LUSTECK, Mary F., 90, of Tucson, passed away June 8, 1995. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. Lusteck. She is survived by sons, Ronald J. Lusteck of Tucson, Joseph A. Lusteck Jr. of Jackson, MS; four grandchildren; sister, Alice Smart of NY. Long time member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Friends may call Sunday June 11 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, 2545 N. Tucson Blvd., (1 1/2 blocks of North Grant.) Rosary Service will be at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 12, 9:00 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Fr. Charles Knapp officiating. MAHACEK, Dorothy A., 87, of Tucson, died June 7, 1995. Dorothy was a retired secretary at T.U.S.D. Survived by daughter, Judith (John) Keegan; granddaughter, Debra LaVergne; grandson, Michael Stuart. Private inurnment service will be held at East Lawn Palms Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Broadway Christian Church, 4741 E. Broadway, Tucson, AZ 85711. Arrangements by EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY.

MORRISON, S. Eugene (Gene), 71, died June 4, 1995 of ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease). Survived by wife, Anna Lee; daughters, Patt Morrison (Jim Blair) of Los Angeles, CA, Maureen and son, Chris, both of Tucson; brothers, William of Lancaster, OH and Elmer of Newark, OH. Gene was a journeyman lineman and had been employed by Tucson Electric Power Co. for 27 years, retiring in 1990. During World World War II, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving for three years in the south Pacific as a Gunner's Mate on the destroyer Allen M. Sumner. Gene was a 50 year member of Licking Lodge F.andA.M. #291 in Utica, OH and was a former deacon of the Utica Presbyterian Church. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hiking, hunting and fishing. He was also fond of Las Vegas, Laughlin and the slot machines in Tucson. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., on Sunday, June 11, 1995, in the chapel of EVERGREEN MORTUARY and CEMETERY, N. Oracle and W. Miracle Mile, with Dr. Andrew G. Ross of Northminster Presbyterian Church officiating and military honors by DMAFB Honor Guard. Interment will be private. The family suggests that donations be made to ALSA, 1601 W. St. Mary's Rd., or the the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

VITTON, John Anthony, 84, of Tucson, died June 8, 1995. He completed a course in Automotive Engineering at General Motors Technical School and retired from GM after 38 years. He is survived by wife, Mildred Vitton; son, John James Vitton; grandchildren, David Vitton, all of Tucson, Denise Hartline of California City, CA; four great grandchildren; one great great grandchild. Memorial Service Tuesday, 2:00 p.m. Green Meadows Park (Clubhouse), 1135 W. Prince Rd. Memorial contributions may be made to the Arizona Boys Ranch, Arizona 85242, Attn: Development in Memory of John A. Vitton, Arrangements by EVERGREEN MORTUARY and CEMETERY.

DERBY, Philip N., 78, died at home June 6, 1995. He was born in Burlington, IA where he managed Derby Coal Company. Philip attended Iowa State University. In 1954 he moved to Tucson with his family, and was involved in real estate sales prior to becoming Property and Right-Away Manager for the City of Tucson until his retirement. He was a life member of the Elks Lodge. married 56 years, he is survived by his wife, Mildred Gulick Derby; his son, Newton B. Derby (Violet) of Houston, TX; his daughter, Lynn Derby Helmke (David) of Glendale, AZ; his four grandchildren, Matthew Helmke (Heather) of Flagstaff, AZ., Caroline, Laura and Ellen Derby of Houston; and his sister-in-law, Marie Gulick Esau of Tucson. Services will be held Monday, June 12th, 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Casas Adobes Congregational Church. Memorial Contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice. Arrangements by BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.

HOGNER, Frances, 88, of Tucson, died June 7, 1995. Survivors include half-sister, June Boone of Sherwood, OR; nephew, Jim Massoglia of Tucson; niece, Mikel J. Shilling of Green Valley; three grandnieces, Lt. Suzanne Lyon, USN San Diego, CA, Teresa Mason of Tucson, Layne Shilling of San Diego; great nephew, Jeff Shilling of Gaithersberg, MD. There will be no services. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. (at Speedway).

NEASHAM, Leo B., 86, passed away suddenly June 4, 1995 in Tucson. Survivors are his wife, Winifred; sons, Fred, Richard and Jack Neasham; daughter, Maryann; two sisters; 12 grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. Burial will be in Nevada, IA on June 12th.

VAN GORP, CDR Dymphna P.A.M. USN Ret., 84, passed away June 6, 1995. Born in Appleton, WI. Graduated from Marquette Nursing School in 1940. Was a public health nurse before joining the Navy in January 1943. Promptly assigned to the Army to learn the Air Force evacuation methods; in 1944 was qualified as a flight nurse. As Lt. Van Gorp was sent to Rio de Janeiro to teach the nurses of the Brazilian Air Force. Next came flight duty in the US, Newfoundland, and Panama and then in the Pacific Area, which included trips into China in 1948 and 1949. In the Korean Conflict she became well acquainted with the Islands along the routes to and from Japan, the Philippines and traveled into Thailand, India and Saudi Arabia. CDR Van Gorp's final assignment was director of nursing at St. Alban's Naval Hospital, Long Island, NY. CDR Van Gorp received the Commendation Ribbon-AM. Campaign – WWII Victory Medal; National Defense Service Medal with Bronze Star; Navy Occupation – Korean Service – United Nation's Medal. CDR Van Gorp is survived by sister-in-law, Ruth Van Gorp (Clarence), Canton, OH; nieces, Antoinette Riley, Hampton, VA., Jill J. Van Gorp, Waynesburg, KY., Michele Miles, Waynesburg, KY., Alene L. Van Gorp, Hurst, TX., Cheri Gum, Massillon, OH., Rene Vance, Massillon, OH; one nephew, Harry Van Gorp, Whitney, TX and many great nieces and nephews; plus cousins and friends. Memorial Service will be held Monday, June 12, 1995 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, Green Valley, AZ. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. (at Speedway).

