SHIRLEY, George Curtis, MSgt, U.S.A.F., ret., 61, of Tucson, died Thursday, April 27, 1995. Survived by his wife, Hazel E. Shirley; children, Douglas Shirley of Phoenix, Carolyn Pankratz of Fredricksburg, VA; sister, Grace Schwartz of Santee, CA; brother, Robert Shirley of Charleston, WV, David Shirley of Milbourne, DE, Ronald Shirley of Woodbridge, VA; and four grandchildren. Mr. Shirley, a Veteran of the Vietnam War and Bronze Star recipient, retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1972 after 23 years of service. He was employed at Hughes Aircraft from 1973 until his second retirement in 1988. He was a member of D.A.V. Chapter 2 and V.F.W. Post 4903. Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 1, 1995 at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5801 E. Grant Rd. Interment with full military honors will follow at East Lawn Palms Cemetery.

DUNHAM, Lt. Col. (USAF) Charles R., 69, of Tucson, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 1995. Born October 8, 1925 in St. Peter, Minnesota, he is survived by his wife, Audrey; children, Charles R. Jr. (Maureen) and Nancy Lee Person (Joe) of Washington; grandchildren, Sarah Jean, Nicole Christine and Benjamin Mack; sisters, Marcella and Sister Mary Jose of Minnesota. Memorial Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 28 at St. Frances de Sales Church, 1375 S. Camino Seco. Sylvester and Gail Harris-Fox; and her grandchildren, Peter B. Sylvester, Robin Sylvester and Christopher Harris. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter D. Sylvester; and her grandson, Billy Harris. Carmela was born in Italy and lived in Cleveland, OH and Tucson. Funeral Mass will be at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Cleveland on April 29.
