(Peter) Balsino of Tucson; sons, Paul (Debbie) Potter of Yucaipa, CA., Neal Potter and Steven Potter, both of Tucson; two grandchildren. TETA, Alphonse V., 74, died March 21, 1995. Survived by his wife, Thomasina Teta; sons, Rev. Michael Teta and Joseph (Noreen) Teta, all of Tucson; grandchildren, Ethan, Joey, Laura, Michelle and Billy; two brothers and one sister also survive. Mr. Teta was a member of St. Vincent de Paul and Knights of Columbus 3rd Degree. Funeral Service 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 24 at BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, with Rev. Mike Teta officiating, with interment to follow at Our Lady of the Desert Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, March 23rd and Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 23rd at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, 1800 S. Kolb Rd. WHEELER, Edwin K., 86, died Tuesday, March 21, 1995. Survived by son, Thomas Wheeler of Tucson; and sister, Dorothy Blatchford of Detroit, MI. Mr. Wheeler was retired from the Detroit News, moving to Tucson in 1974. Funeral Service will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday, March 24, 1995 at EAST LAWN PALMS CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd. where friends may call from 2:00 p.m. until service time. Dr. Henry Wooten officiating. Burial will be private at East Lawn Palms Cemetery.

BURGESS, Joseph Shawn, age 4, died March 17, 1995. Survived by parents, Gary Booker and Lisa Twinn; mother, Linda Pena; brothers and sisters, Mark and Michael Skinner, E’Blueciana Booker, Caitlyn Hamilton, Hayley Twinn, Saxton Booker, Amber Pena and a host of relatives. CAMPBELL, Glen, 44, of Lakeland, Florida died Monday, February 27, 1995 in Lakeland. He was a registered nurse. Born in Lawrenceville, IL on October 2, 1950. He moved to Lakeland from Tucson, AZ in 1986. He was a RN with the Health Department and a member of Ardella Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Janet S. Campbell of Lakeland; sons, Marc Evan Campbell, Zachary Ryan Campbell and Andrew Michael Campbell, all of Lakeland; daughters, Hollie Leigh Campbell, Tara Jaleigh Campbell and Dawn Marie Campbell, all of Lakeland; and sisters, Norma Lou Perrott of Sumner, IL, Patty White and G. Jean Coonce, both of Lawrenceville, IL, Dixie Perrin Madison and Kathy Jo Gehlken of Tucson, AZ. A Funeral Service was at Gentry-Morrison Southside Funeral Chapel, Lakeland, FL.

FLYER, Anna, 94, of Tucson, died March 20, 1995. Preceded in death by husband, Harry Flyer and by daughter, Elaine Goetz. Survived by daughter, Charlotte Delfiner; and brother, Frank Cohan; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Graveside Services Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. Congregation Anshei Israel Section of Evergreen Cemetery with Rev. Larry Barr officiating. FOLEY, Msgt. Michael W., age 32, of Tucson, passed away Saturday, March 18, 1995. He is survived by his wife, Linda and their children C. J. and Krista Marie; his parents, Alan and Junko Halstead, all of Tucson; sisters, Crystal of St. Paul, MN, Juli of Mesa, Peggy (Joe) Paris and family and Dodie (Rich) Stachel, all of Tucson; brothers, Tony (Lauri) and family of Dover, DE and Jerry (Susan) Halstead and family of Thatcher, AZ; grandparents, Lloyd and Christena Warner and uncle Roy Benson, all of Independence, MO; several cousins and many friends he considered to be family. He had 15 years of distinguished service in the Air Force, currently stationed at Davis-Monthan AFB with the 43rd Electronic Combat Squadron as a Spanish Linguist. He was the recipient of many awards including the John Levitow Award at the Non-Commissioned Officer Academy, the Commandant’s Award from Leadership School and the Provost Award from the Defense Language Institute. He was an Honor Graduate from the Rivet Joint Basic Linguist Course and quarterly awards include those for Airman, NCO and Instructor. He received numerous decorations including six Aerial Achievement Medals and three Air Force Commendation Medals. Because of his love for flying and his dedication to the military, his family requests donations be made, in lieu of flowers, in Mike’s name to Pima Air and Space Museum, 6000 E. Valencia Rd., Tucson, AZ 85706. Friends may call at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. (at Speedway), from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, March 23, 1995. Funeral Services will be Friday, March 24 at 10:00 a.m. at Dodge Chapel with burial following at East Lawn Palms Cemetery with full military honors.

HARRISON, William I. (Bill), 62, of Tucson, AZ., retired U.S. Postal Employee and former teacher at Nogales, AZ., died March 19, 1995 at his home. Survivors include children, Sarah Harrison of Greenville, SC., Emily Karp and John Harrison of Tucson; grandchildren, John Karp and Sarah Karp; a brother, Lyle Jackson Harrison of Denver, CO; and a dear friend, El Pires of Tucson. At his request no Memorial Services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Nature Conservancy.

