MENKVELD, Gerald B. 'Jerry', 66 years old of Tucson, passed away June 11, 1995 Sunday. He was born in Grand Rapids, MI., has been a resident of Tucson since 1957. Jerry was a retired building contractor. He served in the U.S. Army and was a Veteran of the Korean War. He is survived by his wife, Marcella; son, Paul G. (Laurie); daughter, Marlene S.; grandson, John Paul, all of Tucson; also his parents, John and Kate Menkveld; two brothers, Gordon J. and Robert K., all of Grand Rapids, MI.; and numerous nieces and nephews. HALPER, Irma E., 83, of Tucson, passed away June 14, 1995. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Halper. She is the beloved mother of, Stephen (Jean) Halper of Benson, AZ., Carol E. (Robert) Perry of Tucson. She is also survived by grandchildren, Andrew S. and Julianna Halper, Robert Perry Jr., Nancy Sharpless and Steven Perry; seven great grandchildren. She was the Secretary of the Tucson Rodeo Committee for 10 years, member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church Choir for over 40 years, and a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Clinic Auxiliary. HART, Edward A. Jr., age 74, of Tucson, died Thursday, June 8, 1995. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Betty; three sons, Richard of Phoenix, Gregory (Evelyn) of San Antonio, and Bruce of Tucson; four grandchildren, Jeremy, Colin, Craig and Sara; two sisters, Helen Cook of Grand Junction, CO., and Virginia Earnest of Glenwood Springs, CO. Edward served in the U.S. Army during WWII as a Warrant Officer. He retired in 1985 after 32 years of service at St. Marys Hospital. Mr. Hart's affiliations include The American Academy of Medical Administrators, AZ Hospital Assoc., AZ Mental Health Assoc., Hospital Financial Mgrs. Assoc., V.F.W., The Elks, The American Legion, The U.A. Alumni Assoc, and was listed in Who's Who, 1980-1981. LUFCY, Carl, 68, died peacefully at home surrounded by love on Saturday, June 10, 1995. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Renata; daughters, Nadia Landreth of Dallas, TX, Marcella Richter of Overland Park, KS, Carla O'Leary of Tucson, AZ; grandchildren, Robin, Melissa, Kelley, Deirdre and Steven; brothers, Bill Lufcy of Woppapello, MO, Everett Lufcy of Augsberg, Germany, Walter Lufcy of Arlington, TN; sisters, Hazel Lorberg and Erthel Keesee of Cape Girardeau, MO. It has been a blessing to know and love this gentle, beautiful, brave man, and he will always be treasured and missed.
