ZABALZA, Mario Iniquez, 42 years old, died Thursday, April 19, 1995. He was a resident of Tucson for 18 years. Survivors include wife, Maria; triplets; sons, David and Mario; daughter, Luisana; daughters, Juanita and Guadalupe; one grandchild; parents Inocencio and Refugio, all of Tucson; seven sisters; and two brothers. Visitation will be Sunday, April 23, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5401 S. Park Ave. Mass will be at St. John’s Catholic Church on 12th and Ajo on Monday, April 24, 1995 at 10:00 a.m. Burial at South Lawn Cemetery.

BARRETT, Kenneth, 67, of Tucson, died April 18, 1995. Survived by wife, Theresa Lavonne; children, Laurel Wiese, Shawn Trobia, Tiiu and Randy Smith, Larry and Scott Barrett and Kathy Murphy; 10 grandchildren; and one brother, Bob Barrett. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. (at Speedway).

BRESLIN, Francis James, 76, of Three Points, passed away April 15, 1995. Survived by sons, James and John; daughters, Mary and Marcella, all of NV; several grandchildren also survive. He was a Past Commander of VFW Post in Three Points. No services will be held.

CAMACHO, Antonio S., 80, of Tucson, passed away April 16, 1995. Preceded in death by son, Tony Y. Camacho Jr. Survived by wife, Ramona Camacho; daughters, Nena (Bobby) Miranda and Ana Olivia (Carmelo) Cordero; sons, Rene and Jose D. (Andrea) Camacho: brothers, Alfredo (Virginia) Camacho. Also survived by 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Mr. Camacho, boxing under the name of Tommy “K.O.’ Brown, was feather weight Champion of Arizona in 1937. He started boxing at the age of 15. By the age of 21 he had 145 knockouts, 4 loses and 1 draw. During his boxing career he boxed Henry Armstrong, World Champion, a 2 round exhibition bout. Mr. Camacho was also a meat cutter known as “El Ray del Chorizo.’ Visitation will be held on Friday, April 21, 1995 from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. at TUCSON MORTUARY, (South Chapel), 240 S. Stone Ave., with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered on Saturday, 9:00 a.m. at St. Monica’s Church. Interment will follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. Arrangements by TUCSON MORTUARY, INC.

D’ATTILIO, Doris, 61, of Tucson, died April 18, 1995. Survived by husband, Leon; children, Leona, Debbie, Jeffrey, all of Tucson; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren. Friends may call at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. Northern Ave. at Magee from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 20th with Scripture Service at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be held at Holy Hope Mausoleum, 9:00 a.m. Friday, 3555 N. Oracle. DONAHUE, Richard (Dick) J., 78, passed into eternal life Monday, April 17, 1995. Survived by his beloved wife and life-long partner Dorothy, daughter Diane Cook (Bill), son Drew (Pam), granddaughters Dee Dee Williams (David) and Debbie Courson, all of Tucson, a sister Ednamae Warner of Kennebunkport, Maine, 3 nieces, 3 great nephews and a great niece. Born in Newark, NJ, Dick brought his family to Tucson before serving with the U.S. Army in World War II. He and Dorothy have owned and operated Donahue’s Aqua Tech Water Conditioning, formerly SERViSOFT Soft Water, for nearly 50 years, which is now managed by their son. An active member and Elder of St. Mark’s Presbyterian Church, Richard was also a member of the Palo Verde Optimist Club. Friends may celebrate with Dick’s family in a service of life, love and remembrance on Friday, April 21, 1995 at 1:00 PM, followed by a reception at St. Mark’s Presbyterian Church 3809 E. 3rd St. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Tucson Medical Center Hospice, 5301 E. Grant Rd., Tucson, AZ 85712. Arrangements through Adair Mortuary.

DURNIAK, Anna Marie, 71, of Tucson, passed away April 16, 1995. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Paul Afinowich. She is survived by husband, Dan; son, Jim Afinowich of Tempe, AZ; grandchildren, Amber and Robin Afinowich; brothers, Jim Leary of Milwaukee, WI and Wayne Leary of Fairfield Bay, AR; fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Anna was the business manager of her husband’s veterinarian office. She was very active in the Church Guild of St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church. Services and interment were held on Wednesday, April 19, 1995. Memorials in her name may be made to the Bishop’s Appeal, 192 S. Stone, Tucson, AZ 85701. Directed by VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, 327-6341.

HINES, Austin E., 88, of Tucson, died April 18, 1995. Survived by wife, Dorothy L. Hines; son, Billy Hines and daughter-in-law, Pat of Glendale, AZ; daughter, Juanita Mabery of Moab, UT; four grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd. Burial will follow in East Lawn Palms Cemetery.

