SHERMAN, S. Charles, 84, of Tucson, died Friday, January 6, 1995. Survived by his wife, Mary Sherman; children, Elona (Harry) Dyner of Ranchos Palos Verdes, CA, Richard (Beverly) Sherman of Buffalo Grove, IL; grandchildren, Pamela (Stephen) Hendry, Gary Dyner, Deborah Dyner, Derek Sherman, Amanda Sherman, Bradford Sherman; great-granddaughter, Erica Hendry; sister, Bess Brown. A registered Pharmacist for over 60 years, Mr. Sherman owned and operated Sherman Drugs. He was a member of B.P.O. Elk’s Lodge #385. Graveside Service 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 8, 1995 at East Lawn Palms Cemetery, 5801 E. Grant Rd. Arrangements by EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY.

WILKINSON, Joyce E., 81, died unexpectedly in lateDecember, 1994 at her home in Tucson. She is survived by her brother, Harry Hugill of OR; nephew, Joseph Hugill of San Diego; niece, Lela Hugill of Portland, OR; her husband, Earl Wilkinson died in 1966. Mrs. Wilkinson taught Business, French and Spanish in Burns, Oregon for many years where she was head of the Modern Languages Department. She earned a PHD in Spanish from the University of Guadalajara, Mexico in 1974, and most recently tutored many students at the UofA thru their graduate studies. Mrs. Wilkinson enjoyed the Arts and traveled widely in Mexico and Europe, surviving the 1973 Managua, Nicaragua earth quake while teaching at the American school there. Private Memorial Service is being held on Saturday, January 7 in Tucson at the home of a friend.

BROWN, Sarah Cecelia, born October 9, 1919 in Charleston, S.C., died April 28, 1995 in Tucson, AZ. Memorial Service, Thursday, May 4, 1995, 10:00 a.m., SS Peter and Paul Church. Internment will be at St. Laurence Cemetery, Charleston, S.C. Survived by a sister, Stella B. Stack of Tucson, AZ; Wesner B. Stack, a nephew, of Milton, DE; William R. Stack, a nephew, of Seaford, DE; and Sarah A. Stack, a niece, of Palo Alto, CA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to the Mental Health Association of Pima County. DELCIDO, Bertha R. Delcido, 68, of Tucson, passed away April 30, 1995. Survivors include: husband, Manuel; daughters, Delfina (Alex) Peralta, Christina (Manuel) Silva, Sally (Valentin) Ramonett, Irene (Jorge) Espinoza; sons, Manuel R. Delcido, Frank Castillo; brothers, Frank Ruiz, Isidro Ruiz; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; beloved nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Thursday 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5401 S. Park Ave. Mass at St. John’s Church Friday 9:00 a.m. Interment to follow at South Lawn Cemetery. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers: Raymond Peralta, Valentin J. Ramonett, Gabriel Ramonett, Ruben Ramonett, Christopher Siqueros, Richard Delcido and son, Manuel R. Delcido. Bertha will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and by many friends and relatives she touched.

FORD, Helen H., 86, of Tucson, died April 30, 1995. Survived by daughter, Andrea. Funeral Service will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday, May 5 at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY, 5801 E. Grant Rd., where friends may call a half hour prior to service. Burial will be in East Lawn Palms Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Humane Society of Tucson, 3450 N. Kelvin Blvd., 85716.

GALLEY, Ruth N., 75, died May 2, 1995. Arrangements by BRING’S MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 236 S. Scott.

GARCIA, Arnulfo M. “Cuyito’ Garcia Sr. 64, of Tucson, passed away April 29, 1995. Survived by daughters, Irene Chacon, Margie (Victor) Rico, Angie (Michael Sr.) Rodriquez, Violet (Tommy Sr.) Martinez; sons, Arnulfo C. Garcia Jr., Arnold (Alma) Garcia, Jesus Garcia and Carlos Garcia; sister, Esperanza (Joaquin) Urbano of Chandler, AZ. Also survived by 22 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Arnulfo will be loved and missed by many cousins, nieces and nephews. He retired from the City of Tucson (Sanitation Dept.) after 27 years of service. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 4, 1995 from 4:00 to 10:00 p.m. at TUCSON MORTUARY, (South Chapel), 240 S. Stone Ave., with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be offered on Friday, 9:00 a.m. at Santa Cruz Church. Interment will follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. Arrangements by TUCSON MORTUARY, INC.

INGOLD, Alfred C., 50, of Tucson, passed away May 2, 1995. Survived by wife, Judy Ingold; parents, Lorraine Miller and Alfred Ingold; daughters, Julie (Todd) Stocksdale, Debbie (Jaysen) Rayot, Crystalyn, Lacey and Britnee; sons, Lester (Leslie) Ingold and William Ingold; sister, Carolyn; brothers, Tomas Schumaker and Jim Miller; grandchildren, Judy, Joshua, Joseph and Dylan. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 4, 1995 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Craycroft Baptist Church, 5729 East 22nd Street (1 1/2 Blocks East of Craycroft). Funeral Services will be held on Friday, 10:00 a.m. at Craycroft Baptist Church with Pastor Wilde officiating. Interment will follow at Desert Vista Community Cemetery, 2151 South Avenida Los Reyes. LAURENDEAU, Marjorie Ann (nee Cady), the loving daughter born to Dorothy and Earl Cady on May 7, 1931 in Tucson, died May 1, 1995. Formerly of Marina del Rey and Arnold, CA. Survived by mother, Dorothy Cady; sister, Sandra Cady Cook; and nieces and nephews. Memorial Mass offered Friday 9:00 a.m. Sacred Heart Church. Memorials may be made to Casa de los Ninos. MAC DONELL, Donald E., of Tucson, joined his wife Helen of 49 years, May 1, 1995. Donald was born in Detroit, Michigan May 18, 1904 and moved to Tucson in 1945. He was an active member of the Carpenters Union until his retirement. He is survived by his sons, Duncan of Tucson and Dennis of Irvine, CA; also he is survived by five grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at the Community of Hope Lutheran Church, 3141 W. Ironwood Hill Drive, Saturday, May 6 at 3:00 p.m.

