JUNKERMANN, Raymond E., 74, of Tucson. Passed away March 16, 1995. Survived by daughters, Edna (Glen) Smith of MS, Patricia (Herb) Carter of WA, Connie (Brian) Lang of Tucson. Also survived by one sister and five brothers. And by eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 1995 from 8:00 a.m. to service time at TUCSON MORTUARY, (South Chapel), 240 S. Stone Ave. Services and military honors will be held at 1:00 p.m. Mr. Junkermann was an active member of the VFW Post #549 and Military Order of The Cooties. He also volunteered at the Tucson Veterans Hospital and The Marshall Home. Family suggest donations be made to The Marshall Home, 3314 S. 16th Ave. Arrangements by TUCSON MORTUARY, INC.

KUNTZ, Robert Devon, 74, of Tucson, passed away March 18, 1995. Survivors include his wife, Jane; son, Greg R. (Rebecca) Kuntz of Santa Ana, CA; daughter, Rebecca J. (Dennis) Kuhl of Atlanta, GA; and two grandchildren, Michael G. (Jennifer) Kuntz of Tucson and Kristina L. Kuntz of Phoenix. Memorial services will be held at Northminster Presbyterian Church, 2450 E. Ft. Lowell Rd, Tucson, AZ 85719, Tuesday, March 21, 1995 at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. Andrew G. Ross officiating. Mr. Kuntz was a member of Northminster for over 40 years and an active member of the choir. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Northminster Organ Fund. Arrangements by EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd.

MANUEL, Wade Joseph, Sr., 69, died March 18, 1995. He was born and raised in LA, moving to Tucson in 1966. He retired last year from KUAT Channel 6 in the Engineering Department after more than 20 years. He was an Oblate at the Benedictine Chapel and was a Eucharistic Minister at TMC every Sunday. Survived by wife, Glenna; sons, Wade, Jr., Peter, Andre and John; daughters, Michelle Johnson, Julie Anne Frazier and Mary Batson; grandchildren, Nicole and Ethan Wade Manuel, Candice, Alexandria, Peter Jr. and Nicholas Manuel, Katie, Andre J. Manuel, James Altamirano, Nathaniel Moeykens, Emily Frazier, Mary Elaina, Sarah, Matthew and Sean Batson. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, March 22, 1995 at 6:00 p.m. at St. Cyril’s Catholic Church, 4725 E. Pima. Rosary to be recited at 5:30 p.m. Friends may view from 4:30 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. at St. Cyril’s Church. Burial will be in Basile, LA. Contributions may be made to Casa De Los Ninos, 347 E. Speedway or Benedictine Convent, 800 N. Country Club Rd. EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY, in charge of arrangements.

MCCLELLAND, Amy Lynn (Kelsey), 24, passed away on the morning of March 15, 1995. She was born in Espanola, New Mexico on August 24, 1970. Amy is survived by her sisters, Jody Elizabeth, Karen Denise, Margaret Kay and Deborah Jean McClelland, Lee Ann Chamberlain; her brother, Andrew Christopher; her mother, Beth Luis-Nion; her father, Dalton Finley, Jr.; her grandmother, Mrs. Howard F. Shipps, and many many dear friends. Amy was a poet and a philosopher; she was humorous, gentle, silly, beautiful, wild and elegant. She loved to make people laugh; was a good listener, was generous, affectionate and graceful. A memorial service will be held at St. Francis in the Foothills at 2625 E. River Road on Wednesday, March 22 at 5:30 p.m. Flowers can be delivered there any time Wednesday. A memorial scholarship fund will be established in Amy’s name. MOORE, Lettie Dee, 86 years, of Tucson, passed Thursday, March 16, 1995. She is survived by grandchildren, Yolanda Diles of OK, Wayne Reed of Co, Carolyn Wilson and Marc Wilson of CA; great-grandchildren, Ty Smith of Tucson, Dawanna Smith and Jarmel Smith of CO, Leigh Diles of OK. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 22, 1995 at Prince Chapel A.M.E. Church, 602 S. Stone with Rev. C. Jesse Strong officiating. Burial will be at South Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY, 5401 S. Park Ave., on Tuesday, March 21 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association, 2221 N. Rosemont Blvd., Tucson, AZ 85716

TAYLOR, Lawrence S., 81, of Tucson, died March 18, 1995 at his home. He was born Middletown, NY. The son of Charles L. and Helen Smith Taylor. He was a grocery store manager and for 30 years owner of Larry’s Food Store in Warwick, NY, a volunteer for 40 years for the Excelsior Hose Co. #1, Warwick Fire Department. He received the unit’s commendation for service and dedication in 1980. He moved to Tucson in 1981 and was a coordinator for Mobile Meals actively participating until his death. He was an active member of Northminster Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Sarah Ada Wickham in 1987. He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Sara Ann and William Robert Kapfer; granddaughters, Sheri Ann Kapfer and Shelia Raye Kapfer-Yamanaka and her husband, Christopher; grandsons, William Robert Kapfer, Jr. and Lawrence Alan and his wife Lori Tapani and great-grandchildren, Jason and Joseph Kapfer, Sharyan Alcarez and Sierra Raye Yamanaka. Friends may call at BRING’S MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 236 S. Scott Ave. on Tuesday, March 21 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Burial will be Friday in Wallkill Cemetery, Warwick. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to Mobile Meals of Tucson, 155 W. Helen St, Tucson, AZ 85705.

THOMPSON, Richard L., 75, died February 12, 1995. Preceded in death by his son, Richard L. Thompson Jr., in Vietnam 1969. Survived by Barbara J. Thompson, friend. Graveside services will be held Thursday, March 23, 1995 at 10:00 a.m. PETLAND MEMORIAL PARK, 5720 E. Glenn St. Donations can be made to American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association, and or American Cancer Association.

