THOMPSON, Margarita Marinez, a lifetime resident of Tucson, passed away March 16, 1995 at the age of 44. She worked at Pima Community College for 25 years. Survived by her husband, Alfonso Navarro; parents, Maria and Manuel Marinez; sister, Dolores Marinez; brothers, Francisco (Irma) Marinez and David (Gina) Marinez; sisters, Isabel (Willie) Figueroa and Salley (Frank) Alegria; nine nieces and nephews and many beloved friends. A Memorial Service will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 1995 at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY CHAPEL. Fr. Luis Villareal of St. Monica Catholic Church officiating. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to TMC Hospice, 5301 E. Grant Rd., Tucson AZ 85712.

CASTRILLO, Jerry M., 44, died March 12, 1995. Son of, Jerry Castrillo; brother of, Harold Castrillo of CA, Dale Castrillo of Tucson, Christina, Sheryl, Lori, and Michelle; grandson of, Elsie Emerson and Rejino Montes, both of Phoenix. Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 18, at BRING’S MEMORIAL CHAPEL, with Bishop Dean Abegg officiating. The family suggest donations to P.A.C.T. for Life, 801 W. Congress, Tucson, AZ 85746. Friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 17, at BRING’S MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 236 S. Scott.

EISENBERG, S. Harold, 3/14/1995, of Tucson, 76, died March 13, 1995. Survived by his wife, Shulamith, “Shullie’; sister, Ruth Rosenthal (Sandy); daughter, Sandee Brooke; sons, David (Pat), Paul (Chris) of Sunriver, Oregon, and Jake (Tzvia); 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren and many loving relatives and friends. Harold was born in New York City in 1919, moved to Miami Beach, Florida in 1935, and married Shullie in Miami in 1941. They moved to Tucson in April of 1943. Harold and Shullie were winners of the 1994 Jefferson Award for their lifetime of community service and numerous other honors for their civic involvement in the civil rights movement, desegregation of the public school system, and in working to create affordable and fair housing. Harold and Shullie together owned Windowcraft in Tucson for 45 years. A celebration of his life is being planned for this Spring. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, gifts of time or money be made to the charity of cause most important to the giver.

FRYE, Irene Lewis, 65, of Tucson, died March 15, 1995. Born December 4, 1929 in Portageville, MO, retired sales supervisor at Davis-Monthan A.F.F.E.E.S. Survived by daughters, Sharon Mullen, Tucson, Deborah Davis of Toledo, OH; sisters, Betty Keys of Jackson, MO, Polly Huffman of Ft. Worth, TX; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren. Services held Saturday, 1:00 p.m.

GLENN, Laura S., 75, passed away March 14, 1995. Mother of, R.S. Rusty Glenn Sr.; sister of, Louise Tudor, Lois Koehler and Joe Koogler; grandmother of, Rex Link Glenn, Laura Glenn, and Richard Glenn Jr.; great grandmother of, Taylor T. Glenn, Gabe (Poncho) Glenn, Amber Barker, and Blade Barker. Mrs. Glenn was a lifetime member of the National Cattlemens Association, Arizona Historical Society, and Cowbelle’s. Cryptside Service 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 17, 1995 at Cochise Garden of Rest, in Benson, AZ. Family requests donations to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 13126, Tucson, AZ 85732. Arrangements by BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.

GRUNER, Charles T., 84, of Tucson, died March 13, 1995. He was a retired mechanical engineer, GM and Clayton Environmental. Survived by wife, Mildred; sons, John (Cassie), and George Gruner; daughter, Jenean (Don) Thomson; brother, Maurice Gruner; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at Hudgel’s Swan Funeral Home, 1335 S. Swan on Saturday, March 18, 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. Burial at Evergreen Cemetery.

GUZMAN, Gabriel “Gabe’, 64, of Phoenix, AZ., passed away March 13, 1995. Beloved husband of Amelia Guzman. Also survived by brother, Pete Guzman; ten nieces; nine nephews; and eight God Children. Gabe was a dedicated and loving teacher for 30 years and retired from El Mirage School in 1992. He was a Cursillista and faithful servant of Christ. Gabe was an alumni of the University of Arizona. He was a member of St. Jerome’s, Knights of Columbus. He also was a veteran of U.S. Air Force. He will be sorely missed by his wife, family, friends, students and co-workers. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 17, 1995 from 9:00 a.m. until Mass time at TUCSON MORTUARY, (South Chapel), 240 S. Stone Ave., with Mass offered 10:30 a.m. at St. Augustine’s Cathedral. Interment will follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. Arrangements by TUCSON MORTUARY, INC.

PATTERSON, Otis James, 82, died Tuesday, March 14, 1995 in Tucson, Arizona. Survived by wife of 54 years, Ada B.; his sons, Alan and Jerry, both of Ohio; daughter, Sue Grover of Tucson; eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Mr. Patterson was the youngest of nine children, had been one of Jehovah’s Witnesses since 1948, and retired from Babcock and Wilcox Company after 33 1/2 years of service and moved to Tucson in 1976. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 18, 1995 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 7135 N. Leonardo De Vinci at Ina Road at 4:00 p.m. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. Northern Ave at Magee.

