DAVENPORT, Katherine M., passed away Thursday, April 20, 1995. BUFFINGTON, Herschel F., 71, of Benson, AZ, passed away April 19, 1995. He is survived by wife, Ernestine of Benson; daughters, Linda and her husband Gary Guy of San Antonio, TX, Amy and her husband Christopher Graham of San Diego, CA; seven grandchildren, Michael and Evan Guy of TX; triplets, Christa, Lindsay and Carrie Graham, Lauren and James Graham of San Diego, CA; half-sister, Kathryn Benning of San Manuel, AZ. He was preceded in death by son, James A Bickler, Jr. He was a member of American Legion Post 7 and First Christian Church in Salem, IN. He was Co-owner of Statewide Escrow in Tucson and a broker and real estate agent in Tucson for many years. Visitation will be 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Friday. CAMACHO, Antonio S. Camacho, 80, of Tucson, passed away April 16, 1995. Preceded in death by son, Tony Y. Camacho Jr. Survived by wife, Ramona Camacho; daughters, Nena (Bobby) Miranda and Ana Olivia (Carmelo) Cordero; sons, Rene and Jose D. (Andrea) Camacho: brothers, Alfredo (Virginia) Camacho. Also survived by 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Mr. Camacho, boxing under the name of Tommy “K.O.’ Brown, was feather weight Champion of Arizona in 1937. He started boxing at the age of 15. By the age of 21 he had 145 knockouts, 4 loses and 1 draw. During his boxing career he boxed Henry Armstrong, World Champion, a 2 round exhibition bout. Mr. Camacho was also a meat cutter known as “El Ray del Chorizo.’ Visitation will be held on Friday, April 21, 1995 from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. at TUCSON MORTUARY, (South Chapel), 240 S. MORTON, Francis X., 90, of Tucson. Born October 31, 1904 in San Francisco, CA and died April 18, 1995 in Columbia, MD. He married Edith Mordasini September 7, 1926, who predeceased him on January 17, 1989 after 62 years of marriage. He began his career in transportation with United Parcel Service in San Francisco in 1925 as a truck driver and rose to operating manger in New York and Chicago. He was Vice President of operations at Montgomery Ward in Chicago during WWII. He also was president of Associated Consultants in Baltimore, a division of Leaseway International, until his retirement from active work at age 78. Supporter of youth programs in Tucson, including his underwriting the new Steve Daru Boys and Girls Clubhouse in Tucson and the Frank X. Morton gymnasium. Passionate believer in the American dream, that a boy or girl from the poorest circumstances can enjoy a wonderful life through education and hard work, family responsibility and community service. Survived by daughters, Attorneys Carolyn Morton of Bradford, MA and Catherene J. Morton of Tucson; grandchildren, Lisa, Michael, Nina Ryers; Albert, Kathleen, Carrie, Christina Whitaker. Funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Monday, April 24 at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd. Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at the Mortuary. Burial will be in East Lawn Palms Cemetery. SPENCE, Marcella Garrett, of Tucson, passed away on April 19, 1995. She was born on November 19, 1905 at Knickerbocker, TX. Her family moved to Tubac in 1912, the year Arizona became a state. Her father was a cattleman who built the first two story house between Tucson and Nogales at Tubac. She attended elementary school in Tubac, high school in Tucson and Tempe Teachers College (now Arizona State University). She was married to A.T. Spence, a prominent cattleman and they had ranches in Mexico, Arizona and several other states until he died in 1971. Mrs. Spence is survived by two sons, Terrell of Gardnerville, NV, and Stanford of Austin, TX; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren; her sister, Jessie Pafford of Tucson and Apache Junction; and her brothers, James Garrett of Tubac, Stanford Garrett of Tucson; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was a member of Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile, Toastmasters and belonged to the First Baptist Church. She will be interred next to her husband at Evergreen Cemetery.
