BUTCHER, Faith Noel, 8, of Tucson, died April 12, 1995 in Tucson, AZ. Survived by father, Robert E. (Teresa) Butcher, Sr. of Tucson; mother, Marilyn (Abram) Bland of Tucson; sister, Amanda Rose Butcher; brother, Robert E. Butcher, Jr. and Larson Cutter Bland all of Tucson; grandparents, Harriett B. Butcher, Frank and Joan Finley; Bill and Deanna Bland and Bette Mingus, all of Tucson; great-grandparents, Jeanette Gempler of WI, Joan Geisel of NM; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Faith was a student at Davidson Elementary School. Services Monday 3:00 p.m. EVERGREEN MORTUARY with Pastor David Frede of Christian Fellowship Church officiating with interment to follow Evergreen Cemetery. DADOW, Garry Don, 54, a waterwell driller, born February 6, 1941, died of cancer on April 13, 1995. Survived by his wife and best friend, Linda; sons, Jeff of CA, Lynn (Vickey) of Tucson, Marc (Kathy); and daughter, Vicki (Jim) of MI; grandchildren, Benjamin, Matt, Eric, Travis and Kimberly; also survived by mother, Ada; brothers and sisters, Dale (Kathy) of AZ, Doug (Joan), Fred (Velda), John (Sue), Wauneta (Eugene) and Beverly, all of Michigan; many nieces and nephews and friends. He will be truly missed by everyone. Open House Memorial Service Tuesday, April 18 at 5000 N. La Cholla, #73.

FOUNTAIN, Karen E., 49, passed away April 11, 1995. Wife of, Franklin Fountain; mother of, Garrett and Brent, both of Tucson, and Frank and Karen, both of CO; sister of, Susan and Stephen of CO; grandmother of, Ariel and Thrish; daughter of, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Chamber of TN. Mrs. Fountain was a member of Tanque Verde Lutheran Church and currently a student at the U of A, completing her graduate studies. Memorial Service at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 17, 1995 at Tanque Verde Lutheran Church, 8625 E. Tanque Verde with Pastor Frank Nausin officiating. Donations may be made in memory of Karen E. Fountain in care of Tanque Verde Lutheran Church, 8625 E. Tanque Verde. Arrangements by BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway.

KEEHNER, Elizabeth Anne Costley, 80, formerly of Tucson, passed away Thursday morning in Bryan, TX. Born June 7, 1914, in Bushland, TX, she moved to Tucson in 1956, where she taught Elementary school for 20 years. She was a local resident, until her move to Bryan, in 1985. She earned her BS and Master’s degrees from West Texas State University, and was a member of the Catalina United Methodist Church in Tucson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Keehner, and a daughter, Bettie Davis. Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, Perry and Loretta Slagle; daughter and son-in-law, Sara and Don Rice, all of Bryan; sisters, Ruby Burrus and Gladys Haines, both of Canyon, TX; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, at the First Baptist Church in Bryan. Graveside Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at Dreamland Cemetery in Canyon. MAJALCA, Robert C., 56, of Tucson, passed away April 1, 1995. Survived by sisters, Mary Garcia and Teresa Cordova; sister-in-law’s, Alice Mireles and Mercy Majalca; brothers, Arturo Majalca and Ernest Mireles. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 17, 1995 from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. at TUCSON MORTUARY, (South Chapel), 240 S. Stone Ave., with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered on Tuesday, 9:00 a.m. at St. Margaret’s Church. Interment will follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. Arrangements by TUCSON MORTUARY, INC.

MALLETT, Janet, 62, of Tucson, died April 12, 1995. Services pending. Arrangements entrusted to ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. (at Speedway).