BECKHAM, Eva Julia, 62 years old died, Wednesday, June 7, 1995. She was an area resident for 36 years. She was a Tucson Medical Center employee for 18 years. Survivors include daughter, Mary Esther (Gerald) Mitchell of CA; son, Randy L. (Amy J.) Loughner; son, Calvin L. Beckham; son, David A. Beckham; brother, LeRoy (Eileen) Knopf; brother, Ronnie Barber; sister, Clara (Frank) Collins, all from Tucson; sister, Hedy (Leon) Teal of CA; 12 grandchildren; one great grandchild. Services will be at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5401 S. Park Ave., on Friday, June 9, 1995 at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will start at 11:00 a.m.

DUNSTAN, Weldon C., 86, of Tucson, died June 6, 1995. Mr. Dunstan is a retired employee of Hughes. Friends may call Thursday, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY, 5801 E. KING, Homer Isaac, 89 years old, went home to rest June 6, 1995. He is survived by wife, Avis of Tucson; daughter, Dortha (Larry) Sennings of Arivaca; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren. Mr. King was a long time member of 1st Baptist Church. He worked 24 years at DMAFB. Service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 9, 1995 at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5401 S. Park Ave., with visitation one hour prior.

LUDWIG, Zoya W., 70, of Tucson, died Tuesday, June 6, 1995. Survived by her husband, Edward; children, Nancy May (Dennis) Cody, Raymond E. (Lisa) Ludwig, Patricia Ann (Dom) Barbuto, Brian K. (Mei-Chu) Ludwig; sister, Ramona Daugherty; brother, Merle Pigg; and six grandchildren. Mrs. Ludwig was a WWII U.S. Army Air Force Veteran. Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 9, 1995 at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd. Interment will follow at East Lawn Palms Cemetery.

McSPADDEN, Doris M. (Brenda), 67, passed away June 6, 1995. Wife of, Tom McSpadden; mother of, Robert Bergen of Prescott; sister, of Genevie Lindamood of CA. No services will be held at this time. Arrangements by BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.

BERSU, Camilla, born May 31, 1894 in Berlin, Germany, died June 5, 1995 at Tucson Medical Center. Predeceased by her parents and her brother, she is survived by two cousins in Jerusalem, Rolf Kneller and Samuel Kneller and their families and cousins Oliver and Miriam Steinitz of Berlin, Germany. Camilla was a nurse in World War I. Later she went into dancing and yoga, maintaining her own studio in Berlin. After several close encounters when the Nazi's rose to power in Germany, Camilla fled to Vienna and then to Shanghai, China before coming to America and Tucson in 1947. Until she was 98 she taught Yoga for healthier living to hundreds of persons. Many of these people testify, to this day, of their gratitude and appreciation to Camilla for her help in restoring their health and well being. Camilla received numerous awards and recognition including the Jefferson Award. Funeral services will be held at EVERGREEN MORTUARY and CEMETERY, 3015 N. Oracle Rd., June 8, Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Rabbi Bilgray will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Arizona Opera or Temple Emanu-El.

FEDERICO, Guadalupe Villa, a lifetime resident of Tucson, passed away June 4, 1995 at the age of 82. Pre-deceased by her daughter, Mary Morales. Survived by her sons, Henry (Dolores) Parra and Gilbert (Donna) Sandoval; 15 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren;; one great great grandchild; brother, Florencio (Mary) Villa; sisters, Antonia Villa and Pauline (Jose) Mendoza. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 7, 1995 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY, 5401 S. Park Ave. Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. at St. Augustine Cathedral. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery.

FREY, Isabel 'Betty', passed away June 4, 1995. Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 7 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church. Funeral Services 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 8 at St. Ambrose Church. Graveside Services immediately following at South Lawn Cemetery. Betty was born October 9, 1923 in Copper Creek, Arizona. Survivors include seven children, Larry, Jerry, David, Chuck, Patrick, Doris and Chris; 15 grandchildren and her sister, Alice.

HERMAN, Betty Jane, 77, of Tucson, died June 5, 1995. Survivors include daughter, Martha (Ron) Lauback of Tucson; two nephews, Ken and Michael (Marjorie) Weiss. Preceded in death by her sister, Frances Weiss and her parents, Sigmund and Helen Seitner. Betty was proud of her volunteer work at Handmaker Jewish Service for the aging and El Dorado Hospital. She was actively employed at Little Beavers School as a dance instructor up until last August. Friends may call at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. (at Speedway) from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 7, 1995. Graveside Services will be at East Lawn Cemetery 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 8, 1995 with Rabbi Thomas Louchheim officiating. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. (at Speedway).

LELO, Dolly A. Sandecki, 74, mother and homemaker, died June 4, 1995. Mother of, Gregory R. Lelo of Tucson and Gayle (Frank) Bower of Laguna Beach, CA; grandmother of, David, Adam and Molly Bower. Preceded in death by granddaughter, Nicole. Rosary will be recited 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 8 at BRING'S MEMORIAL CHAPEL. Mass will be offered 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 9, at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, 1800 S. Kolb Rd. Burial in Our Lady of the Desert Cemetery.
