BISHOP, Charles H. 'Chuck', 65, passed away August 10, 1995, to be with those loved ones and friends who preceded him in death. Chuck was the beloved husband of Marie 'Dot'; father of, Mark, Lauren, and Scott; father-in-law of, Sue, Ken and Tina; grandfather of, Steve, Terra and Jake; brother of, William; uncle of many nieces and nephews. Born in Buffalo, N.Y., on September 27, 1929, Chuck graduated from the University of New York at Buffalo. He was a 1st Lieutenant and jet fighter pilot in the U.S. Marine Corp. during the Korean Conflict. Chuck and his family moved to Tucson in 1970. He was employed by Hughes Aircraft Co. as a procurement Manager, and at the time of his retirement in 1989, he was manager of the International Off-Set Program. Chuck was a loving and devoted family man, had a terrific sense of humor, and loved the desert. His honesty and integrity were beyond reproach, and he was respected and admired by everyone who knew him. We will all miss him dearly. We love you and will never stop thinking about you. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 14, 1995 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. Northern Ave. at Magee. CODDINGTON, Rosalena L., 83 years old, died Saturday, August 12, 1995 at home. Her husband preceded her in death. Survived by son, Elroy J. (Miyo) Coddington of Tucson. She, and her husband worked as accountants, private tax consultants. She was a member of the American Society of Women Accountants. Mrs. Coddington was Chairman, Director, Bulletin of Tucson Chapter 1964-65. Private interment by South Lawn Mortuary.

DICKS, Rita Townsend, 89 years old, died of Leukemia on Saturday, August 12, 1995. Born Frieda Christina Schrumpf, she married Howard Townsend. She graduated from the University of Nebraska. After her divorce from Howard she became a professional entertainer and organist and played at large hotels in the East. Wallace Dicks became her husband in 1957. Throughout her life, Rita remained very close to her younger sister, Una Johanna (Foy) Cross of CO. Survivors also include two nephews; five grand-nephews and a niece; four great-grand nieces and nephew. Private Services arranged by South Lawn Mortuary.

NEIL, Robert J., 75, died Saturday, August 12, 1995. Survived by his wife of 52 years, Lucy; and sons, Jim (Jan) Neil, Tom (Trudi) Neil, and John C. (Peggy) Neil, all of Tucson; six grandchildren, Teresa (Jim) Nowak, J.J. Neil, Lee and Jason Neil, and Stephanie and Rachel Neil; one great-grandson, James Nowak III. Mr. Neil is also survived by a sister, Mary Lou (Hadley) Brown of Hinsdale, NY; sisters-in-law, Marjorie Ingham and Dorothy Gundlach of Westfield, NY; brothers-in-law, Walter and Dick Woods of New York State. A lifetime educator, Mr. Neil was a 1942 graduate of New York State Teachers College at Fredonia, and received his Masters Degree from the University of Arizona. He taught instrumental music in Lockport, New York 18 years, moving to Tucson in 1963. He was a teacher in T.U.S.D. schools until retirement in 1982. R.J. was an avid bowler, he worked with many seniors and youth groups over the years as a bowling instructor. He and son Jim won the doubles in the City tournament in 1979. A veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp, 4th division, he served as a platoon leader in two South Pacific invasions from 1942-1945 and was discharged as 1st Lt. February 1945. He was a member of the Christ Church United Methodist Church, and BPO Elks Lodge 385. He played for many years in the Beavers Band Box Band. Mrs. Neil and family will receive friends Monday evening, August 14th at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. (at Speedway), from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at Christ Church United Methodist Church, 655 N. REID, Margaret T., 87, passed away August 12, 1995. Mrs. Reid was preceded in death by her husband, Lee F. Reid. Survived by sister, Louise Biggin of Warren, OH. Aunt Peg had no children, but she claimed as her own, her nieces and nephews, Dale (Margaret) Tate, Shirley (Joseph) Bruzina, Norma (Walter) Jankowski, Erma (Fred) Hanold, Elizabeth (Ronald) Boyd, Barbara (Jack) Rogers, Richard (Patricia) Tate, Margaret (Elmer) Kassay and James (Gayle) Shafer; many loving great and great-great nieces and nephews also survive.
