BLOOMER, Nadine C., passed away on January 10, 1995 at the age of 92. She was the last surviving member of her family of two brothers and two sisters, all born to Anne Graham and George Carter of Atchison County Kansas. Mrs. Bloomer lived in Kansas City, Missouri and worked as an executive secretary for the Missouri Pacific railroad until her marriage to Robert G. Bloomer of Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1929. The couple resided in Chihuahua, Mexico, where Mr. Bloomer was a mining engineer. Mr. and Mrs. Bloomer returned to Kansas City in 1930 where they raised two children, later moving to Tucson in 1953 after semi-retirement. Mrs. Bloomer is predeceased by her husband of 57 years, by her daughter, Suzanne and is survived by a son Robert Jr. of Tucson. She was a member of the Tucson Women’s Club, Grace-St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, and a parishioner at Central Baptist Church of Tucson. She was an especially nice woman, loving wife and Mother who is now at peace and who now would thank those who were her care givers and friends for their help and devotion. A Memorial Service will be held at Central Baptist Church on Thursday, January 12 at 10:00 a.m. with Graveside service and internment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery and Memorial Park. CASSIDY, Dorothy Mary, a 21 year resident of Tucson, passed away January 7, 1995, in Tucson at the age of 81. Born November 25, 1913 in Syracuse, NY. A previous resident of Syracuse, NY. She retired from General Electric after 28 years. Survived by her husband of 31 years, James E.; son, Russell (Betty) Barling; daughter, Doreen Benedict; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; step-children, Marilyn Wilsch, Joanne Mills, Donald and James Cassidy; 13 step-grandchildren; 10 step-great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 13, at Our Lady Queen of All Saints, 2915 E. 36th Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary’s Hospice, 1802 W. GALLOWAY, G. William “Bill’, born January 13, 1927 in Chambersburg, PA, died at home in Tucson, January 9, 1995. Survived by wife, Marie; sons, G. William (Tami) Galloway, Jr., and Jeffery (Debbie) Myers; daughter, Penny Myers; grandchildren, William Clayton, Audrey Kendell and Caitlin Kelly Galloway and Danielle and Melissa Myers; sister, Mrs. Willard (Jane) Workman; nephew, Tom Workman. Bill was an insurance adjuster, after which he had his own construction company. He was an Elder and Deacon at Northminster Presbyterian Church, Tucson, member of George Washington Lodge #143, F and A.M. and BPO Elks, Lodge #600, both in Chambersburg, PA. Donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 12, 1995 at Northminster Presbyterian Church, 2450 E. Ft. Lowell Road, with Dr. Andrew Ross and Dr. Richard Rowley officiating.
HALPERN, Tillie Unger, 82, of Tucson, died January 10, 1995. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph. She lives on in the hearts of her family: daughters, Barbara (David) Altman of Tucson and Judy Mize of Ojai, CA; grandchildren, Bob and Caryl Altman of Tucson, Steven and Lisa Altman and Jeff and Delsee Altman of San Diego, CA, Sarah and Ray Clusman of CA and Ken and Sue Perry of CA; 10 great-grandchildren; and brother, Sam (Jane) Unger of FL. HANNA, Donald Eugene, 68, of Tucson passed away January 8, 1995. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie R. Hanna; and his daughter, Rebecca R. Hanna-Armstrong. Survived by daughter, Mary Gordon Hanna of Tucson; sisters, Mary Gordon Yull, and Betty L. Cook, both of Geneseo, NY, and Alice Ann Sattora of Conesus Lake, NY; as well as an extended loving family from NY to CA. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:45 a.m., Sunday, January 15, 1995 following the worship service of Desert Springs Evangelical Presbyterian Church, at Adair Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. JACOME, Katie Hughes, passed away Sunday, January 8, 1995. She was born December 6, 1907 to Jesus and Teresa Lauterio Hughes in Bisbee, AZ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur in 1987 and her daughter, Renee Jacome Majors in 1993. She is survived by her sister, Alyce Manzo; many nieces and nephews, including Mary Florsheim and Dora Weaver. Also surviving her are son-in-law Robert C. Majors; grandson, Robert C. Majors, Jr. and wife, Barbara; one great-grandson, Timothy Kurzejeski; brother-in-law, Augustine Jacome; sisters-in-law, Estela, Alberta, and Margo Jacome. Rosary will be said Thursday, January 12 at 7:00 p.m. at ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel, 1050 N. Dodge Blvd. (at Speedway). Survived by wife, Ramona Cady Zazueta; parents, Francisca and Frank Zazueta; daughters, Cecilia (Nick) Salaz and Stella (Gilbert) Gill; son, Richard (Martha) Zazueta; brothers, Frank, Manuel, Ramon and Robert. Also survived by eight grandchildren, Gina, Devin, Nicholas, Gilbert Jr., Zachary, Yvonne, Nicole, and Christopher. Norberto was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy. He received several medals and commendation ribbons. Member of the DAV and FOE. He is at peace and going home to his eternal rest.