SIGALA, Pablo, 74 years old, died Monday, May 1, 1995 in Tucson. Survived by his wife, Evarista Sigala of Rillito, AZ; five sons, Manuel G. Sigala, Joe C. Sigala, Carlos G. Sigala, Jesus Samuel Sigala, Pablo Sigala Jr.; six daughters, Mary Bustamante, Irene Espino, Teresa Nunez, Rosa Linda Reyes, Inez Ortiz, Connie Garcia; 32 grandchildren; and 24 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Mass for Mr. Sigala will be said at 9:00 a.m. at St. Odilia Church, 7570 N. Paseo Del Norte, on Thursday, May 4, 1995. Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, 1995 at WOLFREY PEACE CHAPEL, 5225 E. Speedway where Rosary will be said at 7:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. SNYDER, Virginia, 88, of Tucson, passed away May 1, 1995. Survived by son, Byron (Patricia) Snyder of Tucson; grandchildren, Mark, Marijke, Marta, Michael, Kenneth, Katherine, Kelly, Brett, Robin; 15 great grandchildren. Mrs. Snyder was preceded in death by her husband, Harlowe in 1985, as well as a daughter, Sally (Tom B.) Thamm in 1986. Family will hold services at a later date. VOSS, Joseph E., 89, of Tucson, passed away April 30, 1995. He is survived by his wife, Helen; niece, Faith Frazier of San Leandro, CA. Friends may call Wednesday 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, 2545 N. Tucson Blvd., (one block North Grant.) Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, with Entombment to follow at South Lawn Cemetery. Mr. Voss operated the Scott Street Newsstand in downtown Tucson for over 40 years. Memorials may be made to the SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church Adopt-A-Student Program. WATERS, John W., 44, passed away Friday, April 28, 1995. Survived by his wife, Linda Cookson Waters; son, Andrew J. (Heather); mother, Evelyn Bailey; sisters, Carrie Martin (Robert), Beverly Hall (Marion); brother, James Bailey, and many other loving family members and friends. Friends are invited to an Open House in celebration of John’s life, Thursday, May 4, 5:30-8:00 p.m. at the family home.

WHITE, Patti Colleen, born January 14, 1943, at peace April 30, 1995. Wife of Jim Ball; mother of Jeffry White, Melissa White, both of Tucson; also surviving are step-daughters, Debbie Mendoza of Tucson and Diana Jacobson of Tempe; and daughter-in-law, Mindy White. Patti is also survived by her mother, Ree Rule of Arcadia, CA; and a brother, Rick Rule of Sacramento, CA. Patti had 10 grandchildren all of who survive her. In her last years many friends were as close as family in helping Patti. Patti and I want to thank each and everyone who has shown such caring in Patti’s final struggle. There will be a small memorial for family and a few friends atop Mt. Lemmon on Thursday, May 4, 1995. In lieu of flowers for Patti, donations to the Brewster House would be appreciated.

YARIAN, Ellen May, a resident of Tucson for 40 years. A resident of Lake Havasu City for the past 6 years, died April 29, 1995 in Phoenix, at the age of 79. Born August 26, 1915 in Starkweather, ND. A past member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Survived by her daughters, Dana (Richard) Cronican of Warrenton, VA, Patricia (Floyd) Ash of Citrus Heights, CA and Sandra (Bill) English of Plainview, TX; grandchildren, Kelly Muzzin, Kimberly Fenton and Timothy Cronican. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 4, 1995 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY, 5401 S. Park Ave. Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY CHAPEL. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Easter Seals.

ZIMMER, Florence “Anne’, completed her earthly sojourn, April 29, 1995. She is survived by her son, Dan Zimmer of Tucson; daughters, Jean Zimmer of HI., and JoAnne Zimmer of Tucson; and one granddaughter, Melanie. Anne was born April 23, 1924 in Ohio. She graduated from Miami Valley School of Nursing and Central State College in Ohio. She had a lengthy career in nursing which included Amphi Public Schools and the D.O.D., and department schools in Japan, Turkey and Germany. The family is planning a memorial service.

ARNOLD, Delmer C., 74, went to be with his Lord at 12:47 a.m. on Sunday, April 30, 1995. He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Mary A. Minopoli-Arnold of Naples, Italy; daughter and son-in-law, Ruth and Tom Roubal; son and daughter-in-law, Eddie W. and Dianne; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and John Delfrari; daughter and son-in-law, Dianna and Richard Rosler; 12 grandchildren and two grandchildren’s spouses; and one great-grandchild. He is also survived by his sister, Berneice Matherly; brothers, Park, James and Elwood Arnold of Johnson County, TN; as well as a brother-in-law and family from Italy who live in Tucson. Born in Johnson County, TN, he served in North Africa and Italy with the 5th Army Medical Corps during World War II and was awarded two bronze stars. Living in Tucson for 48 years, he was employed as manager of Mulcahy Lumber Company and retired from Grant Road Lumber Company. He was awarded “Outstanding Salesman of the Year’ in Tucson prior to retirement. Services will be at SOUTH LAWN MORTUARY CHAPEL, 5401 S. Park Ave., at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3, 1995 with Dr. Bill Parker officiating. Friends may call prior to the service from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Interment South Lawn Cemetery.