NICHOLAS, Frances E., 86, died March 19, 1995. Survived by her husband, Robert R. Nicholas; daughter, Mary Seal; son, Ernest McCray; grandchildren, Lawrence, Robert and Andrew Seal, Lionel McCray and Dorothy Frances Hamm; three great grandchildren also survive. RICHMOND, June Rosella, 78, of Tucson, died March 19, 1995. Survivors include: her husband of 56 years, Walter; son, Gerald L. Richmond, Tucson. Mrs. Richmond was an excellent high school athlete in basketball and softball. She formed and directed the Arthritis Social Club and she loved to travel. Memorial Services will be at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. (at Speedway) at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 23, 1995 with Dr. Wayne North officiating. SANFORD, Patricia Ann, 56, died March 20, 1995. Wife of, Robert Sanford; mother of, Julie (Patrick) Gossett, Sheryl (Daniel) Pruitt, William (Kelley) Sanford, Robert Jr. (Donna) Sanford, Theidra (Jeff) Wangarin, Brandy (David) De LaFosse, and Lucy Sanford; daughter of, S.D. Kelley and Alicia Dickenson; sister of, Elaine Sciacca, Myrna Petinatto and Darrel Kelley; 18 grandchildren also survive. Funeral Service 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 23, at L.D.S. SCHMID, Louis H. Schmid, Jr., 77, of Tucson, died peacefully on March 19, 1995. His survivors include his beloved wife and friend of 53 years, Aileen Linehan Schmid; daughter, Diane M. Woodrow and husband Thomas; son, Louis H. Schmid III, (known to family and friends as Butch or Chuck) and his wife Barbara; sons, Jack A. Schmid; grandsons, Thomas A. Woodrow and David J. Woodrow; sisters-in-law, Catherine Linehan Myers and Margaret Linehan Parker; nephews, John M. Myers (Pauline) and Patrick J. Myers; stepsister, Patricia Sutherland, all of Tucson, and also survived by many special friends who will miss him dearly. Louie was born in Peotone, IL. on July 25, 1917. He arrived in Tucson on Christmas Eve 1938 and worked with his dad in the construction business. After his service in the United States Marine Corps, he became the Business Agent for the Plasterers and Cement Finishers, Local #395 and served his members long and well for 45 years and continued to represent them even after retirement. He was a 50 year member of the Operative Plasters and Cement Masons International Association. He served the labor movement as a delegate to the Southern Arizona Building Trades and was a past officer on the Tucson Pima County Labor Council. Louie is a lifetime member of the BPO Elks Lodge No. 385. Until his illness he was active as a volunteer with the Democratic Party. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 22 with the Scripture Service at 7:00 p.m. at TUCSON MORTUARY, North Chapel, 204 S. Stone Ave. Funeral Mass will be Thursday, March 23 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 3201 E. Presidio Rd., with the Rev. Robert D. Fuller officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. Friends are invited to a luncheon at the Church after the graveside services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul, c/o St. Frances Cabrini Church or the St. Mary’s Burn Unit, c/o St. Mary’s Hospital. Arrangements by TUCSON MORTUARY, INC.

SCHULTZ, Amanda C., 95, of Tucson, died March 16, 1995. Survivors include: loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and loving friends. Amanda was a resident of Tucson since 1936. She had attended Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church for many years. She was a teacher and businesswoman for 50 years in Tucson. Friends may call at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. (at Speedway), from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, 1995. Funeral services will be at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 23, 1995 with Rev. UPSON, Billy Wilson, 71 years old, died Sunday, March 19, 1995 in Tucson. Survived by his wife, Jessamine Upson of Tucson; three daughters, Joy Oliver of Casa Grande, AZ., Ann Nelson of Indianapolis, IN., Amanda Stewart of Sumner, WA; two sons, Charles Upson of Anderson, IN., Franklin Upson of Casa Grande, AZ; brother, Francis Upson Jr. of Texarkana, TX; two sisters, Ethel McMellon of Tulsa, OK., Shirley Gallman of Dallas, TX; 16 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Funeral Services for Mr. Upson will be held at 1:00p.m. Thursday, March 23, 1995 in the St. Marks United Methodist Church, 1431 W. Magee Rd. Tucson, where friends may call from Noon until service time. Burial will be at Mountain View Cemetery, Casa Grande, AZ. Mr. Upson was a member of the Castleview Baptist Church in Indianapolis, IN and a constituent at St. Marks Untied Methodist Church. WEYLER, Frances V., of Tucson, passed away March 20, 1995. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Paul, one daughter, Rita Louise of Denver, CO., two sons, Wayne Stephen of Arvada, CO., Paul Anthony of Las Cruces, NM., one grandson and two granddaughters, and her brother, Manuel of Los Angeles, CA. She has donated her eyes to the Lions and will be cremated and her ashes interned in Holy Hope Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. WHITCOMB, Carol Jean, passed away March 20th, 1995 in St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tucson. She was born in Hume, Missouri in 1936. Carol resided in Arizona since 1979 in the Tucson and Patagonia areas. She is survived by Aline Ross, three sons, Richard, Michael and Jerry Whitcomb; three brothers, Jim, Jack and Douglas Davis; two sisters, Donna Conchis and Rebecca Roby; four stepchildren, Brad, Gary, Mindy and Buzz Gatlin; and 12 grandchildren. Carol is loved and will be missed by all.
