QUINTO, Henry, 76, of Tucson, passed away May 19, 1995. He was the deeply loved husband of Marilyn; the cherished father of David and Elizabeth; the father-in-law of James Stamp; and the grandfather of Gareth, Emma and Carys Stamp. During WWII, Mr. Quinto served as a Lt. Commander in the U.S. Navy. His subsequent career in retailing was culminated as President of Levy's (department store). He also found satisfaction in devoting himself to community activities and teaching business courses at the U of A and the University of Phoenix. A public memorial service will be held Thursday, May 25, 1995 at 4:30 p.m. in the Courtyard of the Tucson Museum of Art, located at 140 N. Main Avenue. The family would be pleased if, in lieu of sending flowers, memorial gifts were made to the Henry Quinto Early Learning Center of the Tucson Urban League, 2305 S. Park Avenue; the U of A Heart Center, 1501 N. Campbell Avenue; Planned Parenthood, 127 S. 5th Avenue; the American Diabetes Association, Tucson Chapter, 40 N. Swan Rd.; or other favorite charities.
ROBINSON, Craig, 28, of Tucson, died May 17, 1995. Survived by loving parents, Lu and Carolyn Robinson; brother, Kyle; sister, Kristin (Rob) Lund; niece, Amanda, all of Tucson; grandmother, Vada Robinson of Maryland; and numerous loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Craig touched many peoples lives in a very special way. He will be greatly missed. Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, May 24 at 6:30 p.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 7651 E. SNOW, Howard B., 84, passed away at his home May 17, 1995. Born December 20, 1910 to Frank E. and Annie P. Snow. He was raised and attended school in the town of Marblehead, MA where his family had lived for several generations. He graduated from Wenthworth Institute as a master electrician and worked for many years at Sylvania in Danvers, MA before moving with his family to Tucson in 1957. He was employed by the City of Tucson from 1962 as an Electrical Inspector until his retirement in 1973. He was proceeded in death by his parents and a brother, Frank B. Snow. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Isabelle; daughters, Carol (Frank) Cain, Phyllis Lim, Wendy (Mike) Lee; sons, Samuel (Margaret) Snow, and Howard B. (Diane) Snow, Jr.; sister, Louise Lynch; brother, Edwin Snow; sister-in-law, Corinne Snow; 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Philanthropic Lodge (Marblehead); Scottish Rite of Free Masonry, USA; Sabbar Temple, AAONMS of Tucson; and the Massachusetts Society of Mayflower Descendants. Forever a part of our lives is the love he shared with us and the strong family values and heritage we grew to appreciate through the years. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends. A celebration of his life will be held for family and friends on Father's Day, June 18, 1995. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to St. Mary's Carondelet Hospice, 1802 W. ARREOLA, Rachel A., 74, of Tucson, passed away May 19, 1995. Preceded in death by sister, Delia Aguirre. Survived by husband, Henry V. Also survived by numerous beloved nieces and nephews. Rachel touched the lives of many people through her work as a Community Nutrition Aid for the U of A Cooperative Extension Service. PRENTISS, Leslie Howard Jr., 71, of Tucson, died May 20, 1995. Survivors include wife, Helen; daughter, Martha Brean (George) of Tucson; son, Leslie Prentiss, III of Tucson; sisters, Elsie F. Jensen (George) of Los Altos, CA., Theresa Felgar (Robert) of Tucson, and Virginia F. Grzybowski (Edward) of Tucson; brother, Charles B. Prentiss (Barbara) of Phoenix; three grandchildren; one great-granddaughter. Mr. Prentiss was born in Tucson June 3, 1923. He was a teacher and principal with the public schools for 32 years. He was principal of Mary Lynn Elementary School and also very active with the American Red Cross Blood Donor Program. Funeral Services will be at Grace St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 2331 E. SHEA, Barbara M., 64 years old, died Saturday, May 20, 1995 in Tucson, leaving beloved husband, William of 43 years; son, William (Peggy) Shea of Belmont, CA., and Steven (Edna) Shea of Omaha, NE; two daughters, Nancy Shea-Lenz of Tucson, and Patricia Shea of Peoria, AZ; two grandsons; one granddaughter; two brothers, John (Ann) and Carl (Marilyn) Madsen. YOUNGBLOOD, Beatrice Louise Owens, 77, born May 1, 1918 in Lockesburg, AR and a resident of Tucson since 1959, died Friday, May 19, 1995 after a lengthy illness. Beloved mother of, Alan Youngblood and Carolyne (Michael) Reed; loving grandmother to Jared Ricci, Theresa and Richard Youngblood, and Norma Jean King; devoted sister of, Ruth Hansen of Omaha, NE., Margaret Leech of Meridian, MS., Jane Cheatam of Jefferson, TX., Dorothy Russell of Magnolia, AR., Polly Crisp of DeQueen, AR., and Rufus Owens of Lockesburg, AR. She leaves many nieces and nephews as well. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Youngblood. During World War II she was employed by McDonnell-Douglas in a secured-level position. Because of her pre-med education she became a surgical nurse. After moving to Tucson she became a cosmetology instructor and later owned and operated American Beauty College. She served on the State Board of Cosmetology. Her pride and enjoyment in her community led her to contribute to many local charities and organizations. She will be remembered by family and friends for the twinkle in her blue eyes, a most valiant and vibrant spirit, many words of kindness and encouragement and a quiet strength and courage. She taught and guided many of us. Her faith inspired us. A memorial service celebrating this beautiful life and spirit will be held at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. GERHARDT, Helen Priscilla (Sally), 82, of Tucson, passed away May 17, 1995. Sally is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Hubert D. Gerhardt; son, Tom (Margaret) Gerhardt; daughter, Janice Gerhardt, all of Tucson; sister, Mary Sattley; brothers, Charles (Arlene) Sattley and Richard (Rosalie) Sattley, of Decatur, IL. She is also survived by four granddaughters; one grandson; six great-grandchildren; two nephews; two nieces; and several great-nieces and nephews. Sally retired from Hughes Aircraft Company in 1976 after 22 years of service, and remained a lifetime member of the I.A.M.A.W. Local Lodge #933.