OBERLY, Elsie (Lyerly) Saunders, Pusch, Lance, born March 17, 1902 in Jonesboro, IL. Daughter of, George W. and Mary (Skinner) Lyerly. Passed away April 12, 1995. She was 93 years old. Elsie and first husband, Bill Saunders, left Chicago in early 1923, via Topeka, KS to Tucson, AZ. Elsie was a charter member of the First Baptist Church with Rev. Beal. Her husband, Bill, joined the Masons in the late 20's or early 30's and Elsie joined the EPPS Randolph Lodge, Order of Eastern Star. Mr. Saunders died in the early 50's, on the job at the City of Tucson Paint Shop, on West 18th St., where he had worked many years. She married Fred Pusch, a native Tucsonian. Pusch Ridge in the Catalina mountains was named for the Pusch family. Fred was a guard over the federal prisoners while they built the Mount Lemmon Highway. He was 32nd degree Mason. Later he was a bailiff for Judge Lee Garrett. Fred passed away at the VA Hospital in the middle sixties. Elsie then married Drew Lance, a Tucson restaurant owner, who owned Lance’s Restaurant on East Congress. Later he was head jailer for Frank Eyeman. Drew died in Elsie’s arms after unhitching a boat from their trailer at Pena Blanca Lake. She married Harry Oberly, who preceded her in death. Elsie had pleasant memories of each and every husband. She is survived by brother, Bryan (Doris) Lyerly of Tucson and by six nieces. Elsie was a very generous person. At 93 Elsie has outlived many of her friends. Services Saturday, 10:00 a.m. EVERGREEN MORTUARY and CEMETERY, N. Oracle and W. Miracle Mile. Friends may call Saturday, 9:30 a.m. until service time. Interment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

PARKER, William B., 69, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 1995. Son of Solf and Maria (Aguirre) Parker, San Francisco. Survivors include son, Chris Parker, NV; brother, Joseph “Tony’ (Mary Ann) Parker, Tucson; nephew, Greg Tresner, Tucson; niece, Sue Kinney, WA. Mr. Parker was a dance instructor at Arthur Murray and Fred Astaire for many years. Memorial Service will be held Friday, April 21, 12:00 noon at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 3201 E. Presidio.

TARAVELLA, Charles, 59, passed away April 13, 1995. Beloved husband of, Barbara Taravella; devoted father of, Tamar (Tim) Case and Tina (Todd) Gentry, both of Tucson and Crystal Taravella of MO; cherished grandfather of, Tyler and Adam Case and Ryan and Emily Gentry; dear brother of, Theresa Oran of LA. Mr. Taravella served in the U.S Air Force as Tech Sgt. for 15 years. Employed by the U.S. Post Office in Tucson for 25 years. Mr. Taravella was an avid bowler and fisherman. VANDYKE, Nicholas E., 29, of Chandler, formerly of Tucson, died as a result of an automobile accident Wednesday, April 12, 1995 in Casa Grande. Survived by son, Nicholas Eugene Jr. “Niko’ and Niko’s mother, Vicki Chavez and Vicki’s daughter, Samantha of Chandler, AZ; his parents, William and JoAnn VanDyke of Oshkosh, WI; three brothers, Dean (Jacque), Rob and Eric VanDyke of Oshkosh, WI; his grandparents, John and Irene Schroeder of Winneconne, WI and Gertrude VanDyke of Kaukauna, WI; aunts and uncles, Jack and Mary Schroeder of Oshkosh, Mary Lou and Jr. Costales of Chandler, AZ, Barb Tuchscherer and Mike Duehring of Oshkosh, Bruce and Delia Schroeder of Casa Grande, AZ, Mike and Jody Schroeder of Oshkosh, Donald and Chris VanDyke of Winneconne, Bob VanDyke of Palm Desert, CA; and Nancy and Gerald Coenen of Little Chute, WI. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Clayton VanDyke. Born July 20, 1965 in Oshkosh, 1984 graduate of Winneconne High School and employed by Precast Concrete Specialties Inc. in Arizona since 1986. Funeral Services Tuesday, April 18 at 11:00 a.m. at Mueller Funeral Home, Winneconne, Wisconsin; 414-582-4242. Cremation to follow. WHARTH, Michael Louis, 28, of Tucson, died Wednesday, April 12, 1995. Beloved son of, William and Esther Warth; loving brother of Ruth (Richard) Niemiec of Wooster, OH, Mary (Michael) Malone of West Chester, OH, William J. (Denise) Warth of North Canton, OH; devoted grandson of Oral Clevenger of Louisville, OH. Many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles also survive. Funeral Service 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 17, 1995 at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd., with Pastor Ralph Hilton of Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church officiating. Entombment will follow at the Mausoleum of Peace, East Lawn Palms Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel, one hour prior to the service. Michael will be greatly missed by his friends and relatives.