VAN ORT, David P., D.D.S., Capt., Dental Corps, USNR, Ret., Naval War College, distinguished graduate. 69 of Tucson died Thursday March 16, 1995 in El Paso, TX. Survived by wife, Dr. Suzanne Van Ort of Tucson; brother, Robert L. Van Ort; sisters, Katherine Mary Barron and Dorothy Adams; father-in-law, Dr. Harold Rowe; brother-in-law, Dr. David Rowe and sister-in-law Debbie Hinde; nieces and nephews. Memorial Services will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday March 22, 1995 at EAST LAWN PALMS CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd. Dr. John Blackwell officiating. BOND, Gregory K., 40, of Tucson, died March 16, 1995. Father of, James Bond of Phoenix, AZ; son of, Arthur P. Bond of Tucson and Leoma of Safford, AZ; brother of, Mitch Bond of Tucson and Suzie Dafforth of Fremont, CA. KROUSE, Marjorie Smith, 87, a resident of Tucson, AZ, died March 16, 1995 at Community Hospice after a short illness. Born in Schenectady, NY., she was a former Schenectady Savings and Loan Association teller. She married George M. Krouse in 1960 and lived in Scotia, NY before moving to Tucson, AZ in 1969. Her husband died in 1991. She is survived by her niece, Jo-Ann Arnold, of Hampton, VI. A Memorial Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 21st, at the Casas Adobes Congregational Church, 6801 N. Oracle Rd. Tucson, AZ 85704, where she was a member. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to the church. Arrangements by SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY.

McCRAY, Betty Lee, 53, passed away March 17, 1995. Mother of, Lester; daughter of, Virginia Lowy of Tucson and Alden (Jack) N. Marks of MO; sister of, Mary Hurlocker of MN; half-sister of Sharon Marks of MO; step-mother of, Mike McCray of FL and Steve McCray of GA; grandmother of, Ashley Dupree, Zachery McCray, and Steven McCray. MILLER, Mildred R., 85, passed away March 15, 1995. Preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Miller. Mother of, Mary Ellen Sours of VA and Gerald Miller of Tucson; grandmother of, Richard Sours Jr. and Ronald Sours, both of VA and Freddy Miller and Johnny Miller, both of Tucson, and Holly Reed of TX; great grandmother of, Shauna, Jennifer, and Melessa Miller, all of Tucson, and Nicholous Reed of TX; sister of, Virginia Goeppel of OH; many friends also survive. She was a member of Tucson Church of the Brethren. Funeral Services, 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 20, 1995 at Tucson Church of the Brethren, 2200 N. Dodge Blvd., with Rev. James Daughtry officiating. MORTON, Gaylord V., 70, of Tucson, died March 16, 1995 after a lengthy struggle with heart disease. His survivors include his wife, Lois; two sons, Roger B. (Joyce) Morton of Montana, Gary V. (Diane) Morton of Wyoming; mother, Florence D. Morton of Wyoming; two brothers, Dorlyn H. Morton of Wyoming and Cletis D. Morton of Washington; and four grandsons, Scott, Michael, Garet, and Nicholas. In addition to being a veteran of WW II, Gaylord was a member of various civic organizations here in Tucson. Memorial Services will be held at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. (at Speedway) at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 20, 1995 with Dr. DeWitt J. Brady officiating. Interment will be at a later date in Wyoming. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Assoc. Southern AZ. Regional Office, 5325 E. Pima, Tucson.

OAR, Samuel Robert, 82, died Thursday, March 15, 1995. Survived by daughters, Laurana Putnam of Phoenix, Mary Jane Sahley of VA, Betsy Ann Patton of NE, and Deborah Louise Peck of Tucson; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren; sister, Anna Chandler of FL. Mr. Oar was a life member of V.F.W. Post 4903, serving with the U.S. Air Force 21 years and had been employed at Hughes Aircraft for 10 years. Graveside Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 20, 1995 at South Lawn Cemetery, 5401 S. Park. Contributions may be made to the Arizona Lung Association or to Streams in the Desert Lutheran Church. EAST LAWN PALMS in charge of arrangements.

FITZGERALD, Geneva “Pearl’, 58, previous Tucson resident, moved to Coffeyville, KS to be close to her son in her final days. Born 8/30/1936 passed away 3/16/1995 after a long bout with cancer. Daughter of, Lois Edwards, TX; mother of, Terry (Bren), OK; sister of, Tom (Sue), TX, Ted (Laura) Edwards, Tucson; grandmother of, Brandi, James, and Jacob; great grandmother of, Ashley Lynn and David Allen II, all of OK; aunt of, Chad, Casey and Crystal Edwards, Tucson, Thomas, Brandon and Jason Edwards, all of TX; friend of many. Memorial Service at Tucson Baptist Temple, 1525 S. Columbus, Sunday, March 19th, 12:45 (small chapel). GUNNELL, Alberta, 93, of Tucson, died March 12, 1995. Survived by husband, Frank; son, Donald of Flagstaff. Alberta was born in the Bronx, NY on March 12, 1902 and taught elementary school on Staten Island for 30 years. Arrangements entrusted to ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. (at Speedway).

HUBER, Hazel B., 71, of Tucson, died March 12, 1995. Survived by son, John D. Thomas of East Greenwich, RI; daughters, Lesley Richard of Fullerton, CA and Karen Browning of Tucson; eight grandchildren and three sisters. Memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 20 at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY, 5801 E. Grant Rd. Rev. Richard Robinson officiating.