PROSPER, Lawrence F., 60 years old, died Wednesday, March 8, 1995 in Tucson. Survived by his wife, Mary Prosper of Tucson; children, Julie Anne Prosper, Paul Lawrence Prosper, both of Tucson, Peter Lawrence Prosper of San Diego, CA, Mary Anne Hernandez of Houston, TX; one grandson, Lawrence F. Prosper II of El Centro, CA. Mr. Prosper was a retired Navy Veteran of 27 years. Full Military Graveside services will be held Friday, March 17, 1995 at Our Lady of the Desert Cemetery, 2151 S. Avenida Los Rayes, Tucson at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements handled by WOLFREY PEACE CHAPEL, 5225 E. Speedway, 881-0338.

SIEGEL, Joseph, 79, passed away March 13, 1995. Husband of, Ruth Siegel; father of, Ronald (Jerri) Siegel and Gary Siegel, both of Tucson; brother of, Ruth Pomerace and Ceclia Cooper, both of FL; grandfather of, Marc, Kacey, and Joshua Siegel. Private Services will be conducted. Arrangements by BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.

CHESIN, Ruth Carol, a 43 year resident of Tucson, died of a serious respiratory infection on March 12, 1995 at the age of 63. She was born, raised and educated in New York. She was a Spanish Honors graduate of Brooklyn College and she earned a Masters Degree in Education from the University of Arizona. Ruth was a gifted teacher, loving mother, caring daughter, aunt, sister, grandmother and friend. Ruth was the Director of the Shanhouse Preschool at the Tucson Jewish Community Center from 1954-1975. She was a fashion consultant at Goldwaters in the late seventies and eighties. She loved international travel, fine fashion, good theatre, fine food, chocolate, jewelry and she loved to shop. Ms Chesin is survived by her mother, Anna Ginsberg of Tucson; sister, Betty (Merrill) Holpert; her children, Marc, Michael (Susan), Jeffrey, Tamara (Gary) Wolfe; and grandchildren, Bryan and Bari Chesin, Matthew and Daniel Chesin, Lauren and Daniel Wolfe. She is also survived by nephew, Peter Holbert; niece, Terry Holpert (Alan Stein); grandnephews, Benjy and David Stein. Services 3:00 p.m. Wednesday EVERGREEN MORTUARY with Rabbi Tom Louchheim officiating. Arrangements by EVERGREEN MORTUARY and CEMETERY, N. Oracle and W. Miracle Mile. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Jewish Community Center.

COTE, Julia Thorpe, 90, passed away on Monday, March 13, 1995 in her home at the Tanque Verde Ranch. She is survived by her son, Bob, also of the Tanque Verde Ranch, sons, J. Randy and Sam A. and daughter, Mary C. Boos, all of Minneapolis, MN; and son, Bo of Aspen, CO. Her large family consists of 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and a host of friends responding to her animated life. A Memorial Service will be held at the Tanque Verde Ranch at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, March 16, 1995. Arrangements by BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. broadway.

DANIEL, Neil, 73, of Tucson, died March 13, 1995. Survivors include: wife, Betty; son, Gregory (Barbara); daughter, Jacquelyn (Bart) Kemp; granddaughters, Robin and Renee Brown; grandson, Kenyon Daniel; great-granddaughter, Reana; sister-in-law, Joyce Sanford; cousins, Paddy and Peggy (Fred); and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Memorial Services will be held at Davis Monthan Base Chapel 3:30 p.m. Thursday, March 16 with Chaplain Luckett officiating. Arrangements entrusted to ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. DUDLEY, CMSGT Clinton Ray, U.S.A.F., ret., 73, of Tucson, died Sunday, March 12, 1995. Preceded in death by his son, Ronald W. Dudley. Survived by his wife, Margie; children, Barbara Jean (John) Bennett, Gerald Ray (Nan) Dudley; daughter-in-law, Phyliss Dudley; grandchildren, Shawn, Cathleen, Christy, Claire, Crystal, Robert; great-grandchildren, Cody, Jimmy, Lacy, Destinee, Nicole; sister, Helen (Robert) Knowles; twin brother, Roy C. (Ann) Dudley; sister-in-law, Alberta Dudley. After 30 and one-half years of service in the U. S. Air Force, Mr. Dudley retired in 1971 and worked as a Letter Carrier for the U. S. Postal Service until his final retirement in 1984. Funeral Service 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 16, 1995 at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd. EMBRY, Eloise M., 80, of Glendale, AZ, died Saturday, March 11, 1995 in Glendale. Survived by her sons, James D. Embry, Thomas L. Embry; sister, Helen L. Tisher; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Graveside Service 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 17, 1995 at East Lawn Palms Cemetery, 5801 E. Grant Rd. GUINUP, Dorothy L., 62, passed away March 10, 1995. Born March 15, 1932 in Kingfisher, OK. Survived by sons, Charlie (Kelly), Butch and Don (Ellen); and daughter, Martha (Greg) Wilson; eight grandchildren; three brothers and one sister also survive. Family will receive friends Thursday thru Saturday from 1:00 p.m. til 7:00 p.m. at her son’s residence. Dorothy was a great mom and will be missed by all.

HALL, Theresa Opal Dillon, 82, of Tucson, died March 13, 1995. Survivors include: Barbara Downey and Rebecca Sue Lanier of Tucson; Roslia Ann (Kermit) Burgess of Winfield, WV; and son, Carl Eugene Hall, Sr. of St. Albans, WV; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Elisha Hall and two daughters, Charlotte Downey and Garnette Trent. Funeral Services will be held at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. (at Speedway), at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 16, 1995 with Rev. Russell J. Marshall officiating. Interment will be at Cummingham Memorial Park, St. Albans, WV. Arrangements entrusted to ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. (at Speedway).
