Survived by her sons, Monte (Karen) Colvin and Thomas (Linda) Colvin; grandchildren, Matthew and Robert Colvin, Rhonda Colvin Wheeler and Teri Crawford of Newport News, VA; five great-grandchildren; sister, Marie Shorter. COWLEY, Robert Howard, 37, of Tucson, passed away May 3, 1995. JOHNSON, Hazel Marie, (nee Hamilton) 88, a resident of Tucson since 1958, died at home May 3, 1995, after a long illness. Born March 28, 1907, in Iowa Falls, IA., she graduated from Iowa State University and taught home economics in Cooper and Nevada, IA., high schools, then enrolled in Northwestern University School of Nursing until illness forced her withdrawal before completion. married March 12, 1935, in Adel, IA. Survived by husband, Kermit F. Johnson; son, K. Bryce Johnson and his wife, Rita, of Danville, CA; daughter, Mary F. Johnson of Anchorage; granddaughters, Kiki Johnson, of San Francisco, and Angela Johnson of Anchorage; grandsons, Stephan Johnson of Madison, WI., and Mark Johnson of Fresno, CA., and great grandsons, Evan and Brett Johnson of Fresno. She was active in Tucson Chapter AN of PEO, the Women's Association and Anna Circle of Trinity Presbyterian Church and many bridge clubs. There will be no services. Interment in the Johnson family plot, Nevada (IA.) Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Trinity Presbyterian Church in Mrs. Johnson's name. PEREZ, Maria F., Our beloved matriarch entered into eternal rest on May 2, 1995. She was born in Hermosillo, Mexico on August 15, 1903 and came to live in Tucson with her husband Francisco Perez in 1918. She was preceded in death by 'Tata' Perez and her daughters, Mary (Gilbert) Espino, Lupe (Henry) Corrales, Concepcion (Joe) Morelos and Evelina (Raul) Montano. She is survived by her daughters, Rosa (Oscar) Corral, Gloria (Sam) Acevedo and Viola (Carlos) Mazon. She is also survived by her sons, Francisco, Jose and Ricardo Perez. 'Grande' Perez is survived by 51 grandchildren, 111 great-grandchildren and 42 great-great-grandchildren. There are also numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 7, 1995 from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. at TUCSON MORTUARY, (South Chapel), 240 S. Stone Ave. with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass in her honor will be celebrated on Monday, 9:00 a.m. at St. Augustine's Cathedral. Interment will follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. BARCUS, Mae ('Me-ma'), 99, died May 1, 1995 in Tucson, AZ. She was born Maggie Mae Noeller on October 30, 1895 in Richmond, MO., the third of nine children of Frederick David Noeller and Jessie Mae Watterman. In 1915 she married Lonnie Forest Barcus and they sought their fortune first in Detroit, MI., where he worked in the new Ford Motorcar Plant, and later in Colorado, Wyoming, Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas and Missouri. When Lonnies's health failed during the 1940's they moved to the drier climate of Tucson where he died in 1951. Mae stayed as a permanent resident of Tucson where she worked as a housekeeper to make ends meet. She lived with her daughters' families until 1986 when at the age of 91 she purchased her own mobile home in Carousel Ranch Park on Flowing Wells Road. There she lived until about a month ago when at age 99 she became ill for the first time in her life. She died quietly in her sleep, mentally sharp until the end. She is survived by her daughters, Mae Olden Davison, Dorothy (L.W.) Perkins, and Bobbie Binder, all of Tucson; her brother, Clarence Noeller of Augusta, KS; her grandchildren, Valerie Davison, Warren Brent Davison, Cindy Abrams, all of Tucson; Terry Perkins and Sandy Hartin of Kansas City, Janine Hernbrode of Denver, and Pamela Oliver of Southlake, TX; great grandchildren in the Tucson area are, Joy Hernbrode, Erica and Richard Klein, and Danica and Patrice Davison. Other great grandchildren are, Brian and Christine Perkins, Bret and Samantha Hartin, all of Kansas City, and Aaron Leininger of Louisville, KY; one great great-grandchild, Shelby Perkins of Kansas City. CULBERTSON, Ruth Harvey, of Tucson, died May 1, 1995 at the age of 89. Originally from Kennett Square, PA. Ruth moved to Tucson with her husband, Ivan Culbertson, Sr., in 1946. She was pre-deceased by her husband and son, Ivan Culbertson, Jr. Ruth is survived by one daughter, Patricia C. Thompson; five grandchildren, Ivan Culbertson III, Davisson Culbertson, Robert Culbertson, Richard M. Thompson, Jr., Victoria Thompson Torrilhon and one great grandchild, Graham Culbertson; and her daughter-in-law, Carol D. Culbertson. There will be no public services. KNIGHT, Arno Warren, 71, of Tucson, formerly of Lincolnville, ME, passed into Jehovah God's loving care on April 29, 1995. Born on April 14, 1924 to Lucy Warren and Arne E. Knight of Lincolnville, ME. Beloved husband of Jane Knight; and adored father of sons, Bradford, Wayne, Dale, Roger, Ronald, Stacy and daughters, Brenda, Nikki and Laurel; cherished grandfather of 21 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Also survived by one brother, Gilbert Knight of Lincolnville, ME; a sister, Geneva Marston of Camden, ME; and a maternal aunt, Margaretta Thurlow of Lincolnville, ME. Mr. Knight was a member of Plumbers and Steamfitters Local #741 and was a pipefitter/welder by trade, traveling extensively from Maine to California over the years. He assisted in building 102 Naval Destroyers at Bath Iron Works during WWII and he also worked on the nations first nuclear power plant at Maine-Yankee Atomic Power Plant in Wiscassett, ME. He relocated his family to Arizona from Maine in 1973 and promptly fell in love the Southwestern desert climate. He was an avid gardener, and enjoyed tending his roses and fruit trees and keeping his lawn green year round. His other love was mechanics and he could always be found with his head under the hood of an automobile. His tender manner with children was well-known and each child that came into his life held a special place in his heart. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 6, 1995, at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N.
