W. Helen, Tucson, AZ 85705.

FELIX, Socorro M., 79, of Tucson, gone to be with the Lord, passed away August 1, 1995. Survived by beloved daughters, Kathleen (Lon) Franklin and Irene Felix; sister, Annie White; grandchildren, Ryan, Rance, Rinda Coons and Chad and Ryan Franklin; great grandchildren, Kylee and Tyler Coons. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 4, 1995 from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. at TUCSON MORTUARY, (Center Chapel), 240 S. Stone Ave., with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered on Saturday, 9:00 a.m. at St. Augustine's Cathedral. Interment will follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. Arrangements by TUCSON MORTUARY, INC.

GRIM, Verone F., 88, daughter of Gordan Hunt and Rena Walker Ferguson and widow of C.G. 'Pete' Grim, died July 30, 1995. Mrs. Grim is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, G. Fred and Betty Joe Grim; two grandson, Peter G. Grim and G. Fred Grim, Jr.; and a great granddaughter, Seychelle Grim, all of San Diego, CA; her sister, Joe Ann Lawton of Whittier, CA; and nieces, Verone Lawton of New Paltz, NY and Susan W. Lawton, also of Whittier, CA. Verone, during her forty year residence in Tucson was actively associated with the Order of the Eastern Star, Order of True Kindred, Order of the Amaranth, Daughters of the Nile and Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). Verone was very active as a volunteer with the American Red Cross Tucson Chapter. She was an alumni of the University of Arizona and a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority in the late 1920's. Verone was also a housemother for the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity University of Arizona Chapter in the 1960's. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Red Cross Tucson Chapter, 222 S. Cherry Ave, Tucson, AZ. Memorial Service at 1:30 p.m. Friday, August 4, 1995 at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway, with the Order of True Kindred, Catalina Conclave #1 officiating.

HURCOMBE, Emerson G., 75, died August 2, 1995. Husband of Esther Hurcombe; father of Cheryl Martin of MA, Linda Smith of OR and Paul Emerson Hurcombe of MA; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive. No services are planned at this time. Arrangements by BRING'S MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 236 S. Scott.

JENKINS, Joe, died August 2, 1995. The best dad in the world is home with our Lord, Jesus Christ. He is remembered by wife, Narice; children, Joan Jenkins, Christy McKnight, Shan and Helen Jenkins, Kit Jenkins, Timothy and Linda Jenkins, Joel and Adella Jenkins; grandchildren, David Jones, Donna Ricketson, Taylor Jenkins, Amber Jenkins, April Jenkins, Zachary Jenkins, Rachel Jenkins, John Jenkins; great grandchild, Alauna Ricketson; and brother, James. Joe served as a special education teacher in District 1 at Howenstine, Cholla, Sahauro and Catalina High Schools. He served in several ministries at Palo Verde Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, gifts to Palo Verde Christian School would be appreciated. We'll see you in the morning.

JOHNSON, William L., 88, of Tucson, entered into rest on Tuesday, August 1, 1995. He is survived by his beloved wife, Ann Perney Johnson; dear father of Patricia Grombly of Elgin, AZ, William, Jr. of Scottsdale, AZ, Marian Strittmatter of Westlake, OH; brother of Helen Hercl of Shaker Hts., OH; dear grandfather of James Grombly of CA, Michael, Richard, Donald, and Steve Grombly, Therese Naegle, Kristin and Kimberly Johnson, all of AZ; ten great grandchildren also survive. Mr. Johnson was a long time member of the Knights of Columbus, Newburgh Council of Cleveland, OH. Memorial Mass 9:00 a.m. Friday, August 4, 1995 at St. Francis De Sales Church, 1375 S. Camino Seco. LEBO, Pierre Rene, age 64, of Tucson, died August 1, 1995 at Veterans Memorial Hospital. He was born on October 7, 1930 in Medora, ND and resided there until he joined the United States Air Force in 1951. He retired in 1974 with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant and worked up until his death, specializing in communications under military contracts. He was a member of the Elks Tucson East Lodge #2532. He is survived and sadly missed by his wife, Beryl Lebo; children, Carolyn, Gary, Sheree; and two grandchildren, Amy and Justin; sisters, Joan Cleveland, Alice Garrison; and brother, Jerome Lebo. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Alice Lebo, brother, Paul; sister Irma Osborn and grandson, Pierre Rene II. Pierre enjoyed working with his hands and created beautiful and unique wood furnishings. A memorial service will be held at St. Matthews Episcopal Church, 9071 Old Spanish Trail, on August 5, 1995 at 10:30 a.m. Family would be grateful if contributions in lieu of flowers were sent in Pierre's memory to the Veterans Memorial Hospice Unit, 3601 S. 6th Ave, Tucson, AZ 85723. The family takes great comfort in knowing that he is safe in the arms of the Lord. The family is grateful for the support and care give by the staff and volunteers at the Veterans Memorial Hospice Unit.

POWELL, Allie (Jack), 60 years old of Tucson, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 1995. He is survived by daughter, Donna Powell of Tucson; son, Cornell Powell of Tucson; brother, Vernon Studifield of Tucson; six grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Mr. Powell was a retired employee from Hughes Missile System. Funeral Service will be held Friday, August 4, 1995 at 9:00 a.m. at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY CHAPEL. Rev. EHRENSBERGER, Dorothy B., 74 years old, died Monday, July 31, 1995. She is survived by daughter, Diane (Sam) C. Hanson of Tucson and daughter, Linda Cannon of CA; sister, Carol Fogarty of CA; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held in the afternoon of August 19th at and by Casas Adobes Baptist Church. Arranged by SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY.

GRAMMER, Glenn, 78, died July 31, 1995 in Tucson. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte; sons, Donald, Richard, Warren; daughters, Donna, Glennita, Charlene; sister, LaVerne; brother, Alton; 13 grandchildren; five great grandchildren. Mr. Grammer was a long time member of the Old Time Fiddlers Association. Services for Mr. Grammer will be held Thursday, August 3, at Faith Assembly of God Church at 10:00 a.m., 335 E. Elvado. Friends may call from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 2 at WOLFREY PEACE CHAPEL, 5225 E. Speedway, 881-0338. Private burial will be held.