CADMUS, Austin J., Sr., 82, died April 12, 1995. Mr. Cadmus was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret and son, Austin Jr. Survivors include his children, Harold R. (Nancy) Cadmus of NC, Grace C. (Joseph) Katusz of Tucson, Pearl C. (Thomas) Winchester of PA, Margaret L. (Gordon) Maurer of Tucson, and Ann C. (Gary) Gosse of CA; 13 grandchildren; two nephews and one niece also survive. DANIEL, David E., Sr., 68, passed away April 11, 1995. Husband of, Jean Daniel; father of, Steven (Patricia) Daniel of Tempe, Terry (Stephen) Evans of Roswell, NM, and David (Donna) Daniel Jr. of Tucson; brother of, Maurice Fowler of Tucson; and grandfather of, Mary (Bruce), George, April, Joey, Jeremiah, Daniel, Douglas, and David. Mr. Daniel was a member of Palo Verde Church of Christ. Funeral Service 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 14, 1995 at Palo Verde Church of Christ, 651 S. Kolb Rd., with Minister Clyde Balderson officiating. ELLIOTT, Margaret, 83, of Lisle, IL, and formerly of Tucson, died Thursday, February 23, 1995. She is survived by four sons, Charles (Donna) Elliott of Kalamazoo, MI Richard (Nancy) Elliott of Naperville, IL, George (Carole) Elliott of Phoenix, AZ, James (Adel) Elliott of Denver, CO; 11 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two nieces, Patricia Kirchner of Oak Brook, IL and Hazel Leahy of Downers Grove, IL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy and by one brother, Buck Leahy. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 15 at 3:30 p.m. at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd. Survivors include children, Julie Harris and Jacque Bishop, both of Norfolk, VA, James Felland of Portsmith, VA, and Thomas Gerald Felland (Patty) of Norfolk, VA; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sisters, Virginia Roush, Kansas City, MO, Betty Cooper, Neosho, MO, Patricia Hornaday, Bates City, MO and June Seamands, Tucson; brother, Clifford Felland, Diamond, MO, Claude Felland, Santa Rosa, CA. MEYER, Mary Josephine (Monroe), Born February 22, 1931 Sharps Chaple, TN. Died April 10, 1995. Survived by her husband, Frank Meyer; son, Timothy Meyer; and daughters, Cynthia Bess and Linda Allen; and seven grandchildren. Also her father, Raymond Monroe and five brothers and three sisters of the Knoxville, TN area. Memorial Services to be held Friday April 14, 1995, 10:00 a.m. at Desert Rose Cremation Burial, 2750 S. 4th Ave, Bldg 106 for immediate family members only and specifically invited family members only. MORENO, Marina Carranza, a Native Tucsonian, 78, passed away April 11, 1995. Survived by three sons, John R. (Maria) Lopez, Frank C. (Nancy) Lopez and Tony C. Herrera, all of Tucson; brothers, Jesus Carranza of Tucson, Jose Luis Carranza of Chula Vista, CA; and sister, Bertha Garcia of Phoenix, AZ. Also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and several loving friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 17, 1995 from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. at TUCSON MORTUARY, (North Chapel), 204 S.
