Balmes; devoted mother of, Anna (George) Horvath of Tucson, Theresa (Joseph) Richter of Tucson, Helen Marconcini of Phoenix, Florence (Joseph) Hayes of IL, Patricia Firkins of WI, Philip (Mary) Balmes of Scottsdale, and John (Phyllis) Balmes of IL; loving grandmother of 31 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren. Fond sister of, Albert (Catherine) Schildgen of AR, Louise Vizor of IL, (the late Victor) of IL, Catherine Broham, (the late George), George Schildgen (the late Betty) of CA, and the late Frank, Bernard, Lena, Antionette, Arthur, William (Beth) and Raymond. Mrs. Balmes was a member of the Franciscan Order, Legion of Mary and the Young at Heart. Mass will be offered at 8:00 a.m. Saturday, April 8, 1995 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 1375 S. Camino Seco. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 7 at BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, and friend may call from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. Friday, April 7 at BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway. Interment will be in Techny, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations to Divine Word Missionaries, Techny, IL, 60082.

CONDON, Mary Ellen, housewife, 72, of Tucson, passed away April 3, 1995. Survived by husband of 51 years, Dr. Walter Condon; sons, John Charles of Tucson and Richard Franklin of San Francisco; grandchildren, John Clayton and Amanda Kathleen of Tucson. Mary Ellen was proud of her Texas heritage, born in Waco and then making Tucson her home in 1950. She became active in American Veterinary Medical Societies and the Arizona Cattle Growers Association by being president of the auxiliary to several associated medical societies and the Tucson Cowbells while co-authoring the National All Beef Cookbook. She was also an Opera Dame, a Covell Casuals Model, an Aviatrix and an avid bowler. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 1995 at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. Northern Ave. at Magee Rd. Family request memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Disease Association, P.O. Box 13423 Tucson, AZ 85732.

DAVIS, Robert J., 73, died April 2, 1995. Husband of, Rose Ann Hunter Davis of Tucson; step-father of, Don Miller. Committal Service 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 10 at TMP East Lawn with Dr. Wayne North officiating. Military Honors by Davis Monthan Air Force Base Honor Guard. FioRito, Amelia, 86, of Tucson, died April 4, 1995. Survived by daughter, Mary Lou (Vernon) Lowe, Tucson; son, Michael J. (Barbara) FioRito Jr, Elmwood Park, IL; daughter, Judith (Ronald) Kazanow, Arlington Heights, IL; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren. Mrs. FioRito has resided in Tucson for the past 19 years. Mrs. FioRito was preceded in death by her husband, Michael in 1977. Funeral Services will be held at Belmont Funeral Home, Chicago, IL. FONTENOT, Lassie, 73, of Tucson, passed away April 6, 1995. Survived by daughter, Gail (Sherman) Fontenot of Tucson; son, Virgil (Sheila) Fontenot of CA; sisters, Lou Faulk, Christine Phelps and Bea Abram, all of LA; brothers, Furnan and Melvin Fruge, both of LA. Also survived by four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 7, 1995 from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. at TUCSON MORTUARY, (Center Chapel), 240 S. Stone Ave., with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 8, 1995, 10:00 a.m. at TUCSON MORTUARY, (Center Chapel). Interment will follow at South Lawn Cemetery. JONES, Jessie, 93, of Plantation, FL., died March 24, 1995. A resident of South Florida for 2 1/2 years, she is survived by her daughter, Ruth Williams of Plantation; step-daughters, Mary Lou Palmer of Tucson, AZ., Nancy Detwieler of Roosevelt, AZ; step-son, John Paul Jones III of Tucson, AZ; grandsons, Bruce Riley of Ft, Lauderdale, FL., Michael Riley of London, England, and Steven Riley of Lawton, OK. LESSEL, William A., 88, of Tucson, died April 1, 1995. Survived by sister-in-law, Myrtle Craig of Chicago, IL. Mr. Lessel moved to the United States at the age of 14 from France. He was an employee of Moody Bible Institute for over 44 years, retiring in 1971 and then moving to Arizona. Preceded in death by his wife, Vivian in 1968. Funeral Services will be held 3:00 p.m., April 9 at EAST LAWN PALMS CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd. Officiating is Rev. Floyd Morgan of Saguaro Evangelical Free Church. PARKER, Jesse B., 65, of Tucson, passed away April 4, 1995. Mr. Parker was retired from the U.S.A.F. and more recently Village Market on Tanque Verde and Sabino Canyon Rds. Loving husband and father, he is survived by his wife, Catherine E. Parker; daughters, Ann Parker and Linda Parker; sons, Tom Parker, Jesse Parker and John Parker; 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; one brother and two sisters. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon Saturday, at Hudgel’s SWAN FUNERAL HOME, 22nd and Swan. YU ZHEN, Di., 83, of Tucson, died April 5, 1995, born November 27, 1911 in China. BARTLETT, Amelia C., 85, of Tucson, passed away April 3, 1995. Preceded in death by husband, Raymond G. Bartlett Sr. and daughter, Edith C. Duncan. Survived by sons, John G. and Raymond G. BRABAW, Elinor Louise, 82, of Tucson, died April 2, 1995. Born in Pearl Beach, MI, retired Executive Secretary at First Interstate Bank. She had a deep love for birds, was a member of the Audubon Society, and was active with The Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum. Survived by sister, Margaret Z. Roberts of Detroit, MI; numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside Services were held Wednesday 10:00 a.m. Evergreen Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Audubon Society, 300 E. CORRALES, Moises, Jr. “Sito’, 20 months, of Tucson, died March 26, 1995. Survived by parents, Darlene and Mosies Corrales, Sr.; twin sister, Marrina Marisol Teresa Corrales; sisters, Anita Marie Tonti, Elania Renee Tonti; grandparents, Jennifer Petersen and Teresa Ramos Corrales; godmother, Karen K. Mada; special family members, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin White and Mr. and Mrs. Philip Escalante; and many other relatives. Sito taught his mother a love she never knew before. Angels sent to teach us. Survived by her daughters, Jacqui Axelson of Tustin, CA and Peggy (Loy) Eich of Tucson; eight grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Haymore was preceded in death by her husband, Walter. Funeral Services 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 7, at BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, with Pastor Frank Shelt officiating. HILL, Jeannine M., 62 years old, died Saturday, February 25, 1995 in Tucson. Survived by five sons, Steven Hill of Flagstaff, AZ., Phillip Hill of Ontario, Canada, Peter Hill of Springfield, MO., Michael Hill of Orlando, FL., Kevin Hill of Tucson, AZ; one brother, Leo Carrier of Colonial Heights, VA; mother, Lucille Carrier of Winchendown, MA; six grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Janich; children, Ann (Richard) Trofimchuk of IL, Chester Janich of IL and Michael (Sally) Janich of CO; granddaughter, Lauren Megan of CO; brothers, Henry (Leona) Poleski and Nick (Antoinette) Janich, all of IL. Mr. Janich had 15 years of service with ATandT and a former Cub Master and Scout Master and a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Mary’s Czestochowa Church in IL.
