Survived by wife, Debbie; daughters, Kelley and Megan; parents, Charlie and Anne of Tucson; brothers, Joe (Sue), Brad and Dave (Kathryn), all of Tucson; sister, Chris (Terry) Oberg, Santa Monica, CA; 11 nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial Service 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 24, at Casa Adobes Baptist Church, 2131 W. Ina Rd. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until service time. BERTSCHY, Robert Lee, 17, beloved son of Kenneth and Carolyn Bertschy, died June 16, 1995. Beloved brother of Ronald Bertschy; devoted grandson of Claire Weeks of Tucson, and Reuben and Johnnie Bertschy of TX. Robert was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Joseph Weeks. He gave his family the happiest 17 years of their lives. He was dearly loved and will be dearly remembered. HEIDT, Jennie W., 91, passed on to join her husband, Leonard on June 15, 1995. She was born Jennie W. Riddle in Curwensville, Pennsylvania, on April 18, 1904. She will be missed by her large family, son, Bruce in Calif., sons, Richard and Jonas; and daughter, Emma Lou Grimes of Tucson; and son, David of Texas; 21 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren. She also has numerous friends and relatives in Penn. She will be buried next to Leonard at South Lawn.
KNAPMAN, George Edward, born September 6, 1916 in Detroit, MI., died June 17, 1995 at Tucson, AZ. George's 53 year marriage to Ione Rosenbrock began on February 19, 1938 in IN. He is survived by his son, Larry (Ruth) of Fairbanks, AK; and daughter, Lee (Elmo) Fairchild of Parker, AZ; and eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. George is also survived by his brothers, Jack (Patty) and Bill (Sharon) Knapman; and a sister, Greta (Alvin) Schultz, all of MI, and sister, Gladys Kight of AL, also sisters-in-law, Ilene (Hap) Kabler and Alice Rosenbrock, plus numerous nieces and nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, and his sisters, Dorothy Knapman and Kathryn Renner. George and Ione left Michigan for Tucson in 1940, where he began working as a dynamiter for the Bureau of Public Roads during road construction on Mt. Lemon. Most of his life was spent as owner fo his plastering/lathing business, a craft he learned from his father. George was a 10 year member of B.P.O.E. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