JOHNSON, Clyde L., 83, a resident of Tucson, passed away April 17, 1995. Survived by step-son, Louis Martin (Gloria) of Tucson; and friend, Cornie Williams of Tucson. KONKEL, Bruno J., 86, of Tucson, died Tuesday, April 18, 1995. Survived by wife, Wilma; daughters, Patricia Andrews, Roberta Cliansmith, Emma Sue Whitman; daughter-in-law, June Galvin; sons, Tom, Jim and Richard Solomon; many grandchildren. Mr. Konkel retired from the Michigan School System before moving to Tucson with his wife Miriam who preceded him in death. He was very active in his church work and a founding member of Bethany Baptist Church. Friends may call 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 20, 1995 at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY, 5801 E. MCDONALD, Mildred A., 85, passed away April 11, 1995. “Millie’ is survived by her son, Howard Franks of Tucson; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Blanche Novak of Berwyn, IL and her family. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 21, 1995 at 1:00 p.m. at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, located at 1949 E. Helen St., with Pastor Charles Riggs officiating. MISNER, Mary Beth, 43, of Tucson, passed away April 14, 1995. Survived by children Heather (Kenneth) Hiser, Robert (Jennifer) Misner and Levi Misner; grandchildren, Clinton and Kristen; mother, Carolyn Cain; sisters, Susan Youngquist, Margaret Reed, Jane Garber, Sandy Meirhofer and Anna Lucero; and one brother, John Cain. Beth was a graduate of Methodist School of Nursing in Omaha, NE and worked for the last six years at the TMC Cardiac Care Unit. Beth’s joys were spending time with her children, grandchildren and many friends. She will be deeply missed. Committal service will be held Thursday, April 20, 1995 at 10:00 a.m. at East Lawn Palms Cemetery.

RAGUZIN, Antonio A., 89, of Tucson, died Tuesday, April 18, 1995. Survived by his sons, Hector P. Raguzin, Oscar F. Raguzin; granddaughters, Nancy Raguzin-Acosta, Kathie Raguzin; brother, Alozijo Raguzin; sister, Marija Raguzin. STOUT, Raymond D. “Slim’, 90, of Tucson, passed away April 16, 1995. He is preceded in death by his wife, Helen. Survived by his son, Raymond J. (Donna) Stout of Tucson; grandchildren Daniel (Kathy) Stout and Erin (Matt) O’Connell; great grandchildren, Tyler Stout and John O’Connell and Tera; brother, Henry (Opal) Stout of Tulia, TX. “Slim’ was a long-time resident of Bisbee, AZ and operated his barber shop on Main St. from 1924 until his retirement in 1967. Friends may call Thursday 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. with Funeral Service to follow at 10:00 a.m. at VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, 2545 N. Tucson Blvd., (1 1/2 blocks North Grant.) with interment to follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association. BENITEZ, Ignacio E. “Nacho’, a federal mine inspector and WWII veteran, passed away on March 20, 1995 in Denver, Colorado. He was 71. Born October 22, 1923 in Miami, AZ, where he began his career as an underground miner. In 1978, he was transferred to Colorado as a federal mine inspector. He is survived by his wife, Lucy; daughters, Patricia (Juan) Gastelum, Leonor Benitez of Tucson, AZ, Irene (Charlie) Graham of Forest Grove, OR, Yvonne Benitez of Dayton, OR; sons, Larry of Tucson and Javier of Los Angeles, CA; sister, Laura B. Red of El Paso, TX; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren also survive. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Ambrose Church, 300 S. Tucson Blvd., on Saturday, April 22 at 12:00 noon. Mr. Benitez was cremated and his remains will be put to rest in the National Cemetery in Phoenix, AZ at a later date.

BRACAMONTE, Ignacio, Jr., 75, of Tucson, passed away April 15, 1995. Survived by nieces, Ramona (Paul) Kinch, Manuela (Frank) Romero, Eva (Frank) Valenuela, Terry (Ernesto) Verdugo, Juana Yanez, Carmena Valenuela; and many other nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the family residence (623-6093) Thursday, April 20, 1995 starting at 4:00 p.m. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will follow Friday at 9:00 a.m. at Santa Rosa Church, 2015 N. CAREY, Doris M., beloved wife of, Robert T. Carey, passed away April 18, 1995. She was born in Newark, NJ on March 8, 1924, to John and Anna Conradi. She attended St. James High School, after graduation she worked with the Army Air Corp., and the USO during WWII. Doris met and married Robert T. Carey in 1947. Doris traveled the world with her husband Bob and four children. Doris and family arrived in Tucson in 1967. She worked for the University of Arizona and University Medical Center for a number of years, and leaves many friends behind. Doris is survived by her husband, Robert; sons, Robert (Susan) T. Carey Jr. of Escondido and Matthew J. Carey of Tucson; daughters, Joan (George) P. Roylston of Tucson and Anne (Brian) M. Jones of Tucson. She is remembered lovingly by her brother, Chuck; sisters, Anne and Joan; and ten grandchildren. Mass will be offered at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 21, at St. Joseph’s Church, 215 S. Craycroft Rd., with Father Tim Lawless officiating. Entombment to follow at Our Lady of the Desert Cemetery. Rosary will be recited 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 20th at BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, and friends may call from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, April 20th at BRING’S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the University of Arizona Cancer Center, 1501 N. Campbell, Tucson, AZ.
